61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]⚡⚡🔐[PRiVCY]🔐⚡⚡[11th Airdrop - Starts 18th August]✅[PoW/POS]✅ on: August 15, 2018, 02:52:43 AM
With the bloodbath going on all through the crypto space, it's nice to see us at a comparatively healthy price point. We're actually up over not just the last 24 hours, but over the last week. With such a solid team, and great community anything is possible, as evidenced by our standing. If you're still sitting on the sidelines considering getting involved you may want to take the plunge and invest, and or join our airdrop. Opportunities like this don't come up every day, or even every year. If you aren't sure yet, and you still need some convincing, join our Discord, and see what our community is really like. It's honestly one of the nicest, most active groups of people you can hold a conversation with in the whole crypto scene as far as I'm concerned, and I'm truly proud to be a part of it.

I will release more juice to the opensource miner later. Who want's to pay 1% to the GPL violators when they can mine faster for free with the sp-mod?

New X16R spmod-git has been released. Opensource, free and with no fee. More algos will be added later.

https://cryptomining-blog.com/10049-new-even-faster-raven-x16r-x16s-spmod-git-6-fork-of-ccminer-available/
Does is have an API monitoring interface? I use Awesome Miner to give you an idea of what type of usage I'm looking for. I use Nevermind miner at the moment, but I'm always willing to try something new if it might be faster or have lower or no fees. Thank you for your work!

Another week has begun and another airdrop approaches us. Don't forget to retweet and like all the Twitter posts this week, AD11 is going to be the mother of all airdrops so far, so you don't want to miss it especially over something easy that you overlooked. Check out all the pinned posts on Discord, cross your t's and dot your i's, hold on tight and get ready for blastoff!
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 07, 2018, 03:43:23 PM
I use Nevermore, and I get the highest hashrates for my 1080ti's (Asus Strix Oc models) Only thing that's off is the benchmarks in Awesome miner are way higher then they should be, so I have to manually change them once it's mining. Other then that, it works great, no complaints here. I think it's benchmarking with all my cards, but I have it set to only use one, so you may not have the same problem if you use all cards for benchmarking.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is moving up on: August 02, 2018, 02:22:09 PM
I think this part of the summer lots of people want to get out there and do something fun before fall comes, so they tend to spend less time staring at buy and sell orders. They may have some set out there, but they don't check if they've been filled as often, so it makes things a little drawn out in slow motion. Just something I've observed.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: sgminer: Baikal Giant X10 / N / B - Open Source - Confirmed OC Giant B! on: July 31, 2018, 04:09:36 PM
Anyone know where I could source a fan for a Baikal A900? Can't find the same one anywhere. I don't mind if I have to splice wires with the end of the plug for the old fan. I'm a simple man.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: July 31, 2018, 04:00:08 PM
Profits look to be extremely low right now.  Not profitable at all with the current cards.  Sucks.
Now it`s normal. 1080ti is a really powerful GPU but if you count with price/profitability - 1060(3) much better then 1080ti. If you have enough free space of course.

I guess it would be a faster ROI because of the price of 1060 TI's but like you said, you'd need a hell of a lot of room to set up 24 1060's and that power draw would be a beast.

It's not only that, you must also calculate expense that rise with additional cables, risers, PSUs, mbo and all stuff you need if you cannot hookup all cards to one rig, and you usually cannot.
ROI cannot be calculated just from GPU perspective because it gives you false results.

Yeah, but the other parts of the system have uses beyond mining. After your done mining 16gb of ram is still 16gb of ram. Thats why I got into GPU mining to begin with, to protect my investment. Can't lose money the same way you can with ASIC's. I could build 3-4 high end systems and sell them if I decided I was out.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon releases 3 kinds of A10 ETH Miner 365MH/s 432MH/s 485MH/s on: July 27, 2018, 04:41:38 AM
Jeez, why are Innosilicon always 3-4X the price? I could get behind 10-20% more based on them being great quality, but I had an A4 and it was good, but I wouldn't call the quality great. The hashrate would drop down to 1/3 what it should be then sometimes jump up to 4x what it was supposed to be rated for. On average it would come out to what it was supposed to, but it was constantly changing hashrate and fan speed, drastically. Also the power usage. Sometimes it would draw so much it would restart the power supply (1200w EVGA platinum) or flip the breaker. It did hash away for a long time, so I can't complain too much don't get me wrong, but it doesn't make me want to spend 3-4X the price.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: July 27, 2018, 04:14:18 AM
Does anybody know a US based source to a fan compatible for an A900? I've been looking everywhere. I don't mind if I have to splice the wire from the old fan (two wire with 4 pin male coupler end) I've been looking everywhere, but I'm not finding it. I emailed Baikal, and they responded 8 days later that they had them but I should look for it locally because the shipping would cost much more then the shipping, but that they could sell me one. I don't want to wait another 8-16 days to go back and forth with them, especially if it's gonna cost 2-3X the price. Thanks for any assistance you might have.

Does anybody know where I could order a fan for a Baikal A900? (I'm in the US) I have a unit that has three broken fan blades. I don't care if I have to cut wires and splice with the wires from the old fan, just want to find a replacement that will work. Please and thank you.

So is X13 one of the new available algorithms? That's the only one I'm interested in. I tried reading back 3 or 4 pages, but I'm not seeing if it's included. Thanks for your hard work, this looks awesome! I love the interface of the Baikal miners. They work great as a compliment to Awesome miner. (Which I use) Again, thank you!

