One small difference between CoinsPool and Optiminer pool: CoinsPool sends coins after 360 confirmations while Optiminer sends you coins right away and they get confirmations while in your wallet. Also CoinsPool send you minimum of 20 coins. With optiminer, miners get percentage (based on their hash rate) of the previous block as soon as new one is mined. It more transparent comparing to CoinsPool. You can get 2 or 50 coins based on how much hash rate you used for that coin. I like it. |

Yes, I am trying to decipher that too. I started mining using just one computer and it shows 400h/s on computer but only 35 h/s on optiminer. Unless his table shows 10 times less than what h/s really is, I am missing something here. if Paddy321 is running 650h/s for 1 hour, optiminer should show close to it. Average s hould be around that speed after 3 minutes, not just after 1 hour. Reduce the shares that are kept for PPLNS. I used the same settings for the ROI pool as for my HODl pool which gets 10-20k H/s. That was probably not ideal for the start  Now the averaging interval is about 1 hour. I started using hodlminer_AVX2_AES_win64 miner and I am getting normal rate on my computer of around 500 h/s and it does how 350 h/s so far on the page. I hope it will climb up soon to show as close as possible to that number. We're getting there. Thanks for opening a pool for us. |

the estimation on website should be wrong. because I have seen someone getting >50000 ROI daily with only 50kH/s. but the total emission rate is just 86400 = 120 x 720 coins daily. If it is that easy to get a coin, it will be worthless. You are reading it wrong or you are reading it from wrong place. Yes, 50 KH/S is very high HR and usually it's Nicehash or something like Polaris CPU. It still shows 25000 coins as expected daily income but you can count on half of that. That's from my experience. Also, 50KH/s is half the HR of entire pool. Who can afford that speed? |

Pool is working fine, but something has changed or not performing well. This is what I noticed: - since 10 AM ET I am no longer getting coins in blocks of 20 (or around that) - I am getting coins every 2 hours but it varies between 55-125 coins. That's weird as I mine with 2KH/s - Everyone who is mining with 600h/s and up shows 0 coins under Balance (but I guess they got coins periodically like me) - only ROI coin pool is working steadily. All others are closed/offline and then they bounce back I think another downtime is coming soon. We were up working steady for 3 weeks now. |

This is an awesome NEWS! Finally! Thanks to everyone who helped this happen. I am confused what is the current price for ROI at Cryptohub. It can't be right. It's quite high if I read it right. I wish it's that high though. last price was about 56 sats at CoinsMarkets which is way too low. I just checked CryptoHub and the highest buy order is 40 sats but only for 37 coins and after that it is 4 sats for 12475 roi. I don't think anybody would be crazy enough to lose that much money and sell the coin for 4 sats. Might as well just give it away for free lol. The sell wall looks good with the lowest sell order at 500 sats right now! That is the part I was confused about. On top of CryptoHub page is says that last price was 0.00005 BTC or 500 Satoshi. Am I reading it wrong? Also, if I check Sell ROI, it goues for 0.00004396 and Buy ROI for 0.00004404.. More confusing.. Sell is what you list them at. Buy is what you want to pay for them. I know that but average price is 0.00004 BTC which is 400 Satoshi or $0.47 USD. That can't be!? What am I reading wrong? Can anyone help me understand how to use CPU Miner — Affinity Setting Tool ( https://phempshall.github.io/cpuminer-affinity-setter/ )? I manually configured affinity but this web site said to "Launch CPUMiner with the following parameters: " --cpu-affinity 15 --cpu-priority 4 ". That's what confusing me. If I mine in the pool I use: hodlminer.exe -t 10 -q -a hodl -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinspool.cu.cc:3042 -u myaddress -p x Do I use affinity parameters in this command? what did this tool use for ,any profit when mining? Configuring affinity helps with H/s and better CPU utilization. I have it already configured manually as it was discussed before in this forum. Now I am using less CPU (saves power too) and getting higher hashrate. Setting the CPU affinity can be hit and miss on some systems. I know on my own system it is a pain to set the affinity so I my self use the windows task manager to set my affinity. The down side to this is I have to do it each time I run the miner. However I have cut my power use and increased my hash rate. Run the program with out any -t command in the bat. Then go to task manager. Click Prosses tab. Then RIGHT click the hodlminer and click go to details. Right click again and click set affinity. Then you can select the CPU threads you wish to use Following the info above my system is allways under 52% CPU use and getting more hash rate than it was befor. Some of you may think 48% saving is not much but when each cpu is using 130 watts of power and you have 4 of them (520 watts) and you drop it to 52% that drops the power use to 270.4 watts from the CPUs. Big big saving I agree 100% withy everything you said here, and in some follow-ups on this discussion. I was just hoping to use command line (at the same time I start miner) instead of, as you said by yourself " The down side to this is I have to do it each time I run the miner". And yes, it works on some, but not other computers. I was still able to cut 50% on CPU (and save on power) on half of my computers. Im happy to help cut your costs even if not on on all of your computers. Did you see any HR go up? As a matter of fact, few really good computers did see HR goes up. Not much, maybe 10%, but CPU utilization went down 50%. I think that you said it befoe, and I agree that miner probably can be improved if 50% of CPU gives 10% more HR. I wish someone can rework miner to use 100% CPU and theoretically, it would provide 50% higher HR. |

Got a question, simple one. I initially started mining HODL by middle of November but at that time it appeared to be dying currency. Fortunately, it seems that HDL might rise again, from ashes. Not sure where to find Windows wallet as I think mine is not up to date or not working (It's version 3.0.1 but no block source is available). I think I lost those coins but there were just 500 anyway. Not too much I see new block explorer is up but based on http://hodlday.com/, new Web Wallet is not planned until Q2. What do you do now, pool mining, and paper wallet only? What pool is available to mine, as optiminer is gone for good? |

Hi, your miner provides better hashrate than previous version. Core i7-4785T - ~370h\s instead of ~300h\s Xeon E5-2620v4 (dual cpu) - ~990h\s instead of 830 h\s Core i5-8250U - ~466h\s instead of 371 h\s Xeon E5-2430 (dual cpu) - Cant run, instead of 600 h\s Core i7-3540M - Cant run, instead of 143 h\s Looks like your miner cant work properly on my 2 last machines cause they CPUs are old and dont support AVX2. Anyway thank you very much for your work! P.S. Could you please disable these annoying messages "Time for GenRandomGarbage..." ? Are there any existing way to do it? Ghobson, you did a great job on compiling Windows version of hodl miner. I am getting 20% more hash rate, but it would be great if those "Time for GenRandomGarbage messages are not showing up. Is that possible? |
