61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 21, 2024, 01:16:14 PM
With the current performance of Bitcoins, should we say that the Bitcoin bull run has begun or we should expect the real bull run  after the halving as usual.
The current market state is already bringing joy, is this a sort of trap or what could have led to the current positive market performance.

I do really think, sharing experience can help one learn and avoid the shock of greediness on investment. Tell us your view on bitcoins market performance recently

Real Bull run will come after halving or not. we'll only find out after that. but I can tell you one thing for sure. we are not in the bull run yet. what we are now is called Bullish season. it could turn into a full bull run or change back to bearish or bear run.

I think the current market conditions have gone up in the last 3 months so we have to be prepared for a downturn before the halving starts, but some people also deny this and think that bitcoin will continue to rise until the end of this year, we don't know which is true, but sharing our opinions is also not a bad thing to exchange ideas.
You are right. all we can do now is make speculations, share our Ideas and listen to other's. but at the end of the day. bitcoin and rest of the crypto market will make it's own move accordingly then we'll know which speculation was accurate and which was not.
62  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is signature payment for free on: January 21, 2024, 12:55:32 PM
When I woke today I was flabbergasted concerning signature payment when I viewed participate payment payroll but I was like how did the campaign managers get the funds they pay participants of their various campaigns, and secondly how does what we write in the forum convert to money that makes the managers to deem it fit to make sure their is available funds weekly to pay their participants, I was wondering and same time became astonished where the funds is coming from or the bitcoin the mangers pays to their designated participants is from the forum or someone else I gives the funds to the management of forum to pay whosoever that is in the forum

At service board I have applied in open slot that fall to my category of rank specification for signature but when I calculated the what is being spent in all the participants in different signature campaign is huge and the payment have hierarchy, now the question is what is the source of various signatures campaign having funds to pay all their participants, I think my question have repeat itself twice in this thread.

Again can we be ask to return any funds that is being paid to us in future time, most of you who has being here for long-term have you be questioned in one way to the other for refund of payments from the designated signatures campaign you find yourself into.
I wonder how you managed to rank up to Full member rank without knowing these basic things about Forum and Signature Campaigns? I can see you've been residing mostly in the Local board during your time in the forum. but still...
Anyway. So signature campaigns are types of Advertisements Companies pay users in BTC for wearing their Banner Ads in their signature space. so whenever they make a post in forum, their ads will be seen by other readers, this way company promote their product to forum users.
You've probably seen ads in Youtube, Facebook and anywhere else. so think of it same as them.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do they managed ? on: January 21, 2024, 12:39:38 PM
I see many business companies in the world are currently accepting Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as payment. We all know that cryptocurrency is associated with high volatilities, now I have a curious mind, how do they cover up by accepting these high volatility coins?
Do they all use the gateway to exchange those for stable coins or do they hold that?
they charge according to the live market rates. for example if they are selling a product worth $100. they charge equal amount of BTC in current price.. and to save themselves from any lose of crypto volatility, they immediately convert their crypto into fiat or into a stable coin.
I don't think any businesses accepting Bitcoin payment would hold bitcoins. maybe they HOLD profits only. but not all of them.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🇨 Crypterium - Digital Cryptobank with Credit Token & Open Platform🇨 on: January 20, 2024, 10:19:16 AM

@BaddiniCRPT let me know if you need me to change anything else or update the thread. thanks
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's on your bullish wishlist on: January 19, 2024, 06:39:45 PM
Some of my coins are up already and I would not suggest to buy them now, and few that haven't pumped much yet are Hive, Ethereum, BTC, Arbitrum, Atom and Pyth.

5: Linea
These are my current favorite gems. I think they have potential to 5x to 20x.
This is not a financial advice. invest on your own risk if you want to.

How do you suggest $LINEA when there is no token out?

That is why it is on my wishlist because I want to get in as early as possible.. their token is not out now. but it'll launch soon. and I am very bullish about that. and not just the token. their overall project looks very solid. Have a look at that and let me know what do you think?

