61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: August 21, 2018, 09:30:38 PM
The gold as seen by most metal mongers is quite precious and no doubt the gold is a value commodity. If you see the bitcoin as a golden digital asset, then so be it, if not consider it a digital currency and you are safe. Just make sure that you understand the parameters, purposes and privileges the crypto works and offers.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: August 21, 2018, 03:56:08 PM
The idea of bitcoin is more than an investment or currency. It is a revolution that is set to completely tun around the definition of what a currency is and how we do business. The only thing that we need to o is to put some regulations against the work of scammers and fraudsters.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man sells house. Earns $20,000,000 from Bitcoins on: August 09, 2018, 06:54:40 PM
There is a possibility that many crypto players and risk takers will much benefit from the crypto invention as we continue to see new horizons and make new innovations come true by tech advancement. Very good to hear this as it will boost the crypto credit and bring more stability.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man sells house. Earns $20,000,000 from Bitcoins on: August 09, 2018, 12:06:10 AM
I am happy for him. This is an indicator that the crypto space is viable and can be profiteering for any diligent and risk managed asset. I am absolutely convinced that the crypto idea is here to stay and become the 21st century innovation.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Machine in Nigeria. on: August 07, 2018, 08:07:47 PM
While this is a welcome news if true, I am yet to find where this ATM is located and I am quite sure the patronage it will receive is going to be staggering. However, there is a snag. While the ATM is to facilitate the speedy transaction, we need to ask who have set this up and what are they into? How does the user interact with the machine. Overall again I think that the cyber security around this kind of unit MUST be airtight.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinions on all the Bitcoin forks on: August 07, 2018, 05:40:20 PM
Whatever are the decisions and opinions of people on the fork, the fork is here to stay and there is not a thing anyone can do about it. What we must now do is to invest in the profitable forks or coins of the bitcoin and use them for the purposes for which the fork emerged in the first instance. The coins certainly have potential and as such we must use them as altcoins.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: August 07, 2018, 04:48:28 PM
First let me point out that regulation in itself is not a threat to bitcoin. What is a threat to bitcoin is centralization. The truth is that in an attempt to allow the crypto space to run without any form of regulations, extant laws and rules, anarchy becomes the system and did ear dog the rule. A measure of regulation will bring sanity and stability and see real growth.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing can stop Bitcoin! Big News! on: August 07, 2018, 04:13:34 PM
The bitcoin revolution is here and only the crypto lovers can actually stop this revolution. The idea, however of changing all your altcoins to bitcoin is personal and no news in my opinion, should make someone put all your financial assets in one basket. Good lick as the coin sees a bullishrun.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing can stop Bitcoin! Big News! on: August 05, 2018, 04:50:02 PM
Yes, so far great news have a way of bringing vigour to the platform reassuring investors of their decisions and further strengthening the community. However, one great news is like drinking some cold water in the summer heat. We need to brace up and take the crypto community to the next level, for example by collectively rallying round it when it suffers an external blow from naysayers at the same time promoting healthy icos on the platforms.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the opportunities we have in blockchain? on: August 05, 2018, 04:24:58 PM
The blockchain ledger no doubt is one of the finest ledger or 'vehicle' on which the coins especially bitcoin is hoisted and have consistently shown progressive progressive upon improving and expanding its capacity. Blockchain offers quite a number of benefits and the prominent one amongst many is the opportunity and platform to bring decentralised financial operations to bear within or alongside the fiat system, this gives you the high and varied choices of doing stuff with your assets from the comfort of your apartment.... The bitcoin devs no doubt did a great job.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: August 05, 2018, 04:17:53 PM
Bitcoin is at the forefront of cryptocurrency no doubt and there is no contesting the fact. However, the tendency of the upscaling of the altcoins is a direct indicator that the profitability and volume of these coins is circulation no doubt helps in stabilising the crypto market and equally increase the holding profitability and assets of the coins is quite commendable. But to say that the bitcoin has no competitor is not entirely true.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin down, altcoin rise. why? on: August 05, 2018, 04:08:37 PM
Altcoins are alternative currencies from the bitcoin and quite a number of these are hoisted on the blockchain.  However, when a thorough understanding of the nomenclature of the bitcoin and its algorithmic functions and iterations operates, it becomes easier to trade these alternative currencies and make good profit. This is what may have happened. Another reason may be the fact that the altcoins are now hoisting their own ledgers. This is a formidable way of preventing the domino effect of the fall (free) of the bitcoin price.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Analysis 1st August 2018 | Going Bullish Or Bearish? on: August 04, 2018, 07:02:26 PM
The heat and fire that the bitcoin came under indeed crashed the price and brought it to its knees. Its beginning again to rally with an occasional hiccup and setbacks. When the price will touch the $20k mark is still largely speculative. The price of the bitcoin though largely determined by external and internal forces, Much can be achieved on the bullish side by proper crypto activities by the community in either hodling or transacting and not massive sudden dumping. Its certainly going bullish but at a slow rate.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INTERNET = BITCOIN? on: August 04, 2018, 06:54:42 PM
The internet and the bitcoin only get as similar as it could get on the level it has gotten. The diff between the internet is vast and quite significant. The internet is the vehicular protocol that allows info to be speedily disseminated. Not so with the bitcoin and the blockchain. The internet is centralised and may be monitored by individuals. Not so with the bitcoin. Bitcoin is an instrument (within the community that accepts it) as a means of exchange. The internet is NOT an instrument of payment and/or exchange. The bitcoin fluctuates in price. Not the internet.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake volume in exchanges on: August 04, 2018, 05:47:37 PM
Whale-like activities are readily possible to manipulate potential investors, push prices of the coins they trade bullish and equally do so to have a large volume appearance. Bots are quite known to repeat activities of a single transaction making it look as real timetransactions, however a careful analysis of the situation shows that this indeed may be a bad turn for crypto and thus give the naysayers what is a long hook to catch the bitcoin and give it a bad name.  On the all I think this is only on a few desperate sites.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: August 04, 2018, 05:32:42 PM
While bitcoin is not exactly nascent, there have been leaps and bounds in the crypto world ever since its inception. Unfortunately, because the technology is still evolving many are the hidden, unknown and yet to be discovered challenges or harmful tendencies that may be exploited to ruin people. However, it is usually the duty of the holder to make sure thereare safety measures set to protect the user from invaders and attacks on their wallets, especially when online- like using a metamesk additional protection. Never access your wallets from a public computer. Never use weak or traceable passwords. Avoid using passwords that have links to your birthday, anniversary or events about you. Never, ever, click on unsolicited mails. Its very dangerous. Bookmark your trusted sites. When these precautions are dutifully observed, more often than not, you are protected by over 95%. Stay safe and bitcoin will be as safe as keeping your transactions with your bank safe and private.
77  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Was coinmarketcap hacked? on: August 04, 2018, 11:07:10 AM
Well coinmarketcap from my sources was not hacked, but I understand that signals of decisions by holders of coins indicated that the prices were going to have a bearish run. This kind of triggered a domino effect on some other cpoin holders and as such the negative figs riding on the market..,,,
I hear it is stabilised now.! Cheers.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin will not hit 20000 soon? on: August 03, 2018, 04:53:14 PM
The nosedive of the bitcoin price early this year was a result of certain cumulative factors that hit hard the price. These include but not limited to massive dump of coins, hyper purchase of coins as a reason of a long run of increase, non compulsive actions of bitcoin holders such as holding and not divesting....etc. The price of the bitcoin may take a while to come back to area $20k home run as day by day the community is assailed by many actions within and without the bitcoin community. A prop of the prices by way of continual purchase, promotion and nonnegative media presentation will help the price climb back again. However this is also a collective effort in the right direction.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies to Bitcoin can be dangerous! on: August 03, 2018, 04:40:24 PM
I have run into several Bitcoin "newbies" over the last couple of months, that are spreading the wrong information on forums and/or in person. Their intentions is good, but the results is bad, because they did not do proper research.

