64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fixes a Greek problem – but not the Greek debt problem on: July 18, 2015, 03:55:47 AM
Bitcoin can fix pretty much all the corrupted financial spending from government but governments are too happy wasting money and just using their people to keep getting on bigger debt.

67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cloudmining VS Investments(trading) on: July 18, 2015, 03:16:23 AM
we all know for a fact mining is not profitable why are this mining companies still around, how are they still making profit and why are people putting money into this.

i think its mostly attractive to people because its easy; theres nothing to do except buy "hashing power" and sit back as the pennies roll in. cloud mining lets people feel like they have an actual share in the mining scene without the hassle of maintaining/replacing hardware, keeping up with the newest asics, etc.

I got a pretty good deal from a friend that paid 6 months for a cloud mining shares, mostly people that want to experience the bitcoin mining scene with out buying equipment with their credit cards or fiat.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 17, 2015, 03:26:44 PM
i have emit (this day !) a transaction with 0,0001 BTC of fees, no problem ... no delay.

I have also been able to send a transaction with auto fees with no problem today, most likely we will be in this normal volume of transactions for the comings days since we don't know when the next stress test will begin.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of members of BitcoinTalk sentenced in a court of law concerning Bitcoin. on: July 17, 2015, 02:23:54 PM
Is good to see a few of this members over come their legal trouble, even with the bitcoin field being so new there is always good lawyers out there to represent you in case you need it.
70  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 17, 2015, 02:04:02 PM
everyone at lease should have a few thousand satoshis from a faucet in this forum or a small fraction of bitcoin from an altcoin sell hehehe, altcoin are always a good way to get small amounts of bitcoin when they give them out for free.

I do currently have more then 1 bitcoin hopefully i could keep getting more.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: News: Putin on: July 17, 2015, 01:53:46 PM

 Watch this videos guy...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmIkfx5lxz8 (start from 56.minute about virtual currency but it s only russian Sad )

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvk8TE7Y9PI
Putin says he has discussed cryptos with the central bank's head. Central bank has already said it's willing to regulate Bitcoin, not ban it.
That's a good sign of Russian authorities warming up to Bitcoin.

if you know russian could you translate the section of video about virtual currency ?
I think the most important words from that video have been translated already.
http://www.coinfox.info/news/2404-vladimir-putin-you-can-use-bitcoins-for-some-operations
What is written there is correct. In the video they also talk about electronic fiat payments, but that's irrelevant to this discussion.

Putin vision is getting to the point anything that could help over come the western restriction on Russia will work, bitcoin here we go.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ING is being hypocritical about bitcoin on: July 17, 2015, 03:40:50 AM
How much money did ING get back from the 2008 bail out, you can blame the banks for acting like this is the government keeps babysitting them for centuries.
banks are the bully from the school and we are all younger kids, all we have to do is kick the bully in the balls and call it a day, bitcoin is our tool!
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Controversial Backpage.com Warmly Welcomes Bitcoin on: July 14, 2015, 10:42:33 PM
I've never heard of backpage.com but I'm assuming this is big news.
Any site or company that decides to accept BTC is beneficial for the community. However, having read some comment above that claim it's the silkroad equivalent of Craigslist, you're going to get many more sceptics associating Bitcoin with crime and grey area goods.
I think the companies that will have a big affect on the price of BTC when they begin accepting Bitcoin include; Apple, Amazon, Walmart, Netflix and various other TNCs. It's important that it's an international establishment and not something unique to one country.

I get the view on a more of a international level adoption, but not every country has the same amount of population, so most likely the most populated countries will strike forward on media coverage has big companies adopt bitcoin just because of their user base.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: July 14, 2015, 10:39:36 PM
Only if the Greece people would ask their government to buy 1 billion euro in bitcoin from their bail out money they would have a great future has a potential bitcoin economy.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: July 14, 2015, 10:28:28 PM
Bitcoin is so dead right now that backpage.com is moving to use bitcoin just beacuse is dead, on the real note backpage has a monthly revenue of almost 3 million usd in revenue will this bring a complete new wave of adoption of its users?
76  Economy / Economics / Re: Will a bank being hacked boost adoption of bitcoin? on: July 14, 2015, 10:25:02 PM
if this happens world wide it would be more of the panic and drama that might just get too violent just because people would want to cash out their accounts and we all know the banks never have the real amount of money they use to lend or move around.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is at a turning point, evolving much more quickly than some observers re on: July 14, 2015, 10:03:20 PM
to see that 1,000 usd Most likely if one of worlds billionaires would like to put some of their richness on bitcoin it could strike a panic buy pump if it does happen at some point and they are public about it.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9 million USD per month is looking for ways to jump into Bitcoin on: July 14, 2015, 09:50:45 PM
A very strange thing will come from this.  The largest group of most proficient bitcoin users - will be hookers.  I thought nerds would always rule.  Strange bedfellows.  (pun intended)

Most likely pimps and escort agencies that use backpage to promo their business, it makes me wonder how much of the revenue in bitcoin percentage backpage will be keeping.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It documentary is out! on: July 14, 2015, 09:44:13 PM

80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It documentary is out! on: July 14, 2015, 08:56:50 PM
Really, 6 bucks is fair. I don't come down where you work and ask for free big macs why should you get free movies?

Frankly I'm surprised the producers aren't using ascribe.io to distribute it. I guess at this point, as long as people see the movie it's all good. I'll watch this later tonight and tell y'all what I think

I know right, you could always pay 9 usd and download it and share it with your friends, since vimeo doesnt take bitcoin you could buy it here https://www.theprotocol.tv/bitcoin-the-end-of-money-as-we-know-it/
