61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2017, 07:07:38 PM
I won't spend my time discussing bitcoin with these kind of people. They are close minded and everything you will say to them is useless. I will just open topics about bitcoin with those who I think is smart enough to understand the benefits of bitcoin.

I think you can convince them to invest bitcoin by showing them a proof that when you trade bitcoin, you're able to make profit for example : I dislike trading but I'm a bitcoin investor so as you can see after I've hold bitcoin over three years, I able sold bitcoin in higher value

Agreed with you, if anyone has any misconception about the bitcoins the we can try to remove it. We should spread the awareness among these people so that they will understand the beauty of bitcoins. It will also help the bitcoin community to grow.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: September 01, 2017, 06:55:18 PM
Yes it possible to hack the wallets and we have seen many examples in the past wherein peoples coins has been stolen. Its advisable to use more security to your wallets and only trusted wallets should be used for storing the coins.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 2nd Hand Honda Civic on: September 01, 2017, 06:42:20 PM
1 BTC = 2nd Hand Honda Civic

Tell me your predictions at the middle of September, what will be the market price of 1 BTC?

That's the power of bitcoins. I think one bitcoin will be priced around 5200 - 5300 by the middle of September month, if the current trend continues.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think the price correction will occur? on: September 01, 2017, 06:21:28 PM
And how much could it go down? Any ideas? I bought myself a Bitcoin when it was around 2500 $ and I'm kinda angry at myself that I didn't buy another one.

Once the correction happens, will you guys buy more bitcoins?

There will be a correction before the end of this year but still the value of the bitcoin will remain above $5000. I may be wrong but this is what i think. Obviously, it will be a good opportunity to collect more bitcoins in case of correction.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: August 30, 2017, 01:59:24 PM
I did lose some when I was a newbie in trading but after all the losses I eventually win and made money. All my effort in learning trading paid off and now I am also earning from signature campaign.
earning good income is the need of the day we should have a lot of money to make our dream come true today bitcoin is one of the best source of income. If you have money then invest it in bitcoin it will help you to secure your future. As I want to buy my own house and want to buy a car and want to become very rich my all dreams are depended on bitcoin and I am sure son I will achieve all my goals of life to get rich and I am doing the most important thing the HARD WORK for it so wish me good luck mate.
True, we have to look for our future and we should not look for other type of investment because bitcoin is possible to make our dreams come true.
Looking at how it progress now, I think we should see that it's still early to ride now, the word to go moon is real, we will go to the moon as price skyrocket.

It is possible to become a rich with the bitcoins but for that you have to work really hard. You have to collect the bitcoins on a regular basis and you should hold them for the longer period. If you continue to invest into the bitcoins for 10-15 years then you could be the owner of lot of bitcoins and ultimately you will become a rich.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: I predict: 50 Trillion dollar market cap and BTC TV channels, within a year on: August 30, 2017, 01:50:57 PM
You are expecting way too much. First a Bitcoin TV channel would have no purpose and then a 50 trillion dollar market cap would mean that each bitcoin is worth more than 3 million dollars. That sounds crazy, especially "within a year" !

Within a year is a dream but its a different story within 10 years and more. " MOORES LAW"

Well I hope the BTC TV channels are as good as the "fiat TV" channels.

I suppose people are going to spend most of their day discussing the implications of nodes/hashrate/pools/forks?

Also, I don't think there are actually 50 trillion dollars in circulation, so it would require hyperinflation of the dollar over the next year for this to happen.

Because technology is improving every minute, we cant blame to talk things like this because they are just concerned on bitcoins future but still we dont have much to lose if it happens that they will make a coin that is much more better than bitcoin with a corresponding number of coins like what happened to BTC AND BTC.

Agreed that technology is improving day by day and its absolutely fine to expect unrealistic targets. But I think its not possible within a year, It would take at least 20-25 years to reach at that level.
67  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] CORION Signature Campaign on: August 30, 2017, 01:39:24 PM
Just got this,

haha well that's what happens when the the funds aren't escrowed. However, I hope that they settle this down soon. But kind of not fair since then it should be in an alt-coin services.
payment is bitcoin. Because thats the payout they said. So in the first place you create bounty not a signature campaign . Rule is rule.

