With this whole BTER scandal, what is going to happen on Feb. 20 when the next phase of NODE is supposed to be announced?
Hopefully exchanges will not be needed

Who here is interested in becoming a Delegate?
What is a Delegate? It requires a 3-4 gigabyte (less if you compile elsewhere) VPS instance to run a C++ program that creates and signs block. These positions are voted in by the community. This is Delegated Proof of Stake - there is no mining. The more different people that volunteer to be delegates the better the network's security will be until the community grows. Transaction fees will be significant until we get pushback. That is the only way to maintain deflation and expect fees to pay for the Delegates. I can not suggest what anyone will receive - this is mainly a for fun endeavor with hopes of making a decent currency. This is ideal for someone who has spare VPS instances or a datacenter sitting around. Otherwise it will likely cost approximately $20 a month. I believe almost all instances are run under Ubuntu but it would be possible to run a Windows version if someone wishes to try.
"Why would I want to run a Delegate?"
1) You want to gain system administration experience. 2) You have system admin experience. 3) You have a spare VPS sitting around that can handle ~3 gigabytes of memory possibly left. 4) You will waste your time elsewhere doing less interesting things 5) You want to test the waters for running as a paid Delegate for the BitShares (BTS) chain.
I will think of more reasons in the coming days.
It still hasn't been determined how many Delegates the chain will have. 29 would be a good maximum.
I would like the opportunity to host and run a delegate.

Hey guys, looking for some help with the greencoin deamon. I cannot for the life of me get connections out of the latest version. Since updating a while back it's been hit and miss for getting any sort of conenctions for the daemon to run. The new version also seems to hang a LOT. I've tried the addnodes in the OP and also the ones that were posted 3 pages back that were stated as stable with little result.
Anyone else run into these issues and how were they resolved. I've deleted and reinstalled several times, new wallets, etc.
Please let me know because I cannot get the faucet to operate without the deamon getting blocks. The Block Explorer is also lagging big time.
greencoind addnode 188.226.195.137:11036 add should work

Hello Got myself a few HYP and have setup hyperstaked on archlinuxarm (cubox-i). cclistcoins and stakeforcharity are very handy commands. hyperstaked getaccountaddress is great for sending desired amount of coins for staking as you get a new addres/block each time. Just to check - walletpassphrase <passphrase> 9999999 true comand and the demon is good to stake?

When withdrawal come back to work in Bter? Bter has been advised that the client returned to work? I'm with my 500,000 coins blocked since the 16th. I imagine that must have many people in this situation.

Hi, I'm Mark @ AllCoin.com
What's wrong, our wallet always blocked and has no connections.
Please give me some stable nodes.
Just started greencoind on my server. It should help the greencoin network. addnode 188.226.195.137:11036 add

what??? TaunSew said "node is a very good buy"? that's not possible, it's not you! your account were hacked or you are ill perhaps... It is a trick so later when he starts the fud again people believe he's a supporter. These fudders do this cycle over and over and the newbs don't know what to believe. Older version of NODE is also not working?
Been working all day for me on 3872 18/11/2014 06:08:50 700.00000 2.45000 15808521961712022434 If that is correct. Yes Will stay on node_0.9.1b_linux untill new one is stable.

First of all I would replace the part in the title "NodeCoin 2d gen Code build on NODE.JS!" with something like "NodeCoin first decentralized Coin with INSTANT TRANSACTIONS !!!!"
Just use NODE and promote as a system not a coin. #Check out @NODE a simple, effective, #Instant and #secure online #wallet to manage #Bitcoin #USD #EUR #Cheque

When can we withdraw from bter?
|
|

Yes probably. Just realized that my linux client is already connected to the main client so probably we are back to the old clients until the new one is ready today.
Can you make transaction? Yes Sent a few node

Try to resync your wallet, by deleting wallet files and recreate from scratch with 25 words seed.
All is OK again. Thanks for the help. I was using a deprecated version of the wallet. Is there any way to stop bitmonerod eating soooooo! much memory?

Should I leave my node running or kill it? Your call but wait for update of new client. Old clients cannot connect to network ATM. Its a waste of CPU. Killed my node until update.

@update
Today we have updated all peers, older versions of the client do not work. Tomorrow night at the same time with the start of the promo will be new versions of the clients
Is that why my node has been reset and is now 'Blockchain verifing blocks'?
