I was just reading old post from the forum at ripple. 9 months ago the were murdering that coin and every single possible conspiracy theory was there. Now many of those subjects are here telling us to flip to rupple. If there is one thing that clears the view is time
That happens with every high potential and popular project, sadly it is part of Crypto. Bitcointalk is absolutely full of FUD, most dev's don't even check in here. It is great that with XVG, the dev is often active and responding to us. Pretty rare these days. Just check out the Scam Accusations child board and you will find every project, exchange and anything to do with Cryptocurrency in there lol. These people may as well just call Crypto a scam and be done with it  Ah yes. The good ol' Scam Accusations. While some of them are real, most of them are complete garbage. Money makes people happy. But complainers will always complain no matter up. The devs need to do something to minimize FUD in this thread. How about self-moderated forum like most successful coin's forum? FUD is killing Verge and the devs are watching helplessly. Sad very sad. Every forum here is the same. Considering XVG was trading at 0.00000048 beginning of December and is now at 0.00001095 I would say nothing is killing XVG, quite the opposite... I think it is truly up to us: the community - to defend the coin we hold - oops I meant Hodl  and support it not only here but on twitter,fb, myspace or whatever social platform you are on & every other forum that you are a part of, the more support this coin get's the better, if the community is loud and proud the developers of different applications will be interested to work toward building something that Verge can utilize, if you want privacy on your mobile than we definitely need to get developers that know droid or iphone involved to build and support applications that we want to use. Don't be scared.... Alot of members go head to head with the user's that spread false FUD. |

Weeeelll besides what I have said before, I have been onboard the ETH project before it was truly concieved/produced, I really believed in this project when it was pitched to me in pieces, now I think other's will do better as other projects have the original ETH contributors involved, and the original ETH community has been fighting behind the view of the platform as it seeks mass banking adoption, which was never really the goal of ETH..... I have been leaning toward ETC as it does not waver from the true goal that ETH set out to achieve, miraculously ETC continued after a hard fork that made ETH what it is now, ETH essentially abandoned its original roadmap and forked for special interest's while ETC remained on the path of decentralizing smart contract's, Good job ETH you have a high market cap - somewhat like Wells Fargo and JP Morgan and other banks - suck it up now, but decentralized markets are on your tail. Yes I still support ETH. Infact eth is the one that im using and I think it will be higher at 2018.

Einsteinium is taking community feedback on how much to require if masternodes were adopted. Their early thoughts were 500k to 1MM EMC2. I've encouraged them to make it accessible for smaller users, maybe with 500 to 1000 EMC2. While they're listening (they're actively reading and responding on reddit), please let them know the size of the stake that you think would be beneficial to EMC2, if you've witnessed other currencies' masternodes in action, feel free to use that knowledge as context.
Masternodes should be reserved for those that are willing to risk high for the coin's future and are willing to be active in securing the future of the network, you should withdraw your request for the lower tier and let those that are truly interested in science get involved in the project,. Too many speculators now to let everybody host a masternode when this coin has support out of California, as time goes by some people might let the rest of the network take care of itself while they pursue other ambitions and then difficulty would run high as nodes fall out making the coin unattractive to new coin user's, with the new mining algorithm on GPU being center of the coins decentralization of the coin - master nodes ought be run off altogether, the most hash power in the network ought be the master node and forget about the rest as they end up hosting the latest and greatest blockchain purely by solving the complexity of the block info. |

Thanks burnum, indeed i use them both and they complement eachother. Yet wondered if their shown data, are known to have different sources or different ways they calculate them. I is mainly my curiosity,.. I use it and think they pull from the same sources with different volume per price equations in there query, I cannot quote the post or source of either site where they pull the info from but I am pretty damn sure that when i looked into arbitrage both of these sites were spot on and had their own links to how they developed the info - the timing was different and the the volume is calculated different it seem's - I personally use coinmarketcap caus it loads quicker for me in my local and split seconds matter to me. Crypto with it's many twist's and turns have got me wondering why these coins get frozen in time?? The road map and conversation was out before the bitcoin surge of 2017 and now that I set my plan during the holiday's I cannot buy 2 of the top 10 that I want to X00 during January??

anybody knows where coinmarketcap and worldcoinindex base their prices on? The prices on these websites, which i use mostly to check prices, differe and in some case greately.
I know every exchange has a different price but where do these 2 websites base their prices on?
If you are willing to research the specific coin or token you are looking at and both of the website info's I believe I found it there, These sites have both done an outstanding job providing info from around the globe IMO. Already did at bittrex, and now waiting for Ignis to be credited. I hope Ignis will go at good rates. I will hodl them for a long time for the highest gains.
I am on Bittrex with NXT also, it is the first Ardor child chain so I have high hopes - The NXt team has been around for along time so I am going to hold no matter what - and want to look back at the Ardor chain launch next July with a big smile, I will personally be looking for lenders to take my IGNIS as collateral to launch a U.S Brick and Mortar biz I have been working on ( I want to keep them though), I love seeing the rise of IGNIS price after the snapshot - And I plan to keep trading NXT as long as I can, I bet we trade until we die. |

If I was a betting man I'd suggest Wraith will be released midnight on New Year's Eve, just for impact, ushering in a new year.