Agreed that if they wants to pay us with Corion coins then this campaign should be in the alt section.I think BlackMambaPh should spread some light on this issue; I am aware that, he has already warned the participants to join this campaign at their own risk but at least he should keep us updated regarding the progress.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin thieves ? on: August 30, 2017, 01:29:37 PM
That article is talking about failed exchanges and exchanges where are undergoing problems. In this situation is easy to protect your bitcoin, just keep them in your wallet and don't keep them on an exchange. Choosing a desktop wallet is better than choosing a web wallet and choosing a hardware wallet is the best you can do to protect your coins.
That's right. we all need to know that while we are holding our founds on an exchanger it is actually exchanger's founds, but not ours. So, in the case that if the exchanger decides to close it's activity or if the exchanger hacked we loose everything what we counted as our money and we can't do anything about that. Online wallets can be called the same type as exchangers and logically they are not safe. But Hardware and paper wallets can give you that protection that is really needed in the world when you are surrounded by scammers.

Agreed with you, there are few examples wherein people have lost their bitcoins after the exchange filed bankruptcy (Mt.Gox) . Hackers are also able to steal the coins from the online wallets. So as per me only hardware wallets are safe at the moment in order to protect the coins from the thief.
69  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL]WeiMixer.com Ethereum Mixer | Signature Campaign | $3/post | Jr. and Above on: August 30, 2017, 12:54:18 PM
Hey guys are you not worried that the post count did not reset for this week? Because it would be a lot of trouble for the campaign manager if he forgot to reset it back to zero. I just hope it won't be be bad on our side.

I messaged OP but didn't get any response from him nor he has come online after pay day..He should make announcement on the thread.
I believe this is not a big issue as he give payments for last week he has all data so he can manage this again for next week easily but setting bot is more good for him hope he will fix this in next few days because new set up and things always need time to give perfect results
Exactly , he has the post count so he just has to subtract the last post of the week to the last post of the previous week inorder to get the post count of the current week

We do not need to worry because I think WeiMixer will not be organizing the campaign if he can't manage it, either way, as stated and quoted, he has the post count so this will not be a problem. We received the payment in the previous week without a problem, have some faith.

There is no need to worry and this is not a big issue; its OP's responsibility to collect the correct data in order to make the correct payment. WeiMixer is the owner and manager of this signature campaign, so he must be already ready with the required data. As far as we are getting the payment on time, there should not be any complain from our side.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 30, 2017, 12:38:20 PM
Sanity has prevailed! Bangladesh won as they should have. While west indies went against the odds! That was an incredible feat to do that. Australia was disappointing thou! They way they collapsed shows that their ever lasting spin problem hasn't got away from them! Overall excellent matches for cricket! Congratulations to both the winning teams.

Terrific performance by the Bangladeshi team, they have now beaten the best and top test team of the world cricket. Australia must be in a shock; David Warner & Pat Cummins really fought well but they fell short by 20 runs and lost the match. Excellent performance by the Shakib Al Hasan, he proved once again that why he is No 1 all rounder in the world cricket.

Spreadsheet forwarded to the owner for the payments. I'm also waiting to their payment for me.

Regards,
BlackMambaPh

Thank you BlackMambaPh, did you got any reply from them regarding the date and time of the payment ? Many participants are waiting for their payment, it would be great if we get any news from the Corion Team. Thanks Smiley
73  Other / Meta / Re: Account hacked and email changed on: August 30, 2017, 06:06:04 AM
I dont have an address to sign tied to the account. The admins can clearly see my email was changed probably by some ip in eastern europe or something. Can't they just see that and reset it to the original email?
They can,they won't.
The only accepted way of proving account ownership is through signing messages from a staked address .About the IP tracing, resetting accounts being the least priority of the admins, they won't invest time to do all that hence signed messaged.I'm afraid you will ever get your account back if you fail to provide ownership.

Exactly, it will be very difficult for the OP to prove the ownership of the account if he is unable to provide the signed message from the staked address. There are so many users on this forum and many of them are keep changing their email ids and passwords; so the admins can not check each and every case as they must be busy with other important work.
74  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL]WeiMixer.com Ethereum Mixer | Signature Campaign | $3/post | Jr. and Above on: August 29, 2017, 02:34:00 PM
Thanks for the payment , Received my desired payment!