I think I'll consider adding $manta to my portfolio, thanks
Good decision mate. you might want to do that ASAP because I think there will be a big price increase in Manta price..  but what made you consider adding $Manta to your portfolio?
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's on your bullish wishlist on: January 16, 2024, 02:18:16 PM
I need at least 5 altcoins that I can invest in them, having great potential for a bull run.

Please kindly recommend if you know any with huge potential of pumping.
The 5 Projects/Tokens on My bullish List are:
1: Manta (Binance doing a Launchpool of it. and will list it after that., if you can accumulate some you can earn good profit)
2: XAI
3: Animalia $ANIM
4: Myria
and
5: Linea
These are my current favorite gems. I think they have potential to 5x to 20x.
This is not a financial advice. invest on your own risk if you want to.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to promote information about projects? on: January 16, 2024, 01:31:53 PM
Hi everyone, I'm asking people with experience in running crypto projects. Where should I publish information about my project to be seen by interested people?
Wherever you think related people are. Yes if you want your project to be seen by interested people then first you need to figure out which platform has any people who might be interested in it. if it is a Crypto related project you can post it in crypto related groups, forums etc.

For example, if I just make posts on Twitter, they will be seen by a couple of people at most and the probability of a response is very low. The situation is the same in other social networks.
Social media is great for marketing something. but it doesn't happen overnight. you need to be consistent with social media. you need to post about your project every day with related hashtags. follow related people in the same category. engage with others. social media is hard to manage but it can be very effective if done right.

You might consider hiring a digital marketing manager, who knows all these things and help you promote your project.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is GRIN still a thing? on: January 16, 2024, 01:06:19 PM
It's been quite a long time since the first cryptocurrency with the "Mimblewimble" privacy technique was released. My first days of using GRIN were quite troublesome due to its added complexity. But it's a great coin to use for privacy-oriented transactions once you get the hang of it. Somehow, GRIN became a forgotten cryptocurrency as all of the attention shifted back to Monero. Was this a result of poor marketing/promotion efforts? Or a lack of user experience?
Heard about this for the first time from this post. Found it after looking into coinmarketcap.  it indeed looks very good. I think it is very underrated . as you said maybe it is lack of marketing because I think it could've a bigger community if it was properly marketed.

I'm wondering if this coin still has a future, especially when privacy on crypto has been frowned upon by mainstream governments. Do you think it can be good long-term investment like Monero? Or is it a complete bust? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
Right now nothing is certain about Privacy Coins. the big coins are in trouble getting delisted by big exchanges. so can't say how would this one do in such environment.. maybe if it was famous like monero and other privacy coins it would've been hit by govt too.
I would not long this coin for now.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: January 16, 2024, 12:41:12 PM
$1.5M is possible if the dollar devalues fast.

Otherwise a range for maybe 2040.
The dollar could devalue but not that fast. and even if Dollar devalues I don't think Bitcoin would reach there by 2040. It sounds to good to be true for me.

I recently read a topic that someone predicted the price of Bitcoin to be 1 million, now the bid has already been outbid by 1.5 million))) where did they get such forecasts?!?  These are all assumptions that are not substantiated by anything specific, or they simply want to attract attention to themselves with such news, I no longer have any guesses why they are predicting such cosmic amounts... although there are still 6 years until 2030, maybe I’m wrong.
they don't get these forecast from anywhere. they simply assume these. no actual bitcoin analyst would make such a big prediction for that long time. and they are just doing that for getting peoples attention. and possible earn profit from the bitcoins they buy before giving such statements.
They think they are influencer and now they are part of bitcoin so they have all the rights to predict about bitcoins future.
70  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 15, 2024, 01:29:28 PM
Gambling can change the attitude of someone who tends to become a stubborn person, and indeed this can of course have an impact on their relationships, whether it be family, partner or friendship relationships, where they will experience the bad effects of gambling, which can make them change as well.