That's a great idea! They need something big to erase the effect of the fud campaign, and releasing wp at midnight on NYE would symbolically represent a new beginning, but also it would gain a lot of media publicity. Hold! I would take that bet, I remember the Dev producing this network, and i do not think he will release any update that is unfinished or rushed, I have no doubt that he will test and rework everything he puts his time into, this guy stands out among the early rush on crypto, and I have observed how he imagines a crypto to be - he will not hold onto an update for the perfect time or rush to push something through, he knows when people rush through a project they mess up, and he has enough dignity to release an update when he is positive it is finished- not at the perfect time - just read back through the history of everything he has ever posted concerning Verge - His aim is is to get privacy right not just acceptable by the masses. Read through the Black Paper - The first Black Paper Keep your calm, peeps... it will grow... Dont FUD and dont create Hype either... they both back fire.
If the Wraith protocol is released and if its a good one, then it will grow...
Else it will burn.
I think Verge is a good hold coin which has a future if the devs and the community back it up.

I would like to find what went wrong so I would like to ask some questiones: 1. is this project alive and real? 2. where do people get news about dev didn't communicate with team for 2 months and the marketing team quiting? (any official info) is it possible? with all the news and gaines of this coin - it happend maybe week ago? so why 2 months? yes I know I could send them a message but if the're bunch of crooks such information would be useless 3. last but not least - why wraith protocol isn't mentioned in the road map on the official site? that's scares me most. or I'm seeing wrong or it's called different in the road map? if anyone is so kind to reply please reply your information with it's source so I know yor not a troll and don't want to me to sell you cheap coin. atm vere large amount of volume is bought cheaply so for now I'll HODL but anyone has some instight? sorry about my grammar  I say it is unlikely that the project is not active. I still have a large VERGE holding and I won't sell, I think it will be $1 sooner than you think, and my gamble is for about $3 somewhere in 2018. Even if the dev got out of the project and the team did not work on VERGE anymore, the current influx of money will be a huge motivation to start on it again and get a new dev, because it proves that the coin will be bought if they just work on it. So even if there is more selling this will turn around in a few months tops. Some time ago I bought 5K NEO @ $50 it then went to the 20's, but I just din't stress, there is SOOOO much money still going in crypto and this will continue for at least months if not years. This means that almost all coins will be higher next year 99% GUARANTEED. You will make money on crypto's if you just buy one of the top 100 coins and just hold it for 1 year. Don't look at the price in between because it will drive you mad and cause you to panic sell. People are greedy so they are chasing the next pop and sell when a coin is not performing. This can work, but can also cost you money. If you want to make money guaranteed, just buy and hold a mix of 5 - 10 of the top 100 coins and you will be fine. Why do you think the Dev is not Active?? For me it's etherum because it's the 2nd most popular now next to bitcoin. I have read other threads and they always mention etherum. I'ts always better to diversify.
You have probably read the top threads in the forum, read thru 5 listings of the forum threads and then reevaluate your position. the top 5 Alt's might do 5-10X - in 2018 but the lowcap under US $50 will surge beyond your wildest imaginations. |

The project is alive and real. 2. As a decentralized coin news of it's happening's will only be broadcast when there is solid new's of progress (this is how true decentralized coins do it to keep it from being pumped) 3. Road maps are for the noobs, if it is on a map that you read you could bet that the pumpers will be reading the same thing and it's possible you will get dumped on while your sleeping - I doubt the black doggie is joking about the Wraith protocol, just might be a surprise to you when it show's up if you have no Verge. 4. I am with you on the ATH day's later, and about the 20's and the magnets, the futures thing has me interested though cause its the masses in play, so many people came into our game lately and the amount of user's is spinning things out of control, the Decentralized coins are the haven for the dips and the tokens are outdoing thier platform's in ICO's and Airdrops - such the time to come back to crypto for me - very exciting to see things in an upward spiral, The question remains..... How does IGNIS trade 3X higher than its platform coin?? As a future basically cause it is not ye tradable. in my opinion, people want to have nxt because of there free ignis that they can get if they have nxt and this is why many people buy nxt. besides that, while nxt is at a cheap price, people want to buy with a big amount so they can get ignis with a big mount too. this action makes the price jumps significantly and influence the market, some people think that this is their opportunity to sell their nxt to make a profit and some other still hold their nxt to get free ignis.
Sure NXT will rise these few days before Airdrop, but the IGNIS is 3X more than the coin that rewards the Airdrop!!!!!  |

So since Verge was created out of a fork back in the day, would it be possible to import an old Dogecoin privatekey or something into Verge? What coin was it exactly?
Does anyone knows the answer for this question? I know Verge started has DogecoinDark, can't remember if it was a fork from Dogecoin the first 5 pages of this thread will tell you what your looking for. |
