61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Drones to Deliver Bitcoins on: July 28, 2014, 09:40:36 AM
Using something like a drone would work I guess to deliver bit coins however looking at the problems from using such a method as well I feel the way bit coins are being delivered now would be a lot better way than drone delivery. With so many things being shot down from the skies I am sure after a certain amount of time there would be ways to shoot down drones carrying bit coins leaving those who needed the delivery empty handed and others gaining.
62  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Solo vs. Pool on: July 28, 2014, 07:02:44 AM
If I am doing the math correctly you would MAYBE find a block every 300 days or so. Im not sure about this but thats what I think it is.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No matter how much we love BTC, confirmations take way too long! on: July 28, 2014, 07:00:02 AM
Maybe what we need is a company like Visa or MC to supply a service where we deposit bitcoin and they issue the charge as fiat there wouldn't be any conformation time because the confirms would already have happened when you made the deposit.
64  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Us Army ACU and other gear on: July 28, 2014, 06:56:36 AM
These would make some nice hunting gear. Too bad these wont fit me. If you come across some xl or xxl items be sure to let me know. Deer hunting season is around the corner and I wouldn't mind getting ready early.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi will ever spend his bitcoins? on: July 27, 2014, 07:05:29 PM
I think at some point those coins will move. I can't see sitting on that much potential wealth and never moving it. I think if and when they do move it would cause a bit of a panic. If they never move then the owner is a better man then I.
66  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: July 27, 2014, 06:36:01 PM
I invested .15 for my first loan and it was paid back early. I now have about .5 invested now should have .63 when loans are paid back. There is one guy that im not sure if he will pay back but I only invested .0001 on him so im not bothered.

68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2.0 Apartheid on: July 27, 2014, 06:06:15 PM
From what I have read about bitcoin 2.0 it is a "sidechain that fixes certain thing about Bitcoin" and its backed by bitcoin. I still don't understand it. What does it fix? Confirmation times maybe? Would you mind breaking it down a bit if you know any more about it? I am thinking that maybe there isn't enough info about it to get people talking about it.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Bitcoin during an EMP / Solar Flare? on: July 27, 2014, 01:20:24 PM
I'm sure that there are some people with Faraday cages and protections from something like that here in the US. We just would need one to stay online. Also if we had an EMP strike I would think there would be bigger worries then if your bitcoin is safe.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: July 27, 2014, 01:14:38 PM
Not me. I have faith in BTC but not that much faith. Maybe if I was 18 with no responsibilities. It could all end tomorrow so I will invest what I can afford to lose. The way I see it is the money I invest is not much different then blowing a few hundred at the slots here and there so I won't miss it if its gone. I just plan to hold what little I have and who knows.
71  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Lindens Dollars Second Life for BTC on: July 27, 2014, 12:43:56 PM
There is plenty enough offered right now on virwox to do complete this at even better rates then you are offering here. So why wouldn't you go there? Just doesn't seem to add up for me.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Plea to Amazon to start getting with the program... on: July 27, 2014, 12:34:32 PM
I am so confused was this just posted to show us what you emailed to them? Or do you think Amazon comes here to get their customer feedback?
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city will be the center of crypto currency on: July 27, 2014, 12:29:30 PM
I don't think BTC will ever have a center. At least it shouldn't to keep it decentralized.  The greater the bitcoin adoption the more governments will be interested in centralization and regulation.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Silver on: July 27, 2014, 09:08:00 AM
Silver seems to be pretty stable and when I started to buy it I found that yard sales are a pretty good way to go. I bought a loupe, neodymium magnet, high precious scale and an acid kit and have done pretty well with it. I also have found decent deals at pawn shops, gun shows and local coin shops.  To sell craigslist seems to be the best way. These people that stack silver at willing to pay more then the coinshops as they don't have the overhead.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: July 27, 2014, 09:03:09 AM
I think a 1 btc investment is worth the risk. Just be prepared to HOLD and HOLD and then HOLD some more. If you can't afford to lose it then don't bother. It could pay off nicely an IMO its worth the gamble.
76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying btc online with creit or debit cards on: July 27, 2014, 08:51:39 AM
Coinbase should be good enough. They accept visa card deposits from US customers. I believe you have to be an account holder for a certain amount of time though before you have the ability to buy with a card. Buying with a bank transfer is much easier, you should have your btc in about 3 business days. US only though  Wink
As far as I know the CC is only a backup funding source to enable instant buy. The purchase will withdraw from the bank account and only use the credit card if the transaction is denied for some reason by the bank.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin fading away? on: July 27, 2014, 08:40:09 AM
I personally don't think that we will see bitcoin fall below whatever the cost it takes to mine it. For example if it costs about $500 in electric to mine 1 bitcoin then it shouldn't fall below that price. If it does fall below that price then I would say it is in a downward spiral but until then its simply market fluctuation. Linking it to gold is not the answer and the government would not allow it. Years ago the government banned private hoarding of gold and nothing is stopping them from doing it again.
78  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon lost millions to Bitcoin on: July 25, 2014, 12:33:46 PM
The title of this made me read it but after reading it I have determined that the it was a complete waste of my time. There is no proof that Bitcoin had anything to do with this and likely didn't.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 reasons why bitcoins are better than dollars! [VIDEO] on: July 25, 2014, 12:30:13 PM
Some great points made here. I think this will help people that might be interested getting some into bitcoin. I am posting this on FB and I have subscribed. Keep up the good work
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I be able to use Bitcoins at the mall in 2014??? on: July 24, 2014, 01:46:03 AM
A big store in the mall is what Bitcoin really needs though.

Agreed, If we could get a store like Macys or Sears to except bitcoin I think others would follow. However I am not sure that with the confirmation times of bitcoin that this would be a feasible option for retailers.
