bonjour à toutes et à tous,

un ami à moi a fait très récemment un achat de BTC, et se retrouve avec une feuille de transactions de 18 lignes pour 1 seul achat.

On y trouve:

Merci

/ no troll /

hi all,

What sites do you think are serious enough to keep safe your identity scans for years, or not sell them to a third party ?

I tried to make my opinion by reading TOS, but nothing consistent on encryption+salt, privacy ...

Do you prefer US, UK based, Singapore or European ones ?

Give me your thoughts,

Emilia

63  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitstamp comission/fee is all wrong today on: November 20, 2013, 09:19:09 PM
hi,

A friend of mine opened an account on their site. All genuine ;-), but watermarked (to avoid identity theft, and one doesn't know in five years were all the scans will be).

They asked her 3 times, telling is was not readable. All was readable, only heavy watermark (allowed) in colour in areas with no information.

Took four days.

Failed

So the SW is buggy, but also the identity/location checking process.

Thanks to all for all your answers and tricks.

The BTC management is not trivial. Even Senior members have different opinions.

OK.

So all I have to do is to add sufficient balance to my dust.

1) At total, I have around 0.01 BTC in dust.

2) I add a big amount, but how big ?

1 BTC ? less ?

What do you think ??

P.S.And then maybe I'll write an howto : "dust for newbie will not go with the wind"
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to get rid of BTC dust ??? on: November 14, 2013, 10:11:16 PM

my Idea, if my readings are correct ...

When bitcoin44me say : "No, you can send it all with 1 transaction if you spend enough btc to that address"

example:

I'll have V1=0.05 BTC + V2=10 µBTC in the first Wallet W1 (on my computer).

I create an E-wallet W2 at coinbase for example, and transfer V1+V2 from the first wallet W1 to the second Wallet W2. So I aggregate V1+V2=> V3

And then I go back and tranfert V3 from Wallet W2 to wallet W1.

Is it correct ?

I only have one (open) wallet.

Do you suggest I used several wallets, and make some transfers from one to another.

Do you have a theoric example, to show me how to aggreegate my dust?

It could be helpful for a lot of newbies who (like me) did not fully understand the BTC conceppts.

regards,

E.

morality:

read the manual, carefully !

If I understand correctly, all my dust is unusable, lost !!!!!

No, wrong title maybe

but I have tiny coins;

I can do nothing with them separately (1µ BTc there , 3 µBTC here ...) but their amount has increasing to a (aggregated) whole 0.01 BTC.

So how "save" them to be able to use them, once aggregated

?

I have a lot of dust transactions. I know I cannot transfert them because of the fee.

example : T1 = 0.00000001 BTC

If I add to my wallet T2 = 0.05 BTC, maybe I can aggregate them and send them (with no fee) to another address ?

Am I right ?

Can you develop a little for a junior member ?

hi everybody,

[I didn't know where to post this topic]

I have a lot of dust, from faucets, and PTC. I'll soon retrieve a 0.05 BTC reward . How can I work to, say, get rid of my dust. ?

How do you operate ?

Thanks for your ideas.

thanks you for the link!

It seems there is an overhead between online buy and face-to-face buy process !

The last one is much more expensive (10%) even if I am in the same city.

I'll think about it
76  Other / Beginners & Help / advice for earnest BTC site buying/selling on: November 11, 2013, 07:00:50 PM
I everyone,

I'm looking for a responsible site to send money to ! I previously posted to know how much time it takes from scratch to make a complete transaction,
but I also want to know which are responsible enough.

Some ask Id card scans, some others only moneygram and ask trust and confidence from you.

What do you think ?

I also struggled for a lot of times (> 10min) before understanding the 4-hour blocking system.
It makes sense, but I could be more newbie-friendly.

For people not accustomed with forum subscribtion, i can be difficult.

You could suspect your browser, its add-ons, cookies, ... !

Hi all,

Would you share with me how many time (hours, days) it took you to set up an account in a trading bitcoin site and make an effective buy order

(ID scans + check + bank transfert/moneygram).

I wonder which site are quick, which are slow (maybe which are really not safe) ?

Thanks

Emilia