Hope that this campaign will last long and I hope that we can promote WeiMixer.com well in this forum.
Wow.The rate of hero member is 1 point per post, 1 point is 3 USD and the maximum post you can make per week is 60 so if you posted 60 during this week you will be payed 180 USD. That's a lot of money  Shocked .

If you look at it carefully, not only the Heros got that type of payment. Sr. Members like me also share that kind of payment weekly. I think they are not giving it for free but they are just that desperate to pay people so they can advertise their services and I think they are serious about how they want people to use their site.
I wish i was a Hero member or at least Sr. member so i could earn that huge.

Be active on this forum and contribute to the community, one day you will also become a Senior/Hero Member Smiley
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits from Gambling on: August 29, 2017, 02:29:24 PM
Actually after years of gambling, I have never felt any significant benefits or advantages. It's just that time, I'm quite happy together with my friends after a day of working and tired. But for those who have never gambled, I suggest never gamble.
I also never saw any benefit from gambling. One positive thing that can be gained from gambling is when we win and earn money. Besides That we just lose and lose money.

For me, gambling can ease anxiety after work, earned income is also able to encourage more relaxed spirit and do not need to discuss with many people, the benefits gained far more than the addictive effects that arise because I make gambling just as entertainment.
For me, gambling are the laughing stock of earning (ease, fun, profit etc). Everyone has his own taste but I will suggest trying bringing smile on the face of a needy person. You will realize what true happiness is and what is meant by humanity. Everyone can live for himself, heroes live for others. Be that hero in someone's life.

There are few benefits of the gambling, only if you are playing for the good things. You can play for fun, enjoyment and to pass the time. If you playing once in a while and if you are lucky enough, then you can also win good money. There are many people who are professional gambler, after having enough experience they are able to book good profit regularly.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: August 29, 2017, 02:20:26 PM
Hi guys!
We all know that gambling is not only a fun but also potential danger. So are you limiting yourself somehow when gambling? DO you use casino's instruments to prevent you spending more money?
Or do you just limit yourself by setting a certain amount of money to spend? Or you don't limit yourself at all?
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Yours OshiHugo, Oshi.io CM

I limit my self when gambling. It's really hard to gamble with all of your money. I don't really take gambling seriously, I usually just gamble to play with my friends and to have fun. I think that gambling is made for entertainment, and it's stressful if you gamble and just think of the money.

Which makes stress is when gambling and we lose all the money that is owned, regardless of us gamble with whom good friends, other people and gambling online. Because stress is related to what we miss
It's not safe to always think about the money because it's not everything. It shouldn't be the one that dictates your actions because it could lead to catastrophic events in your life. Not only that it could lead you astray with decisions, it would make your friends wary of you, that's why we need limits.
You do have a point on which money isnt everything but when a certain person do plays gambling majority would already think of this thing which money would really be anything and would be the main target and sad to say its the reality why most people do play gambling. Limitation is always been suggested but once we are on the battlefield we would definitely forget those limitations we do set.
When we have a specific target we also have to have a good plan in gambling, in every gambling we must have the right time and strategy that we will apply. And of course added with very high emotional control. With that we may be able to get something to expect in the gambling

People who are involved in the gambling should know their limits and play accordingly. If someone can not afford to loose the money and if it is going to affect their financial condition then they should stay away from the gambling. I think gambling should be consider for entertainment and recreation purpose only. Even if you have enough money, then also limit of the loss should be set to avoid further loss.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin the new gold on: August 29, 2017, 02:12:24 PM
I've been analyzing all this happening with bitcoin and I'm coming to the following conclusion:

Before the most important asset was the gold in which everyone wanted and possessed, the governments were displacing gold with money a centralized asset which lost its value day by day.

Bitcoin is an asset that goes up in price for all the features that Satoshi thought and gave to it.

Today there are hundreds of altcoins and for sure there are some that are much better than bitcoin, and that these will be more used than bitcoin in the future, but bitcoin will be the king of all the new digital gold. People will use other altcoins as well, but the savings and investments will be in bitcoin, and this is for the simple reason that it was the first altcoin, and that people believed in it from its beginnings.

The bitcoin is here to stay and has created a revolution in the monetary system around the world. And we can be proud to be living the moment when this is happening.

Bitcoin is heading to $4,000 usd per coin and I am sure that the price of bitcoin in 3 years will be exponentially higher than is today.

