I`m looking at this post it`s really amazing but i`m confused regarding the merit given for comments . It`s unfair what someone is writng a interesting post and is not receiving at least 1 merit and someone is writing a comment and receives 100 merit . This system is not working properly at all . Who is in charge regarding merit Huh I just what to share one of my post where i think i deserve at least 1 merit point .

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / How not to lose and not to be irrational to potential gains and greed. on: March 11, 2018, 09:24:30 AM
There is something concerning i've been seeing especially since late 2017. While we know blockchain and its potential is here to stay, i find that a lot of us are getting lost and irrational over the potential gains and greed.

I just felt like leaving this here, i've visited many coins, their telegrams and sometimes people just don't seem to get the hint. They were lured into a particular investment after seeing the coin go on a massive run and jumping in. They listen to so called business gurus and youtubers who probably were paid to advertise these coins without doing any fundamental analysis of their own.

Crypto currency is exciting but we must not forget to keep a cool head and be logical about things. I find that too often we are ignoring the consequences and only focused on potential gains. Too many people are going all in based on hype, based on nay-say without understanding the coin or what it does.
I remembered watching ARN going up 200% as everyone jumped blindly on to it, only for it to crash and burn shortly after. During the whole fiasco there were early investors of the company going out on bitcointalk and the companies twitter accusing the company of fraud. But this did not stop people from jumping in.
I've seen so many friends lose their fortune over blind faith. They don't think about the industry and they don't think about the big picture. Yes, crypto's market cap may not matter as its likely and I do believe very likely to be in the trillions in the future but the solutions cryptographs give still is tied to the industry they are solving

For example, if you invest in a coin that is some kind of fertilizer blockchain, you need to ask how fast can the fertilizer industry grow? With the price of the token, its supply and the agricultural industry's average growth. How far can the coin go and what share of the industry will it have?

We aren't asking these questions enough, when i challenge developers or write them e-mails to inquire about their coins, 80% of the time, i find that they have absolutely no understanding of the industry they are working in or they out right refuse to answer sometimes in a very hostile way.
Before you invest please do your due research, don't ask crypto gurus or follow hype. Keep a sound mind and be patient. If something is hyped up, it probably will get pulled back sooner or later.
Here are some things i do whenever I look at a potential coin for a long term hold just as i do when i invest in company's

I check on the people and their qualifications
I verify that these are indeed the people operating the project
I look at what they are trying to solve
I verify the statistics given on their whitepaper
I ask people who are in that industry if they could see the cost savings of their idea
I view statistics of that said industry (annual growth, liquidity)
I zoom into the specifics of the industry where this coin will be applied on
If all is good I will consider a mid term hold till the platform is released and may extend it to a long term hold if it fulfils its practicality.
I observe how well the company fulfils its deadlines and how active its community is
I check the company for any potential scandals
I read negative reviews and weigh in to see if their accusations have an economic impact on the company and the industry itself
If any coin does not meet the points above i NEVER hold them long terms. I might ride their news hype but i'll never sleep on them in a wallet. Guys this is your hard earn money, I hope this post can help some think twice about what their long term holds are. Put it with a group of people that you know for sure can deliver and they know the industry and they know how to solve it. Don't let greed destroy your life and always read both sides of the story.
Some case studies i did for friends shortly before those coins went down.

POE:
When POE was on the rise (made 150% returns on it) i did a F.A on POE. POE is focused on the creative industry and providing authentication to artists and their work. As a former employee to a game company and coming from an art school I could instantly see the massive flaw of the project.
Artists are subjected to rampant piracy, but no one is going to stop downloading your music videos or save your artwork without paying even if you had POE. Hence it does not actually save artist money from piracy. Further more blockchain is not recognized as legal evidence. The court will only accept your patent as legal proof of your work.
If you brought your POE into court, the attorney and the accused can easily refute your blockchain ledger as unrecognised and potentially manipulated material which will worsen your case.
I called this out when POE was 700 satts, its now under 400 satts as of this post.

XVG: When XVG has a reputation of not being on time with its major updates which affects its reliability. I also find that at times its community undermines product which imo its actually excellent. I lurked in Verge's telegram for a while. While i know these actions are not that of Sunerok's the moderators aren't helping to make the project more credible by banning people who ask questions about it.
I can understand banning people who are rude or intentionally spreading fake news but it seems in the telegram and likely in their other media, they remove any post or anyone who inquires, challenges or posts T.A that show any drop in price of the coin.
These kind of actions aren't healthy at all and encourages suspicion. Firstly, investors have no idea if the developers will deliver from their past track record. Secondly, the community seems highly intolerant to any form of negative news. I don't see any effort to justify or debate skeptics and they are simply removed from their social media.
images.png

I moved this coin into my short and mid term holds since december. I ride on its news but i don't actively stay in it.
Its true, some of these coins could step their game up in the future. But always think on both sides. Never assume things will go your way. Consider all sides of the story. If anything, of the slightest gives off a potential red flag. You will need to be more active in watching your investment if you do choose to proceed into investing in that group.

