63  Other / Meta / Re: Is it legal to give a negative trust to a 'BM' who ended a scam project? on: June 18, 2018, 03:50:41 AM
To admins, high rank members and members,

We should have the right to give negative trust to a bounty managers or rate their records. This must be the answer to prevent wasting our time and efforts. In that case this will push them to examine their project carefully before they're going to post their thread here. Or else they will put their name on shame. As what I had experienced as a newbie member here, I had wasted so much time and efforts creating and sharing those project just to promote them but it ended up on nothing. I like what I'm doing but it is very stressful when you ended up on nothing! Maybe some of the Bounty manager here really know from the beginning that their project was really a scam but because of the shares they will have they intended to make a newbie account or use their secondary account just to make money through scamming. For me it is acceptable if the project ended on not reaching their soft cap but ended up on a scam project that's hurt a lot!

NO TO SCAM PROJECT!!
PREVENT A SCAM PROJECT!!!
NEWBIE MUST NOT PUT THEIR EFFORT IN VAIN!!!!

Yes, It is Bounty Managers duty to distinguish the project if it is a SCAM or not. But i dont agree on giving all users right to apply a negative trust because it can be used in bad way. I think what you can do to prevent on Joining in SCAM projects, is doing a research on that project, know the Team. Reading their WP will also give you a lot of info you need. Be meticoulous.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Do you think/believe Bitcoins 2017 highs were artificially inflated? on: June 17, 2018, 11:53:16 PM
As the title says, Do you think Bitcoin's 2017 highs were artificially inflated? Is it possible to manipulate price of Bitcoin?
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2018, 05:56:19 PM
So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies. And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies. Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
What do you think is the reason behind this?

Decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum have strong advantages over centralized financial systems, primarily because of their ability to function and operate without a single point of failure, which hackers and bad actors can target.Cryptocurrencies are the disrupters that threaten the use case of banks. We have already see this in countries with challenging economies, where banks can steal your money, or economic mismanagement can devalue it before you have the chance to spend it

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in an ICO? on: June 09, 2018, 11:36:54 AM
Good day fellow investors,

I have some spare eth and btcs and I am searching for an alternative way to invest, is ICO really worth it? and if it is, I heard there are scams, what can you recommend I should do?

Regards.

The main advantage when you participate in ICO is that you can buy their coin at discounted price. Investing in ICO is good as long as you invest in a good one.  You should perform your own research to ascertain that the ICO is a good project.  You should join their official communication channels such as Slack or Telegram to receive the latest updates and ask questions directly to the developing team.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FAKE ICOs Bounties. What to do? on: June 08, 2018, 04:40:55 PM
I am a newbie just trying to grow on this platform. Within a week of participating in altcoin bounties, 2 bounties I participated in have been reported as Scammers. I get a lot of reads on my articles and Social media pages. I cannot keep encouraging people to invest in these altcoins if they would eventually get scammed. How can new bounty hunters like myself differentiate between a genuine bounty and scammers bounty?

I suggest you to spent time to Read their whitepaper. The vision of the ICO as articulated in the white paper would give you an idea of how long term or short term the project is  Know the Team - Be careful enough to do a background check on the members of the team that manage the ICO.  Trusted Bounty Manager - for me this is a factor. Join in a campaign managed by trusted BM.
Legit ICOs  should have a unique selling point of technology, solutions, and problems that they are solving.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: News: Bitcoin won't be Global Currency on: June 07, 2018, 07:29:46 AM
I got caught up in this news last 6 hours ago, most of us participants are hoping that Bitcoin will someday become a Global Currency, why is that?

Any thoughts or opinions about this?

I think Bitcoin now can be considered as global currency. it is being used by million of users. With a decentralized system of currency, government or banks don’t have any ties to the currency. Bitcoin also is easy to transfer to locations around the world. It can be used to buy goods ad services in some contries like here in PH. The main problem of BTC as currency i think is its highly volatility - means the value of a bitcoin can fluctuate drastically—and often there is no way to predict a fluctuation or explain why one may have occurred.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC transaction fees is going down. on: June 07, 2018, 07:10:25 AM
From last few days, btc transactions fees has been reduced remarkably. Even its transactions fees are now lower than bitcoin cash. It is really a great news for btc trader i think. How it can help the current market?? Share your logic please .

The average cost of sending a bitcoin transaction is cheaper than last months. Do you think this is due to users are making fewer transactions right now?
Less user transactions, less congestion hence lower fees. However, Do miners, computer operators who devote real-world costs to securing transactions will earn less too?
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: June 06, 2018, 08:23:51 AM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

Bitcoin now only seems to serve a limited set of use cases. It is not very private, it’s becoming harder to upgrade and add new features to the protocol making it resistant to new technologies and innovations. Also, transactions are generally slow and becoming expensive. Despite of this, it does not failed as a currency. In fact in our country, we can use it to buy goods and pay services like internet and Electricity bills.

It is now considered as one of digital asset.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: June 06, 2018, 07:54:25 AM
I had arguments  with my friends  who are always  tagging  bitcoin with negativity. Today, we argued  and I educated them on bitcoin and Ponzi scheme.  To me Ponzi scheme  is when developers takes  money from new entrance to pay early birds, rinse and repeat until they raise enough and vanish. But bitcoin  is not like that.  Do you think I am right?

Bitcoins are essentially a commodity with a fixed rate of issuance.  It is not a ponzi because after you've acquired bitcoins, there is no promise extended that you can redeem them for any value and there are no dividends paid to those who hold bitcoins.   Bitcoins are traded, so the exchange rate can rise or fall, so there are those who will buy or sell bitcoins to speculate on the price