Some of these people are selling themselves as experts, because they have been in the scene for a few months. I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

I think you should rather admit it, when you do not know something about the technology, than selling your little knowledge as facts. I will regularly tell people that I am not clued up with every aspect of this technology, but I always try to do proper research, when I encounter something that I am not 100% clued up on.

~ Ask, if you not sure.
~ Do not lie, if you are unsure.
~ Do proper research, before you educate other people.
~ Accept that you will not know it all.
~ Fact check what you already know.
~ Do not argue, if you not sure about your facts.

Let's agree that we all learn something new about this great technology almost every day, so only a small amount of us are experts.  Wink
The 'newbies' in my opinion ,any not necessarily be newcomers in the entirety, but old folks with new accounts who just want to ask some 'silly' questions flood the forum with these kind of posts. How did I reach this conclusion? I am still new hear but I had to be careful taking time to know what to do and where to go to. I am also aware that new folks introduced by me took time before they could post anything and would rather, outside the forum, ask questions  privately.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you do when someone say bitcoin is illegal thing? on: August 03, 2018, 04:32:09 PM
If someone does not know about the bitcoin or simply thinks or assumes that the bitcoin is a afraid or illegal commodity, the person should Google South Korea, China, and Japan who have roundly supported the bitcoin by mining, exchanging and selling same to potential investors are stupid then you need to think again as these countries are technologically advanced and set the pace in crypto technology, usage and application.