Alright I said my piece. Probably the longest post i ever made but I felt it needed to be said.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / I'm really confused why there has to be a new coin for everything? on: March 10, 2018, 08:01:55 PM
I have a question. I believe in blockchain, I also believe in the potential of cryptocurrency. But I'm really confused why there has to be a new coin for everything?

Everyone likes to compare this to investing in the internet back in the 90s. But there's only one internet, yes originally there were three or four people trying develop something similar, but not an internet for everything. Why is there a coin for everything? Will there always be a gadzillion coins? Or will there come a time that one coin will rule them all?

To me it seems that all these coins are a scam and that's what scares so many investors away. Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do I multiply bitcoins? on: March 10, 2018, 06:45:19 PM
Most of the people invested into alts during the highs are people margin trading their bitcoin and buying into alts. When bitcoin starts to drop, everyone must sell their alt coins to put back into bitcoin so that they don't get margin called. At the same time people are taking their money out of Bitcoin and into fiat or fiat-pegged assets. Alt coins almost always drop to a certain point because all that are left are the long term investors. This is why I think BTC and alts rise and fall simultaneously.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: March 10, 2018, 06:42:31 PM
Some great points made here!

Many newbies get involved and do not research coins before investing, seen so many crap coins get pumped and then many left holding bags at the top wondering where all the money went.

Please do your research and invest in coins based on road maps, team, pain it solves, coin supply etc.

Current coins way undervalued at the minute (In my opinion) include.....

QSP
AXP
TRAC
VEN
UTK
TNC
ACT
STEEM

Also regarding the continued drop we are seeing has a lot to do with this which I saw today from Alt Coins & Beyond..............

The Mt Gox lawyer/Trustee that is assigned to selling the Bitcoin per court order is doing it at the same time each day (most liquid time)....We're in this until he gets the amount he wants & seems to have a set amount for each day he's allowed to do.
He refuses to do off market selling/auction so as not to affect the Bitcoin price.
The fact that the market keeps trying to bounce back after such huge one time dumps is impressive (I day trade Bit so watching it 24/7 on my screen) but this could take us down a bit until he's done...It's good for the market to redistribute & lower the price but it's hard to watch & wait idle while this plays out...But at least we know what, when, how, etc.
68  Economy / Speculation / BTC price analysis for Friday 3/9 updated on: March 09, 2018, 11:00:13 AM
BTC price analysis for Friday 3/9 updated

If you are trading intraday:

BTC opened at 9321 on march 9th it then dropped to 8398 and stopped which is close to 8384 support level 2 1/4 this is an oversold level, so there might be an opportunity for a counter trend trade long BTC, it did bounce there and then rose back up to 8886 which is near support level 1 at 8932 which is now resistance, this is a good place to close the trade. You then watch where the price goes and trade accordingly.

If you are trading the daily swing:

BTC got down to 8398 which is near support level 2 1/2 8330 which is an oversold level, this could be an opportunity for a long position in BTC.
Above or below the pivot, momentum switches to or from the upside to the downside. For buyers: Support 1 is good buying price, support 2 is very
good buying price, support 3 is screaming buy price. Resistance 1 is not bad selling price, resistance 2 is good
selling price, resistance 3 is very, very good selling price. If you are short: support 1, 2 and 3 are good levels to take profits.
Support2 or resistance 2 is a good place to catch a countertrend bounce for a countertrend trade.
When the price crosses the pivot point switch from long to short or get out, if you are investing for a long time frame, ignore it.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Debit Cards – Prepaid Visa And Mastercard Comparison on: March 08, 2018, 06:43:07 PM
The best way to use Bitcoin for purchases in offline stores, and to turn your bitcoyne into cash is Bitcoin debit cards. Bitcoin-cards are prepaid plastic cards tied to your Bitcoin purse at the level of card issuers. They are often called "purse cards" - you download the corresponding bitcoin purse from the BTC, and you conveniently navigate it where you need it.

Cards of ATMs Bitcoin are debit cards, that is there is no credit line attached to them. They are also prepaid, which means that you can only spend what you downloaded on the card earlier. You download bitkoin (or other crypto currency) in a special purse, which is connected to a plastic card.As you pay or withdraw cash, your BTC is converted to a fiat currency (USD, EUR etc.) and the payment is made.

Bitcoin Visa or Mastercard card?

Both Visa and Mastercard are used for prepaid encryption cards. When you view the comparison below, you will see the similarity between all Visa cards (limits for unverified customers, fees, etc.) and between all Mastercard cards. Most often, debit cards Mastercard allow you to increase the limits of costs and withdrawals of POS

Free cards?

I’ve reviewed options that let you get a free Bitcoin debit card, see the pricing comparison below. Please note that free cards are compensated with higher fees for most operations.

Can you get an anonymous Bitcoin debit card?

About half of the providers of prepaid cards allow you to have "untested", ie, an anonymous card. However, due to strict AML and KYC rules, the limits for such a card will be low. All anonymous crypto-currency cards will have a lifetime limit, which means that after loading and unloading from them a certain amount of the card will stop working (if you do not confirm your ID). Nevertheless, anonymous cards are convenient for gifts, off-net payments and card reviews.