BAIKAL A2000 include X13 algorithm  Wink
Eh. Yeah, I already have that one and the A900's. X10's mining X13 would be awesome though if someone were to crack that egg, I'd be all over that. Well, I guess the positive side to this is that there are no new X13 miners making the ones still out there more valuable. If someone does figure out how to use X10s for mining X13 algo I definitely want to stay abreast of that situation though, which is why I asked. It would seem doable since the X10 does a few algos in common with the Giant+ etc. I'll be watching here with interest.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: July 19, 2018, 02:42:16 PM
Hi Patrike. Looks like your advice helped with my issue with AM forgetting the locations of my custom miners. The file location was marked as read only in windows. I changed it but it kept changing back. I had to use a tutorial I googled to get the changes to stick, apparently some windows update screwed up windows for everyone it installed for. I always disable updates, but I do let it run once on a new install, and I guess that's what happened. Anyways, I had a good idea, not sure, but it might be an easy one. So about the field that you created in online services that keeps track of pool performance, is it possible for it to show numbers above 100%? That could make it more accurate. Thanks for all your help, and for creating a superb program!
Hello Patrike. So, unfortunately my problem returned. Everything was fine for like 10 days, and then I updated AM, and immediately after AM restarted it forgot all my changes again. So as far as what I did before with windows, the tutorial I read online told me I had to regain ownership of the folders (the whole drive as a matter of fact) then remove the checkbox in file explorer for read only. The thing that is really annoying is that the box still shows up as checked no matter what, (even if the drive is no longer read only) and other Windows users have confirmed this, but I am now able to add or delete files after following the tutorial. I believe the last time AM forgot my settings was right after another AM software update. If AM is able to update it's software why would it be unable to update the config file? Another interesting side note is that AM is remembering some things I've changed. For instance I changed a couple of my wallet addresses and those haven't reverted back when AM forgets the other items. I'm a bit frustrated at this point, every time it happens, at this point I basically have a config file in my head. (Ok, here we go again, point to excavator, point to nevermore, point to ccminer, point to claymore cryptonight miner, delete Baikal cube miner, update ip address of Baikal A900) Any other ideas you have will be greatly appreciated, I just want to keep the miner running. Thanks.
It sounds like the Windows system have some strange behaviors here. Are you running any security software that causes these issues?

Awesome Miner is not using the same folder for upgrades as for the configuration file. If the user roaming folder where the configuration file is located is set to read-only, Awesome Miner will run into issues saving the configuration.

If you have a specific time where you think Awesome Miner did something wrong, please send me the log file by mail and indicate the time of the issue.
All I did was install Windows, and Mozilla Firefox, let it update initially, installed Nvidia drivers, then disable windows defender, installed my  custom mining software,(only a few) installed Ethlargement pill, updated AM config file, killed Cortana, and started mining. Then after my problem, I followed a tutorial to regain ownership of my folders (user folder), and changed folders from read only to full control, I don't install anything extra whatsoever, I don't surf the internet, I only open a couple yiimp pool stat pages. Before I install the new update I'm going to shoot a video this time closing the program, restarting it, then installing the update, checking the log file etc. If theres anything else you can think of for me to try to capture, I'll include it. Thanks again Patrike.

It should only take you about 30 minutes to rebuild a Windows 10 rig on an SSD.

Here's the very quick steps needed to get a Windows rig setup to run headless...

1. Install Windows (depending on the version of Windows you may not even have to activate!)  Do not do any Windows Updates
2. Install missing drivers for mobo and video card
3. Turn off Windows Update service
4. Enable auto login
5. Disable sleep mode in power control panel
6. Enable RDP
7. Set Windows Defender to ignore the C:\ProgramData\AwesomeMinerService & C:\Users\yourusername\Appdata\Local\AwesomeMinerService & C:\Users\yourusername\Appdata\Roaming\AwesomeMinerService

That's all you have to do.  From that point on disconnect the monitor keyboard and mouse and RDP into the rig from the comfort of your couch.

I just do one more step.  I install  the Awesome Miner agent and then I rarely even have to RDP into the rig.
Yeah, I'm leaning twords reinstalling windows. I think your estimate is a bit optimistic on only being down for 30 minutes, but at this point, something has to be done. This is my main control unit, that's why I really was trying to avoid reinstallation. (especially when I strongly suspect the problem will return) If I'm down for 2 hours, then I have 10 Asics not mining the most profitable coin for 2 hours, and the main rig totally down which is especially painful when we're finally getting better returns. I think I'm going to see if I can block the windows update site from my router, which will save me the step of disabling the windows updates. Instead I'll just block the site externally, which will help with all my rigs, eliminating a step for every windows setup on the network. First I have one thing I had thought of that might help me avoid reinstalling this time, and then if it happens again: Is there a way to configure Awesome Miner to point to a custom location containing the configuration file? If I could do that I could point it to a usb thumb drive, which wouldn't be taken over and marked "read only" by windows. This is the only problem I'm having with this system. If it didn't forget changes to the AM config, everything else is perfect. Just an idea. Pretty much resigned to the fact I'll be reinstalling Windows this weekend if that isn't a possibility. Thank you for considering my problem.

So the maximum for AMD cards is 12? Can 12 be used + the integrated video also? That would be cool, then I'd just have to worry about hunting for the elusive p100-106's.

The P106's arent elusive. They are always on ebay just ridiculously priced just like all P series cards.
I know, I'm just cheap, and they're rare enough that deals on them aren't too common, (especially if your somewhat ocd like me and would prefer not to mix brands) and also there are no warranties. Won't have to worry about it for a minute so maybe they'll come down a little more, and there could be more available then also. Kills me to pay more for one of these then a Rx480, but eh.
