61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had $50, what would you invest in? on: January 14, 2018, 04:54:13 PM
I would try to bet on some small coin and hope that the coin makes it big. If you get lucky, you can make your money 5x or something, in such a short amount of time. Otherwise, if you invest in a major coin, you may not make a significant amount at all.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shall we be afraid of bitcoin ? on: January 14, 2018, 04:49:17 PM
In my opinion there is no reason to be afraid. Such major changes have always happened in the world, we think such major shifts in the economy have always happened in the past, but they definitely can and are happening in our lifetimes as well. We shouldn't be afraid of bitcoin, we should rather try to figure out how we can adapt to it.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: January 14, 2018, 04:10:04 PM
The reason this is happening is that bitcoin is not centralized. With any other currency, you would just listen to the country that owns a certain currency, if you wanted some information about it. Since bitcoin is decentralized, and a lot of people are involved in it, the only way you can find out about bitcoin related news is social media, which definitely influences bitcoin's growth.
64  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-13] US Government Fears Bitcoin Will Be the Next “Swiss Bank Account” on: January 13, 2018, 01:30:55 PM
Bitcoin will never become big enough to render fiat obsolete. But they are right about the fact that once bitcoin is off the grid, it is very difficult to pinpoint the location of the money. It is why bitcoin became popular in the first place, and why governments are trying their best to control it.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about global bitcoin acceptance on: January 13, 2018, 01:28:58 PM
At this stage, I think companies are announcing that they accept btc as a novelty factor and pr move. Paying for something with bitcoin is not practical at this time, due to high transaction fees and times. Companies start supporting bitcoin because they can advertise that they are a modern company.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: January 13, 2018, 12:21:33 PM
There is no other way than being picky with ICOs. If you're investing in an ICO, you have to make sure that the product will be worth the money and that you can make profits. If you are a bounty hunter you have to make sure that the ICO will reach the hard cap so that you can get some bounty. ICOs and not being picky are mutually exclusive.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your recommendations please on: January 13, 2018, 12:17:08 PM
I'm hopeful about TRX. There is some uncertainty surrounding the coin, but there is a huge potential in my opinion. The coin hasn't been able to break past the $0.11 for some time now, but hopefully once the FUD clears, the price will start to increase once again.
68  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-1-13] Kraken Down Nearly 48 Hours, Gives Engineers Time to ‘Rest' on: January 13, 2018, 12:11:14 PM
This just goes to show how not ready exchanges were to offer services to the horde of new customers coming in every day. Of course, it is not good that an exchange is down for that long; but it's good that the kraken team is trying to solve the issues and the mass number of users is good news for crypto.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a chance that ALTCOIN will Replace Bitcoin In Future? on: January 13, 2018, 12:08:25 PM
Not probably, no. Bitcoin is THE coin that started all of this, so it will definitely be the most important coin for the foreseeable future. Altcoins are more specialized and they all have their niche purposes, but I think it won't be possible for altcoins to replace bitcoin.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will die if this is not sorted out on: January 13, 2018, 10:59:24 AM
It won't necessarily die, it's just a barrier of entry for new people who don't want to spend that much on fees, and also for current users, it turns bitcoin from a payment method to an investment method. Of course, this issue has to be addressed, but it definitely will not kill bitcoin.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for altcoins? on: January 11, 2018, 06:45:35 PM
I am using myEtherwallet, but heard there are some safety issues about it. I personally didn't have any problems till now.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: January 11, 2018, 06:39:47 PM
It depends on the ICO. If you read it well and believe in it, why not?! I strategy would be not joining at the very beginning but checking it out before joining to see if the ICO has made some steps. Nothing is safe in the crypto currency world, but still joining ICO's is a way to earn some crypto currency.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to buy Dogecoin and DeepOnion rather than Other altcoin? on: January 07, 2018, 05:09:27 PM
Dogecoin is a bit tricky right now, because the price is increasing but I think no one can tell exactly why. People say it has to do with the dog year that is a thing in China, so Chinese investors are investing in dogecoin. But the price of bitcoin has been stable for years now, and I don't see why it should start increasing suddenly.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of 2018 bitcoin price on: January 07, 2018, 05:07:49 PM
I think the price is going to be relatively stable until the middle of 2018, maybe minor increases at best. After that, we might see another push similar to last year, which according to my speculation will have us end up somewhere around $25K-$30K.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free Bitcoins - What is a bitcoin faucet? on: January 05, 2018, 09:24:25 AM
Most sites are legit alright, in terms of the money they pay out. The problem is that faucets are simply not worth your time. The activities you are required to do and the ads you have to watch take so much of your time and the btc they give you is so small that you are better off doing something else. Don't waste your time on faucets.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin market ever get saturated? on: January 05, 2018, 09:21:48 AM
Saturation in terms of a reduced maximum profit may happen, we may not see huge increases like the ones we are currently increasing. But in terms of new coins coming to the market, I think this will definitely continue and some nice profit opportunities will be possible in the future as well.
77  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are Coinbase being deliberately stupid/inefficient? on: January 05, 2018, 09:04:17 AM
I doubt they would do it deliberately, they wouldn't willingly kill their own business. My guess is, when the backends of such exchanges were designed, they initially had way fewer customers in mind. But whenever btc hits the news, a massive wave of new users flood the exchanges, meaning the exchanges are technically not equipped to meet the new customers' needs. Some upgrades and improvements are definitely needed.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: January 05, 2018, 09:01:45 AM
Wait for the price to correct itself a little before buying right now, after huge pushes like this the price will definitely go down a little before starting to rise again. I plan to buy some more TRX once the decreases to around the $0.17 level.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - buy some more? on: January 05, 2018, 08:58:31 AM
I'm not confident in IOTA, to be honest with you. Most people have their doubts about the coin and the trajectory of the coin price has been really unpredictable so far, it's fluctuating for no reason. I plan to sell the rest of my IOTA when the price hopefully hits the $5 mark once again.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryoto Currency can make you Rich, Do you agree ? on: January 05, 2018, 08:56:30 AM
Yes, but it's not a scientific fact that cons will definitely increase by 1000%, otherwise everybody would buy alts and hodl since it would be free money. If you manage to invest early in promising coins and can manage to hodl or trade smartly, then yes, you can make a lot of money.
