61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Finished shopping-please rate my porfolio on: February 04, 2018, 12:25:21 AM
Your portfolio is too diverse for me honestly. I would have added ETH and BTC and made them a huge percentage of your portfolio. You have some good low cap coins like PoE but I would get rid of stellar and litecoin.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Understanding corrections and why not to panic. on: February 02, 2018, 03:37:48 AM
Thanks OP for making the graph. I started investing in crypto during the July 2017 drop from $3k down to $1600. After looking at your graph and seeing the corrections visually we are definitely just going through another cycle. Nothing going up from $5k to $20k so quickly from a span of 1 month will go up forever and I guess here we are.... I just wish I made the smarter decision and sold when I knew it was too good to be true. The FOMO was so real near the end of DEC leading into the new year. I'll HODL because the technology itself is at least worth $4 trillion Wink
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeepOnion price predictions 2018 on: January 30, 2018, 04:48:34 AM
Its January 29th, 2018 and the price of DeepOnion is currently sitting around $7.00. The original OP price prediction of around $25-$50 looks attainable by the end of March right now. Let me adjust the OP's prediction to now around at least $80.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia is a Black Hole on: January 29, 2018, 10:10:48 PM
I agree. Cryptopia still hasn't gotten back with me even after waiting a whole month. I made withdrawal from their exchange to my MEW and THEY sent the wrong gas amount and the TX failed. I am still waiting and if it was a small amount I would let it go but it wasnt. What makes it even worse was that I sent a small amount first to make sure it was successful but low and behold when it actually counted it failed.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My portfolio, 1 year HODL, please review, criticize and suggest on: January 29, 2018, 04:14:22 AM
    Hello guys,

my plan is to buy a house on January 2019 and this is my HOLD portfolio, if you have ideas and suggestions please just tell me.

0.5 Bitcoin
10 ETH
25 LTC
30 NEO
8'500 Ripple
10'200 Stellar Lumens
5'000 Cardano
25'000 Tron
5 Monero
1'000 IOTA
50'000 SiaCoin
100 OmiseGO
100 Waves
250 Eidoo
10'000 Envion ICO[/li][/list]

Your portfolio needs no criticizing at all. You definitely have thought this through and looks like you already have enough for a really good down payment on a home. By the end of 2018, you will probably have more than enough to buy a home. You have high marketcaps, new platforms, payment system and new ventures --- great portfolio.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: January 29, 2018, 12:24:26 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm feeling my portfolio is too diversified and I've put too much in the big ones.
Pretty fresh to the cryptoscene, started november. What do you think?

32% Ltc
26% Eth
20% Btc
8% Xrb
5% Eos
5% Trx
2% Ven
1% Iota
1% Eltcoin
<1% Link

Diversification is perfectly fine. People who go all in on a coin are either looking for a quick gain or just recklessly investing and can lose it all. Your picks are good and looks like you have a good spread on your investment. Making money over the long run is way better.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 5 crypto currencies to invest in 2018 on: January 27, 2018, 05:53:41 PM

Established coins
 ETH
 XMR

Coins with great potential
 WAVES
 NEO

Privacy coins
 deeponion
 xspect

Then a load of <$1 coins am hoping will go x10 / x100 this year, but have given 6 instead of 5 so :-)

I really like your picks. You have a good hedge by using high marketcap coins to low market cap coins. My portfolio is a bit similar but if I had to choose it would be the following:

High MarketCap:
Ethereum

Mid MarketCap:
Sys

Low MarketCap:
PRL
ELIX
ONION
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 Trillion on: January 25, 2018, 09:35:56 PM
We all know Bitcoin will be the first cryptocurrency to hit 1 trillion. When I talk to my family the only thing that they know about cryptocurrency is Bitcoin... If you ask them what Ether and XRP is they look dumbfounded and give you a clueless look. So yes to the average joe definitely BTC will be the first to hit 1 trillion but not by 2018. It will probably be by 2020 if anything.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spectrecoin (XSPEC) price prediction on: January 24, 2018, 11:26:15 PM
$500 is really out of reach unless Xspec is adopted as the main privacy coin. I understand that XSPEC is a highly undervalued cryptocurrency, but to make a bold statement like that is pure shilling. The project is still new, but I hope they can get a huge community behind them.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody think the crash is due to market manipulation for Bitcoin Futures? on: January 22, 2018, 09:22:29 PM
Anything is possible in crypto. Honestly, I think with the institutions now able to invest in BTC futures I don’t see why they wouldn’t take advantage of the situation. Btc is being manipulated in many ways by whales, governments and now futures. We were riding ATH just few weeks ago and now we are reverting back to lows last seen late November/early December. I really hope this is due to the lunar new year but with the recent bad news bears coming from regulatories and now India it’s hard to tell. I am a long time holder so hopefully this blows over quickly or people will lose faith in crypto pretty quick.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People, why are you so scared? on: January 22, 2018, 01:00:45 AM
I am going to be honest with you. I was one of those weak hands that sold as well. I was scared of Bitcoin falling again like it did from 2013 to 2015 almost over 70%. With the regulations of South Korea, China and now INDIA omg all the news is just stacking against cryptocurrency. I really hope crypto bounces back but who knows what 2018 will hold. For now, I'll just wait for the buying opportunity to present itself.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did I lose my Oyster PRL coins? Please Help on: January 19, 2018, 05:31:38 PM
I did not send them to the wrong address that is for certain because I sent a small amount first before I sent the rest over. I was under the impression that I didn't need to create a custom token since PRL is already in the MEW wallet and it was successful before. Most of the responses so far I have read is that the gas was insufficient but I am hoping cryptopia will get back to me ASAP on it.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin is best at 1k on: January 19, 2018, 05:17:43 PM
I have to disagree with you on that. Cryptocurrency needs to evolve and grow for it to be mainstream. We already know that blockchain technology will be the future and it is only a matter of time before it is widely adopted. Like all technology, we saw the flaws of bitcoin and other cryptos like railblocks, iota, and cardano are offering solutions. I can use the same comparison to back in the AOL, Netzero, and Netscape days of Internet 1.0. Imagine still using dial up? So yea, Bitcoin will be obsolete soon and will only be used as a store of value.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Did I lose my Oyster PRL coins? Please Help on: January 18, 2018, 06:13:50 AM
I need some assistance here. I sent OysterPearl Coins to my ERC-20 wallet but it says it failed. Is there any way this can be fixed or recovered?
Any information would be appreciative.