Can gambling actually change someone who is bad mannered for good instead of getting them more complicated in their wrong doings, same way we can see gambling as a means of getting ourselves attached to something that could get us being occupied than having much time on unnecessary things, we should also be mindful of not allowing irresponsible gambling to affect our personal relationships.
I don't think gambling can change anyone's bad manners or behavior.. Gambling is an addicting activity. doing it within a reasonable time lime is fine. but if someone gets addicted to it. I might worsen his manners even more like every other habit out there, so don't take gambling as a therapy  Wink

because even though some of majority may take gambling to be an entirely bad and negative impact creation,
the reason why Gambling is considered bad by majority of people is because of all the risks and chances of loosing money involved in it. which I think are true. but in actually gambling is only bad if it is done too much. excessive of everything is bad for us. not just gambling.

71  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN][bptrades] Escrow Services for Secure Trading - Buy & Sell Safely - 0 Fees on: January 15, 2024, 12:54:26 PM
A few Days ago I used BpTrades to buy some $UP tokens for the staking and Joining TonTogether Bounty program. I didn't want to use any CEX so I used BpTrades instead. I didn't use their Built-in Escrow because the seller agreed to send the tokens directly. but I must say it was a smooth trade thanks to Irfan bro and Albon. very convenient for people who want to avoid signinup into multiple exchanges.

Thanks a lot guys.
72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 15, 2024, 12:14:44 PM
As a newbie which wallet i can use and will that wallet support bitcoin and other altcoins? I know some wallet names like Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, MyEtherWallet but as a newbie which wallet can I use to keep my assets safe. I have heard a lot of people using trust wallets. How trust wallet is reliable for holding bitcoins and other altcoins? How likely is it to be hacked?
Trust wallet is a Good wallet. it supports Bitcoin and almost every major Altcoins as well as EVMs which means you can add custom tokens too.  so it is good enough for your needs. now speaking of wallet's security then that is totally up to you.
It depends on how you handle your Keys and also what do you do with that wallet. Keep These things in your mind:
1: Don't Store your Seed Phrase and Private Keys Online or/and On a Digital Device that has Access to the Internet (Mobile or laptop) Write them down in your Diary or somewhere offline.
2: Don't use random Dapps and Dexs, and don't connect your wallet with any web3 websites especially if you don't know about them. a lot of dapps are scams and will drain wallets if connected and given authorizations.

if you want to be more secure and have a lot of funds in crypto then you should go for an hardware wallet.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your doing for now? on: January 15, 2024, 12:01:31 PM
Start of January is like blessing for crypto market. Crypto market start pumping from last few months but in January, it speeds up. Even Good news like Bitcoin ETFs get approved a days ago. But suddenly market gets unpredictable. I mean it went to correction mode, and then get recovered. then dump again And now trying to pump. Situation is confusing. So what are you doing now?

1 Buy Altcoins from Dip
2 Selling altcoins, to buy more cheap during halving
3 Doing DCA Only
4 just watching the market like me
From your options. I am only doing the 4th one for now. as well as trying to find way to earn some altcoins and tokens for free because right now that is the most suitable thing I think in the current market condition. this way I'll also save some funds for accumulating Bitcoins when time comes.. Buying Altcoins from Dip is very risky. what if it keeps dipping? only take that risk if you are willing and afford to lose. but I think it  is better to wait til Bitcoin halving before making any kind of investment decision.. because then it'll be easier to know what direction will crypto market take.

~snip~
What are Your thoughts about his financial advice guys? I like the first and 2nd which I've been doing by myself too.

It is completely stupid that you post such basic advice on a forum, and it is even more stupid that the same advice comes from someone who is supposed to be intelligent, but actually turns out to be a classic attention-seeking troll.

Quote
Save. Get to the point where you have enough to cover multiple years of expenses. Financial safety is freedom.

Who does this advice apply to? Maybe people who work 8 hours a day, 6 days a week and at the end of the month get a salary that is not enough to cover the expenses of 20 days of life? Vitalik, like all those shitcoin creators, has definitely accumulated a lot of money and can enjoy his financial freedom - which is very easy if you have an altcoin that is premined and has unlimited max supply.
Everyone has their own opinions but I don't consider Ethereum a shit coin. and it is not because Ethereum is a valuable coin next to Bitcoin but because it has some excellent utilities that are very useful for people within the cryptocurrency sector,
about his financial advice, I am not sure if he was serious or being sarcastic about Bill Gates and Warren buffet.