For more information, see Bitcoin Debit Card Comparison List.

71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Update BTC / USD. I do not think that panic is needed here on: March 07, 2018, 10:13:35 PM
This is similar to a coordinated dump that occurs in Crypto quite regularly. I still see some bullish signs when we bounced off at once from several important points of interest. We rebounded from the downtrend we broke last week, found some support there, and rebounded from the tendency to form the head and shoulders. It also coincided with the bottom of the 12-hour red cloud that found support.

This does not mean that we will not lose support again, so we need to be careful. This is a great idea about planning a 5-wave map, at the moment its mini-crash is just a little noise in our road map, and the goals and map are still the same as you can see in Elliott waves. I will be looking for some purchases between $ 9,100 and $ 9,600 USD at the moment. I still have a profit to play with trading 6800/11 400, so I can take a little risk here. The daily 50 EMA Line is right at $ 9,000, so we do not want to see a breakdown below $ 9,000 at the opening of a new daily. The gap there will see a free fall back down to a possible double bottom of the $ 6000 zone.

My goals remain the same, and I see this as an opportunity to improve the situation in our current trade.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Vladimir Putin has set a deadline for cryptocurrency regulation to be adopted in on: March 07, 2018, 08:58:58 AM
Vladimir Putin has set a deadline for cryptocurrency regulation to be adopted in Russia.
Other countries will follow. Long term adoption and regulation will make crypto accepted which will lead more institutional money coming in and bigger market caps!

Opinions guys?Huh

It's already done 5x in four days since ICO. In this market that is very impressive! I bought in at ICO and am still buying because I believe it can do 1000x in the long term. They have a good chance to become the first platform to do 1 million/tps...If they reach their full potential that would make them a top 10 coin in a year or two... DYOR!

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Venezuela Petro coin , opinion? on: March 06, 2018, 11:13:44 AM
Governments taking over cryptos? Are the things going in the wrong direction? Huh Huh Huh Huh

The success of Venezuela's El Petro that collected astonishing $775 million in just 1 day is making many crypto enthusiasts worried.
The crypto currencies and blockchain were created to let people have a decentralized and government-free environment.
With more and more governments taking over the market, the whole idea of Satoshi Nakamoto seems to get in the wrong hands.

Iran and Turkey are planning to launch their own cryptos as well. Turkcoin will be backed by the stock of popular companies such as

Turkish Airlines, Istanbul Stock Exchange and Turk Telekom. China main bank is preparing their own crypto as well.
If this continues, more and more countries will jump on the wagon and sooner or later take over the market with their totally centralized cryptos.

At the same time it also means more regulation, more stability and most important MORE MONEY coming into the crypto industry which is good for everybody, as the big companies and hedge funds will prefer to invest in the government based cryptos instead of traditional ones.

Are the things going in the wrong direction? Or it's good for the industry? What do you think?

Are the government backed cryptos good for the markets and will make it more stable or less volatile?

Ripple will be worth $16

Samson Williams, CSO the Irish Fintech firm SeedUps, predicts that XRP will rise to $ 16 by December of the current year.

Samson Williams, who is also a partner in the consulting company Axes and Eggs, dealing with Blcokchain and cryptocurrency development, is confident in the prospects of the XRP token.

"This is not a digital currency, it is a child of banks. Thanks to this, he will receive a natural blow from the recession in 2018," Samson Williams.

LOVE IT OR HATE IT - Make sure you hold this coin this year!

Salut!

P.S. Daca cineva din moldoveni are ceva merit liber , impartitiva ca vad ca e tare greu de acumulat meritul acesta .Asa ca trebuie sa ne ajutam intre noi Smiley))

Mult succes in continuare
79  Economy / Service Discussion / When market is down A lot of traders become emotional:) What about you? on: March 05, 2018, 07:19:04 PM
When the market is down, I notice that a lot of traders become emotional, hopeless, and they panic. All the bragging about about their "gains" and their portfolio to anyone will listen vanishes from their minds. They forget why they started in the first place and begin to doubt their investments, so they sell... often times at a loss.
On the other hand, those who understand blockchain and the tech remain focused and care little about market swings. Most of the smartest people I know dont sit around refreshing blockfolio 500x a day.. They spend their time reading whitepapers, practicing diligence, and identifying innovation and innovators.
Blockchain is NOT going anywhere. Just because the market is down doesn't mean that devs stop developing or that projects stop reaching their milestones. The technology that's been created *cannot* be undone. As long as you've positioned yourself with solid coins, the VALUE remains the same- even if prices are down. If you believed in it 3 months ago at ATH, and no fundamentals have changed, why are you afraid?
This market is irrational, but we can mostly agree that dips like these are due to SPECULATION and MANIPULATION. If you feel EMOTIONAL when you're about to make a trade... don't do it! And if you can't stand the heat, you might need to consider getting out of the kitchen on the next run up. In the mean time, take some time to educate yourself about blockchain and decentralization if you haven't already
