61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: November 17, 2014, 12:49:19 AM
Posted today: "Apologies for the wait, there will be an updated next week".

I predict this update will go something like this:

Dear Alpha-T customers,

We are excited to announce that your mining rigs will be upgraded yet again. Those customers who purchased the 50Mh/s and the 250Mh/s units will now receive 500Mh/s (@300W) and 2.5Gh/s (@1500W) units in their place. On top of that we have also decided to refund everyone's deposit as a gesture of good will. We have the product on the shelves and are ready to start shipping from our assembly center in India immediately. Tracking updates will be sent out as we process orders and change their status to "shipped".

Thank you for your continued support,

Alpha-T

I say go after the Dad, he's still around from what I understand. He was involved when the crime was committed. Their little accounting business should be collateral damage. No way they should be allowed to be licensed accountants. Organize and make sure no one involved in this walks away without being accountable for their involvement in a massive SCHEME!

Who accredits accountants in the U.K.? I'm sure they would like to know about the massive fraud he was a part of.

Take the gloves off, go for anyone and everyone who was apart of this fraud.

Are you trying to speak English? I love questions that make zero sense.

Now I understand why some of their customers got partial refunds. It was because they were cleaning out their accounts of all the funds. Some of the accounts were frozen and the money could only be returned to sender, they had no access to it. If I were cleaning up shop to leave the country I'd want to close as many of those accounts as possible. Even if that meant I had to return the funds that were frozen, whatever it took to close the accounts.

They're gone, this is now over.                                                                                                THE END!

They're logging into their forum constantly, but their moderation techniques (banning/deleting posts) have slacked off in the past few days. This is indicative of what I can only imagine to be one of two possibilities: It's the sound of the door slamming as they exit the building, or, they're trying to have a cleaner legal image.

Either way.. neither of those options are supportive of their customers.

They haven't bothered to delete any negative posts in over a week. I say they're gone. They've abandoned everything, including their forum.

So let me get this right?

Alpha Tech has cancelled everyone's orders, they are refunding 30% for only the customers who paid in full, those who only paid the deposit are shit out of luck, and those who paid using BTC are completely SOL?

That's how they thank all of their loyal customers who funded this project. As investors the customers have taken all of the risk, put up with all the delays, and are now being thanked by generously returning 30% of the funds (to select customers) and cancelling all orders.

Wow, I'm speechless, they've gotten away with murder. As a business they were already making a profit on each mining rig they sold. Example, their cost on a 250Mh/s Viper is probably 25% of the MSRP. In other words, for each one they sell they bring in enough money to build 4 more.

Essentially they got a massive custom built ASIC mining farm for free? Sounds like this may have been the plan from day one. I wanted to purchase a couple of Vipers from them but, when I saw the picture of their store front and learned they were accountants, I hesitated. It looks like I had good reason to hesitate. These crooked accountants planned this out all the way. It obvious when you look at all of their actions holistically. They clearly don't plan on staying on the radar. I suspect their biggest fear is to lose their accounting licences. These assholes need to be taught a lesson and they should have their lives completely ruined. I hope they go to jail.

You guys are being too nice to these jerks. Yes you want to get your money back and you should do everything possible to get it. Someone needs to organize a real criminal investigation to help put them behind bars.

Did I miss something? Wasn't there supposed to be an announcement about their next excuse for not shipping customer's miners. Have they gone totally dark, off the radar completely? Sure doesn't instill any confidence to those who are waiting for their rigs.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: November 08, 2014, 05:18:36 AM
Since Alpha Sprouts Tech is silent I'm going to look into my magic eight ball for some answers.

It looks cloudy, hard to see, wait I think I see something, here it comes. Ah yes, the answer is "Ask again later".

I guess they are refunding everyone's 30% deposit because they don't plan to ever ship a product. If you paid via BTC you're SOL. The rest of the funds have been seized in one form or another and any refunds being sent are only going out because the funds are essentially frozen unless returned. If they actually built these mining rigs they are going to keep every last one of them for their own mining farm. They will mine with them until they are worthless and only then will they ever leave their possession. Since they kept 70% of everyone's money, excluding those who have gotten full refunds, they ended up with a free mining farm. Leave it to accountants to come up with a crazy SCHEME like this.

I can tell you from first hand experience that PayPal has an automated fraud alert system that freezes accounts that were either involved in or connected to some kind of activity that break their terms of service. With that said, I had done business with one of these fraudulent accounts through no fault of my own. PayPal automatically froze my account with a little under $2k USD in it for a total of 6 months. Then they invited me back like nothing ever happened and released my funds. Needless to say I'll never leave a penny in my PayPal account again. PayPal are crooks themselves, but there is a good chance they froze Alpha Sprouts money for some time, if not indefinitely.

I still say they built the miners, tricked you all into thinking it was full of delays and have been mining the crap out of them. It's the only way the can come out ahead in all of this. Or, they have been beyond incompetent wasted the funds and are victims of their own stupidity.