77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as P2P currency vs Bitcoin as an asset on: January 13, 2024, 01:34:58 PM

Overtime multiple debates have been raised concerning Bitcoin losing its adoption as a P2P currency. A lot users who transact with little amounts of Bitcoins during intervals seem to be in support of loss in Bitcoin P2P adoption. However some other users especially business men who transact non stop with Bitcoin on a larger scale, seem to have the opinion that the adoption rate is quite ok. Of course no one is happy when transacting with Bitcoin during periods of high conjestions as fees can be sometimes annoying.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin has maintained a nice reputation for so long it has now become a wise choice for investment, hence the term hodling. Hodling has also become a topic of interest for Bitcoiners due to its ease and nice returns as time goes on. Due to this Bitcoin now seems more like a nice investment than a P2P currency to a large variety of hodlers.

This is not to say that a lot of person do not  engage equally in both P2P transactions and Hodling. But to see what a majority of Bitcoiners view Bitcoin as. I added a poll to this post so I recommend you venture casting a vote on what aspect you use Bitcoin the most.

Don't forget to keep your keys safe
For me personally. after arriving of Stablecoins, USDT and other Bitcoin became mostly just an asset, I always prefer to use Stablecoins for p2p purposes (only when withdrawing to fiat). Bitcoin is still my primary payment source when comes to getting paid for my work and other earning sources, as well as any altcoin I earn will be converted into bitcoin if I want to HODL them.
but that doesn't mean Bitcoin in general is not good for p2p. a lot of people still use Bitcoin for p2p.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: January 13, 2024, 12:57:56 PM
I hope we see less of those idiotic statements. Bitcoin always performed best when people claimed that it will be dead soon. As soon as "famous" people started to talk about the greatness of bitcoin, the trouble began.
I don't think these idiotic statements will stop coming. as long as there are people who listen and believe these self-proclaimed Bitcoin experts who think they are more loyal to Bitcoin than anyone, while in actually they are just after the money.
And bitcoin will always do good, no matter if anyone call it a scam or predict about its price reaching $1.5 millions. there are minor turbulence, but I didn't see any big troubles here.

Cathy Wood is a contro-indicator for me, so I don't think BTC will reach $1.5 million by 2030. Her Ark fund is a disaster. I don't understand why she is so hyped just because the fund did well during the low interest rate phase and the whole tech rally. But it has been underperforming massively for over 2 years now and has missed some trends (e.g. AI).
Maybe since their ETF applications and then approval. she think she have every right to say anything about Bitcoin.  Grin Grin
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: January 12, 2024, 05:11:25 PM
$1.5 Million dollar is very big amount. but there is a long time for 2030. anything can happen by then. Bitcoin has a very limited supply, and Demand increasing day by day as Adoption increasing,
Bitcoin ETF Recently passed, and halving coming this year. there will be many other major events like this in these 8 years. so I think it is not impossible for bitcoin to reach $1.5m .
Also these ETF persons are expecting a lot of Cash Inflows after approval of ETFs. I read at another places that $20 billion expected to inflow in Bitcoin in 5 years after ETF approval. Now Lets see how it will go.
I agree that 8 years is a lot of time. and Bitcoin's adoption and demand is increasing at higher scale. but Think about this, Bitcoin price is now $45K+. Its all-time high was around $67K 68K, if Bitcoin price only reached $45k or say $68k in 15 years. do you think it'll go to $1.5 Million in just 6 years? sound too good to be true isn't it? I don't think bitcoin can reach that much even with all those adoptions going on.. it will eventually go there but not by 2030.

Does anyone pay attention to these predictions? I think only newbies are impressed by them. No one knows what the price of Bitcoin will be in 2030, although those of us who are into this believe that it is extremely likely to be much higher than it is now. So the best thing to do is to forget about the noise and keep buying and holding.
You are right, an I wonder what do these So-called Bitcoin experts want to achieve by impressing newbies.  Wink Wink
