I love this coin Smiley

me too but it isn't getting much traction.

i mined solo this evening and got 100 in a couple of hours with 2 high-end cards, much more than i'd get in a pool.

it's a cute coin but doesn't look like it could brake out.

why would anybody keep so many dogecoins in a pool?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SHKL] CryptoShekel | Launching 01/02/14 | shilling intensifies on: January 03, 2014, 11:02:18 AM
what's the procedure when you sell 1 to 1? is there an escrow service or do you just trust somebody to sell you some coins perhaps based on a screen shot or something? (highly risky if you ask me)

i've got for the moment around 400 and, although i like this coin, i could be interested in selling a part of them. so any offers welcome.

66  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING Cryptsy exchange is a Scam site on: December 22, 2013, 05:43:03 PM
I join OP in his warning. I have experienced first hand exactly what he has described.

- half of the trade carried out (BTC for LTC)
- the other half carried out the next day way above my limit (when I had already transferred my funds out)
- BTC account in negative as result of the trade
- unknowingly, i transferred some new alt coins to my account but afterwards couldn't withdraw them because my BTC account was in the negative
- ticket opened three days ago, no reply

Moral of the story: I end up owing Cryptsy BTC and my altcoins are held hostage as long as I'm in negative.

I'd seriously advise anybody *NOT* to trade at Cryptsy's. It will ruin your time and cause you many worries. And when you think your troubles are over it, you will discover new ones.

Lots of people seem to excuse Cryptsy because of technical issues. If this were the case they'd be so incompetent to deserve to be out of business. I, like OP, believe on the other hand that Cryptsy is a scamming site, stealing people out of their coins. You have been warned.

67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: doge.cryptopool.it - SCAM on: December 18, 2013, 03:55:42 PM
Same here. Several threads about this already.

Do *not* mine there.

It seems though that he's been paying this or that miner selectively, so many are still hoping. In any case you'd be crazy to continue mining at that filthy scammer's pool. I hope he dies in his own crap.

Stinks like scam.  Angry

Yeah, my mining rig is in my basement because of the noise, but I wish it were in here with me to keep me warm... (freezing)

I have the same problem at this one:
http://orb.crypto-expert.com/

With this guy:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=85405

When I'm the new guy, I tend to assume that any problem is probably my fault, but when the pool admin never responds to your messages, and the pool goes empty on a hot coin with no notifications, site banners or anything, the most reasonable conclusion left is that someone is intentionally ripping me off.

Is there anything that can be done about this, other than telling the whole cryptocoin world that the guy running the pool is a thief?

I don't know what can be done. You can't really go to the local police stations can you? So you spread out the word so others know what's happening.

Crypto seems like a breeding ground for scammers. I switched over to doge.cryptotool.it (bad decision!) because my usual pool was down for maintenance. I've lost 30K of coins.

I guess you just have to be careful.

Registrations now open for http://doge.netcodepool.org, these guys have around ~3400 miners right now and 3200Mh/s of net pool hash rate.

Such WOW !

Vote DOGE here to send it to Cryptsy -

Where are the live stats on your site?
3400 miners, 3200Mh/s?

The link from your stats page links to a LTC block. wtf? stop spamming/scamming!!

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ALTCOIN][DOGE] Cryptopool.it - no payment since 24h [Possible RIPOFF?] on: December 17, 2013, 05:33:22 PM
Still no news on doge.cryptopool.it

Site shows suspiciously stable figures all day long: ~450 workers and a ~160MH.

If all these people still haven't been paid, I doubt they'd still be mining along for LeftToeCut.

I see he logged in during the day, didn't deem it necessary to give an explanation....
74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there any scrypt mining rigs? on: December 17, 2013, 04:35:35 PM
You mean scrypt ASIC rigs? No, there aren't any yet.

Geez, anybody know of a reliable pool???

Each one I've been to looks kind of shady...

There are already people complaining in the pool's main thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359276.0
