We did not remove anything, seems like temporary bug with price feed, will fix it asap.

Yes, I understand during the very strong trend robot could be less profitable than just simple holding, but during big collapse it will save your account much more effective too rather than diving down with "buy and hold". And prices will not always grow on a strong trend just like now, the correction will come sooner or later.

our public acc is still displayed on site:

How do we explain he fact that you "lost" 2750 USD by using this product, and you are still endorsing it and declaring satisfaction? We are having some problems sharing your sentiment. Maybe I there is an error in the information I just presented...

Hi there. The talks about this hypothetical "loss" is pretty often. Let me explain further.

The point is, you must understand that even if the robot may seem less effective than a simple price increase, as soon as prices stall and fluctuate (as they are certain to do), then you will lose much more than you would with our robot. You might get less profits with our robot than by riding on strong intermediate price rises but atleast you will not blow your accounts or fall into 70% drawdowns with the robot if the prices were to go south. You are only look at one side of this trading story, not thinking about what will happen on the other hand. I hope this is clearer to you now.

As a developer, you would know that if you are automatically trading on someone's trading account, that your software would have access to their account password and login name.

Of course it is not true.  Please kindly learn more about the API before drawing false conclusions

The robot is trading via API keys and have no access to your login or passwords.

You can read more about API here https://btc-e.com/api/documentation

Until the secret built in code kicks in and takes everyone's money.

take it easy guys, you watch too much hacker movies.  Using API keys no robot can "take anyones money". All it can do is trade.

I would never trust this with my BTC.

You are not sending us any btc. The robot securely trades via API keys on btc-e.com trading account

EDIT: I tried deleting the old API and creating a new one and put it on the BTCrobot account, It has now started working again (trying this hasn't worked in the past), at least the amounts are correct for now. Looks like it has resumed trading, but has not made one yet.

Thank you tbly13!

Is anyone coming to the next Bitcoin conferences ?

your balance on Nov 9 would have be around

We don't play "would have" or "could have games". This game is dangerous, you are playing it expecting the price always to grow. but if it was not true, I could say the same , "if you did not trade with robot, your loss would have been XXX" etc.

It's doing great. Drawdowns are very small and robot trades them out to minimize price drops

Sorry for bumping, but would you happen to know if this comes with a demo version?

Bitcoin trading does not have demo trading accounts.  If you are asking about our software, it comes with 60 day money back guarantee.

Our update was 2 weeks ago where we improved the performance and added bitstamp filters!!

Does your robot work with sites other than BTC-e?

The trading is done by API keys via BTC-e.com marketplace where you trade.
However also robot monitors mtgox and bitstamp as price filters!

Starting to think this may just be the case unfortunately :/
*And the real crux of it is that I'm basically talking about a section of code that at most should take 35 minutes to write...assuming you watch yourself a whole episode of big bang theory first.

Thank you for your opinion. If it was that easy we could do it long ago. Anyways, if you are using fresh account there should not be any problem.

Regarding this API limitation? Are you saying that btc-e api doesn't give your bot the ability to check current BTC/USD balances in realtime?

I appreciate your concenrn.

We do check balances obviously but there is no way to see if balance was increased by manual operation, robot trading or manual extra deposits. We recommend that you start fresh BTC-e acc and deposit just once before trading.

Hey fellas...It appears as though the BitStamp API interface with BitStamp is possibly offline since 0:47? I seriously doubt there has been 0 activity either way going on there since that time.

The robot trades on Btc-e.com not on BitStampt. BitStamp is used as external additional filter. Even if BitStamp is offline, the robot is operational.

question. A trading bot lives and dies by trading signals, regardless if it's BTC or any stock. What technical  indicators do you use?  I personally like Bolinger Bands mixed with support and resistance points

The robot is using hedging techniques, it analyzes not only the price of btc-e but also the price in other 2 major marketplaces: Mtgox and Bitstamp to take the decisions.

Quote
1.) The bot doesn't seem to handle new deposits very well or at least was designed to ignore them until the bot is shutdown and restarted. So if I decide to sell some XPM for BTC the bot doesn't seem to take this overall net BTC increase into account with regards to its trading strategies.

The balance check call is done during the next trade after the deposit is made
That's api limitation, not a problem.
The net value of portfolio is counted in USD at all times (sum of btc+usd)

Quote
2.) Thus far all I have seen the bot do is sell whatever small portions of BTC I direct at it for a seeming loss. (Note: this would have been pretty easy to do myself and far cheaper I might add, but I do understand that BTC has basically just been on the rise so I'll be patient)
3.) The two buys that the bot did perform made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever but could be as a result of my exchanging other coins for BTC and restarting the bot perhaps?

The robot is a long term solution and does not require checking and baby sitting. Please set it on aggressive and let it work. No need to doublecheck it daily. The goal is to grow your portfolio over the long period of time.

here is one of our clients. aggressive settings. As you can see it is much more effective than "buy and hold" strategy because the drawdowns when the price goes down are significantly lower than price drops. so the robot not only good at making profit but also at keeping it when price of BTC drops!

So if I buy this can I make a profit being from the usa?
Because we can only buy from 2 exchanges Mt.Gox and Coinbase and Coinbase is always cheaper.

Yes, you can trade from USA too. BTC-e.com allows direct bank wire from members even from USA. no need for coinbase.
