61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you feel the rise of BTC anytime soon? on: April 02, 2018, 09:57:15 AM
The percentage of people who distrust Bitcoin must be bigger now after the last two months.   I thought it would fall further but always it recovers. Because it is not in certain people's interest for it to fail completely.  They need to keep it afloat so they can still make money from people who are losing money.  Would I invest in Bitcoin now.  No I wouldn't.  I've lost faith in it for the time being.
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: April fools day fact: The market keep bleeding hard on: April 01, 2018, 04:38:26 PM
Whales now bumping again I see in the hope that a lot of ordinary investors will come along and buy and hold.  And then swoop whales are back again to gobble up the lot.  Happens every time without fail.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will continue dipping as rally lacks the support from volumes on: April 01, 2018, 11:15:08 AM
If more people invest in Bitcoin the price will go up.  But they need to realise that not everyone can make a profit and it's all to do with timing.  There is no interest paid.  They only profit they make is other people's money.  If there are no 'other people' prepared to lose money then it's a dead loss.   That is the huge problem.  And few people seem to realise this.  You don't lose money till you sell.  But you don't make money till you sell either.  It works both ways.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: April fools day fact: The market keep bleeding hard on: April 01, 2018, 08:22:06 AM
The market is only affected by people taking money out and people putting money in.  If it's the first the price goes down if it's the second the price goes up.  that's the only ting that affects the price.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto market-cap dips below $300 billion as doom and gloom continues on: March 31, 2018, 05:25:48 PM
The secret has got to be buying in the dips and selling on the rises.  If you miss the boat then you'll have to wait for the next time.  What is the point of holding for the next five years.  Nobody knows where Bitcoin or any other coin will be in five years time.  Obviously you won't always get this timing right.  But if you just sell a portion of your coins when the price rises then you can make a bit of profit.  And then if it goes down at least you've made something.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good opportunity to buy or huge risk to lose money on: March 31, 2018, 09:17:56 AM
I really do think the party will be over soon.  For yes some people have made money but how many ordinary people have lost money in this venture.  We'll probably never know.  Because every dollar gained is somebody else's dollar lost.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So much for your stupid idea to fucking HODL - Dumbest thing ever on: March 30, 2018, 01:54:22 PM
I totally agree.  This hodling under any circumstances is total madness.  You sell at lest some of your investment when price goes up.  Anything else is total financial craziness.  Bitcoin pays no interest like shares.  So the only money you get back is when it goes up.  If you don't sell you've made nothing, zilch, zero.
68  Economy / Speculation / Is this a good opportunity to buy or huge risk to lose money on: March 30, 2018, 01:45:07 PM
I am 50/50 on this.  Is it a good chance to buy and we won't see 6k again or is it a huge risk and it might crash to 2k or even to nothing.   Are people buying now or just watching and waiting.  There does seem a big volume of Bitcoin changing hands today compared to the last couple of weeks.  Are they buying or selling.  Why has it gone down so much at the moment.  So many questions and few answers.  I think it's looking a very risky business at the moment.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Slides Under $7,600 as Market Dips Below $300 Billion on: March 30, 2018, 10:31:37 AM
Selling during a dip is probably not sensible unless you are expecting the price to crash and never rise again.  And also not sensible is to buy during a high price.  If you are determined to buy then buy low not high.  What is low.  Well I think now it's quite low but it could go lower.  I thought during the last crash it would go lower but it didn't.  This time not sure.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have you noticed bitcoin price now was quite stable? on: March 29, 2018, 03:18:00 PM
I would have agreed with you a few days ago but now it is looking very shaky.  Once it goes below 8k that is quite a bad sign I think.  We'll have to wait and see what happens over the next few days.  If it's going to crash then a holiday weekend for a lot of the world would be a good time to crash it if it's planned by whales.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's causing the dump ? on: March 28, 2018, 10:47:10 AM
I think the day traders are helping to keep the price down.  And a lot of people aren't buying because there isn't certainty that the price will rise significantly any time soon.     But we'll need to wait a few more weeks to see what the general trend is whether it's upwards or downwards.  I think this time it's really hard to predict which.  I think it will just hover.    So hover, spectacular rise or almighty crash.  Who knows this time.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Invest on Bitcoin now or wait? on: March 27, 2018, 08:48:10 PM
If people want to invest then now when the price is under 8k is as good a time as any if they feel the price will go up in the next month or so.  Don't wait till the price is 12k and then decide to jump on the bandwagon.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: be careful what you wish for on: March 25, 2018, 04:48:25 PM
Because they missed out on cheaper coins.  They hope it will crash to say 1K and then they can buy coins and wait till the price rises again to 19K.  Well they'll have a long wait.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the current crash is a biggest opportunity to grab asap? on: March 21, 2018, 10:12:39 AM
I would not buy now at price around 9k but it could go to 10k but not a lot more.  I'd wait for a cheaper price.  But I'm cautious.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening? on: March 20, 2018, 10:56:14 PM
I don't agree that there is nothing to worry about.  I think the market going constantly up and down and never knowing what to expect not even from one day to the next but one hour to the next must affect people thinking about investing.  I am not investing just now.  But other folk might make a different decision.  So I am not spreading fud.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach 20,000 again on: March 20, 2018, 10:42:56 AM
I don't think you can ever say never.  But at the moment it doesn't look as if 20k is a possibility any time soon.  New people who have been watching the market will be cautious before buying because every time the price goes up it falls again with in a day or so.  And folk who have already bought and seen the price go down will be cautious too.  I read that even day traders are losing money because the price is so unpredictable.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term predictions for BTC price? on: March 19, 2018, 12:10:30 PM
Possibly will go to 12K before dropping again.  I can't see it going above that this year.  Bottom well that's anyone's guess.  Depends on what the whales decide.  And I'm not one of those.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is Bitcoin? Nothing! on: March 18, 2018, 05:11:49 PM
I agree that only time will tell what the truth is and if Bitcoin will survive.  But even if it doesn't digital money must become a reality eventually.  But all those multiple other coins.  People must be losing money who invested in them.  I read Ripple was the best coin quite a while ago.  I didn't buy any but thought about it and now it's worth virtually nothing.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin miners are now losing money on: March 18, 2018, 11:10:15 AM
Not sure if I believe that 100%.  Not saying it isn't true but I thought I read the cost of mining was under 2k for one Bitcoin.  But it might not be enough money to do it as a full time job.  It could be fud.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it just me or is the Bitcoin price nothing more than a puppet on: March 17, 2018, 11:59:13 PM
I agree with your point.  It needs to be useful and accepted generally as a currency for paying for things we buy.  Or it needs to be a very reliable store for savings.  And it's not either one of those things at the present time.