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Portfolio for 2018 on: January 15, 2018, 04:27:20 PM
Hey guys,

So im pretty new in cryptocurrency world and im doing my third week of reasearch.

I already watched 50+ hours of videos including Datadash, Crypto Oracle , Altcoin Buzz and much more.
Spent quite some time in bitcointalk and coinmarketcap.
So basically just learning things and watching charts.

Considering all this sudden pump in beginning of this month im just waiting things to stabilize.

So i made my portfolio in which i didn't invest yet but it will happen soon.
Im going to write it all down here so you can see and share you thoughts

Top 3 (High Cap)
      Neo
      VeChain (VEN)
      Rippe (XRP)

Top 6 (Medium Cap)
      Oyster (PRL)
      WaltonChain (WTC)
      Achain (ACT)
      VIBE
      Elixir
      Icon (ICX

I also want to invest in Top 5 low cap coins but reasearch is in progress!

I honestly don't like your Top3 high cap picks at all. I am assuming you wanted to pick high caps to hedge against your Medium Cap coins. I would suggest Ethereum only as your high cap -- forget the other two.
As for your medium cap (low cap) crypto, I myself invest 40% of my portfolio in PRL and Elixer so you at least got 2 decent altcoins. You should definitely look into privacy coins as well like DeepOnion or Xspec just to diversify your investment a tad. So in the end, I would modify it like so:

Ethereum (High Cap) - 50%

PRL + ELIX (Med-Low Cap) - 40%

DeepOnion (Low Cap Privacy) - 10%

Winner portfolio right there.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Oyster Protocol: TestNet Launching on: January 15, 2018, 06:52:39 AM
Hooray! I really hope this crypto becomes successful. I have about 50% of my portfolio in PRL and the other 50% in Elixer. Looking at PRL roadmap, they should definitely be able to hit every check mark. I think your price predictions are quite conservative and I can definitely see this coin in the top 20 soon.

It is normal for PRL to correct almost 50% because you need to look at the bigger picture. PRL started at .05 cents and look at where it is now? That is almost 50X already. HODL and we will be rich very soon. Buy all the dips!
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most promising low market cap coin? on: January 12, 2018, 05:38:49 AM
To me the most promising low market cap coins are the following:

Xspec : New website design and update integration to tor stealth addresses
PRL : Hybrid Iota and Ether Ad blocker + storage
Elix : social mobile lending platform
SocialSend : Social crypto with twitter integration
DeepOnion: Deepvalut DeepSEnd strong community

The coins listed above have the potential to 5x-20x in 2018 if they deliver on their roadmaps.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: VIBE 400 % !!!in one today 10/01 ..SELL some or HOLD or HODL ;D on: January 11, 2018, 12:36:30 AM
I would sell half of your holding to take the profit. A correction is imminent after such a huge rally up to 400%. What goes up must come down eventually. Also, the inflated price is due to the binance exchange picking it up today. But yea, play it safe and sell half. If it dips, buy back in.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My 2018 portfolio on: January 09, 2018, 06:30:06 AM
Your portfolio looks pretty darn good. You actually have your money evenly spaced out with platform coins, privacy, and other projects. But if I am being honest, you should definitely add some lending platforms like SALT, ELIXER, and LEND. Also for your privacy coin, you should be looking at DeepOnion and XSpec. These privacy coins have a better chance of you 3-5x because of their small market cap, bigger community involvement, and roadmaps ahead. Just my opinion but don't take my word for it---always do your own research of course.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum may to hit top 10? on: January 07, 2018, 08:00:07 PM
I've been an ETN hodler since.02 cents, and it has not disappointed me yet. Yes, they did drop the ball on the mining apps and the whole wallet fiasco but they are working diligently to correct every concern its community has. Their team is active and the head CEO is way more vocal on announcements than anyone else. You can check out how many subscribers and the huge community behind this coin. They just partnered up with some mobile agency and other partnerships in the pipeline. ETN was intended to provide a pathway for the average Joe to get into crypto and they might achieve that soon.