In Bitcoin we trust, god bless you all

Yes, bitcoin can be consider as new gold, which value is increasing day by day. Current value of the bitcoins has been already crossed 4600 $ and it may touch 5000 $ by the end of the September month. Bitcoins are producing highest returns if we compare it with the gold, so as per me bitcoin is the new digital gold.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Major Gold investor is entering Bitcoin market on: August 29, 2017, 01:34:00 PM
One of the biggest asset managers in the United States and major investor in the gold market, VanEck, is now entering the Bitcoin. The investment giant is currently managing an estimated amount of $38 billion in assets. The firm which was founded in 1955, has offices in the United States, Germany, and Australia, which in recent years has focused on precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum.

The market capitalization of Gold is about $7 Trillion, compared to the market cap of Bitcoin which is a little over $71 billion, Bitcoin appears relatively small. But VanEck believes that there still a lot of potential in the Bitcoin market.

Agreed with you, there has been incredible potential in the bitcoins if we talk about the future growth. Bitcoin is still young in the markets, it is less than decade old and it is already performing really good. It is a very good news that global leaders in the markets are backing bitcoins; it will attract more people to adapt the bitcoins.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 29, 2017, 01:27:35 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

Well, I guess btc will still be popular even at a stable price. Usually, investors are looking for stability before they invest so I'm sure that btc will not lose an investor. Though, it being unstable is a great factor that attracts more people into it especially traders. It will still be popular even if the value is stable but not so much as popular as it is today. So I'd still go with unstable since it is the very reason why it got so popular that most people are eager to have their own btc.
i don't think so, i think it will lose ts popularity and most of the people goes toward other crypto to gain profit and in the mean of trading. the beauty of bitcoin is that its price is keeps on changing and from the day it has started it is going high and high and that is thing that a lot of people and investors coming towards it in the sake of profit.
- I agree with you, investors focus more on bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is always changing, that makes them make more money. If bitcoin has a stable price, they will not earn money and bitcoin will be like gold, they will eventually get rid of it and seek out new investments
- In addition, bitcoin is a place for whales to make money, they will not let the price of the bitcoin stabilize, they will always pump strong or dump strong to make money with bitcoin, wanting the price of bitcoin stable is an impossible thing

Yeah I think investors will lose their interest in bitcoin if bitcoin prices stabilize because their purpose of investing in bitcoin is one of fluctuation. if bitcoin prices become stable maybe many of them will go away because they do not find profits quickly anymore. Maybe they will choose gold because it is safer than bitcoin

Agreed with you, mostly traders will suffer as there will be less movement in the price; hence, there will be less opportunities to make the profits if the price of the bitcoins became stable. On the other hand, it will attract new investors who are looking for the long term investment.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: Governments and banks are using you on: August 29, 2017, 01:21:17 PM

Everyone that is currently "investing" in BTC and other cryptos are the "crash test dummies" of the future.

Most major banks and many large/wealthy governments are coming up with their own cryptocurrencies.

Why have these entities not released them yet?  Because they are watching, waiting, and learning from all of the mistakes that other cryptos are making.

High fees.

Slow transactions.

Volatility.

Insecurity of wallets and exchanges.

Public distrust.

Reactions to media attention.

Criminality/money laundering.

Backed by fiat currency.

Lack of patent.

And on and on.

I've been reading this forum for days and I don't see this big picture addressed except in rare cases.  Almost everyone making predictions truly believes that BTC will be around for 50-100 years let alone 2-3.  Every day that goes by is just one more day that forces and entities with far bigger market caps than $100 billion are learning from all of the mistakes and problems plaguing the existing paradigm.

If one is to make a wise investment, they need to be aware of how quickly these markets can change...and literally overnight.  I don't expect much from the fanatics other than irrational reasons why my train of thought is flawed, but I do hope I see some of those individuals that are usually silent come out of the woodwork to offer solutions.  In other words, BTC can only survive if its community takes a mostly pragmatic point of view.  Otherwise it is doomed to be raped and discarded in a way that will leave most reliving their failure to act like that will leave permanent emotional scars like that of PTSD.

Government and banks could not succeed if they launch cryptocurrencies; most of the people are using the bitcoins because it is decentralized digital currency. If government involved, then there will be authorities who will watch and monitor each and every activity related to that currency and it will also end the freedom of the cryptocurrencies.
