63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1,000,000 bits = 1 bitcoin. Future-proofing Bitcoin for common usage? VOTE on: October 03, 2014, 05:49:28 PM
We should start using bits already. It is natural since there is room for 2 decimals (like on cents) and sounds cool  Cheesy
The exact opposite of the mbit which is lame and ridiculous and that's why the community has never liked it.

I doesn't matter where your wallet is. It's blockchain spam advertising for most of the time.
You can't do anything really except enjoy the free satoshis.  Tongue

69  Other / Off-topic / Re: Consumer question on: September 27, 2014, 10:00:34 AM
I prefer a one time buy. If you want to charge extra later on you should do it for expansions of your service and let the user decide if they suit him...
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Charts? You want charts!? on: September 27, 2014, 09:57:11 AM
hmmm ... and a clock that looks like a drawing in the blackboard
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trying to predict Bitcoin's price in 2015 through crowd wisdom on: September 27, 2014, 09:45:24 AM
The basic idea is that if you get enough people from different demographics to guess something the average result is as good as an expert's advice.

Crowd wisdom  might be a good indicator for estimating the outcome of an election but it has little to no value for super complicated topics like asset pricing... Gl though...
72  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Huobi withdrawal resumed after misoperation involving 920+BTC on: September 27, 2014, 08:55:41 AM
It seems the customers have already paid back 880 btc out of the overpaid 920 btc within a day.
To be honest, I am quite surprised to see that the customers are so cooperative.

Well they didn't really have many options since withdrawals got suspended after the incident...

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Peercoin going up in price so much? on: September 21, 2014, 04:40:57 AM
Because of nubits which is something that promises to take away the volatility of cryptos... Whatever that means...
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Explain to me the Byzantine Generals' Problem and how Bitcoin solves it. on: September 18, 2014, 11:32:05 PM
Since it's difficult for individuals to achieve concensus without a trusted third party, bitcoin uses the blockchain as the trusted 3rd party.
And blockchain can be trusted because it's difficult to change its entries.

It's a practical workaround of the problem by combining pow with the  blockchain. Not exactly a solution.
Still pretty elegant and genius.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets. on: September 18, 2014, 11:18:49 PM
Baron Rothschild, an 18th century British nobleman and member of the Rothschild banking family, is credited with saying that "The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets."

Buying or selling cryptos in the 21st century based on what a banker said 300 years ago...  There must be an oxymoron in there somewhere...