I'm 100% sure they won't have good news. It would mean they have to stop using the chips they supposedly built. Everyone of their customers has been bent over doggy style. Why would they all of a sudden change that? There will never be good news from these predators.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: November 02, 2014, 11:40:15 PM
Is it the same if I paid in BTC and in Asia? (Philippines)

It shouldn't matter where you're located. As long as you can comply with the U.K. court's instructions you should be covered. It sounds like they require a U.K. address which can be rented from a mail box store. I would assume all of the mail would be automatically forwarded to where you are located. Since you are using a U.K. address in court it shouldn't matter what country you're from. Someone please confirm?
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: November 02, 2014, 12:27:47 AM
So having paid in BTC and in the US...I'm basically screwed right?

You can get a UK address and sue them. When you win you'll get a judgement against them for the money they owe you. I don't know how easy it is to hold their hands to the fire in order to force them to make good on the court order. Good luck, lots of instructions out there. Don't let them get away with this. There is no good reason why they can't just be honest with people. People understand shit happens, but they don't get it. Their silence speaks much louder than any bad news. It speaks of deceit and malicious intent.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 29, 2014, 12:25:10 AM
I looked into my crystal ball and it told me that the place in India that's assembling these units is going to give them a thorough breaking in by mining with them until the difficulty rises enough for them to lose interest and ship them to the customers worldwide. These jokers at Alpha Sprouts Tech won't even see the hardware they are selling from my understanding. Unless of course they take the first batch that were made to setup their own mining farm. Then ship out batch 2 to the batch 1 customers.  Either way these miners will probably work when you receive them.  They will have had weeks if not months of "testing".

This of course means that there is no way on Earth any miners will ship out to their owners until sometime after February. This is best case scenario, if they had another faulty batch of chips this ship may completely sink. They've been launching life boats for a while now. They don't believe this company is viable. Why should anyone expect them to do the right thing with a failed business?

I will be shocked if they ever ship a single miner.

We are under extreme financial pressure and to expect anything higher this late in the process is not realistic as the funds aren't there and to be perfectly blunt we may not be by December.

Finally an honest and true statement from Alfa-Sprouts Tech

We're finally having success!

Meet us over at http://fightalpha.net if you want to see your refund Smiley

Is something wrong with this website? Has it been destroyed by Alpha Tech?

Website still works for me. They can't even operate a telephone, much less knock a website offline.

I feel badly for the customers who paid via BTC. The rest seem to have been able to recover their funds. Even the wire transfer customers have a chance, assuming their money is still sitting in the account it was sent to. Get on it if you haven't already started. First come first serve, and when the money is gone from their accounts it's unlikely the banks will eat the losses.

Get your money back, that's all there is left to do. After that sit back and be entertained at all of this nonsense.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 08, 2014, 03:38:24 PM
You never know, if they are terrorists who prefer to cut their customer's heads off rather than give them a refund, they should be reported. If they are clean they have nothing to worry about. With the current state of events in the world,  it doesn't hurt to ask the proper authorities to follow up on a group of individuals that have already demonstrated a complete disregard for their Western customers. I wouldn't be that surprised to discover this whole thing was perpetrated in an attempt to funnel large amounts of funds to people with less than good intentions. They deserve the attention. That's all i'm gonna say.

Just going over the latest mining calculators and it doesn't look good.

If you're in the USA and you bought one 250Mh/s Viper running at 1875 Watts you spent roughly $9,000 USD for your miner by the time it's delivered. If you started mining right this second, you would still not ROI after a year, AND ASSUMING that the difficulty doesn't increase and the price remains stable. We all know that's not going to happen. These Vipers if delivered tomorrow would be lucky to see 30% ROI if ran for a year straight. I would figure worst case scenario they'll recoup at least 10% of their initial cost before they cost more to run then they earn.

Compare that to the Zeus Lightning 6 (250Mh/s) with a cost of $850, I'm not saying they'll deliver on time, or will deliver anything. The point is to show you how far out of the game Alpha-T already are. I used to think they'd ship a product, eventually. But lately I don't even think they'll have that. No one would want it, unless they are into expensive space heaters?

With LiteCoin at an all time high in difficulty and trading for under $4 USD a coin; combined that with BTC dropping below $300 USD also at an all time difficulty high. It doesn't look good, that's for sure...
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 04, 2014, 04:26:29 AM
I just called PayPal and they would not refund the money.  I asked to escalate to Protection Service or Legal and they told me that I would have to send a subpoena to their legal department.  In order for them to give me a refund, I have to contact my credit card to get them to refund the money.

Better off contacting your CC, you could call PayPal again and probably get a totally different response. Their customers service is very hit or miss.

Well at least i've the option.

What about wire transfert ?  Do some of you guys did something about that ?

I know wire transfers are harder to reverse. They might be able to do something during the first 24 hours, in case it goes to the wrong account? If you get a court order granting you access to their funds, that's probably your only option at this point.  If they don't have the money to give you, you might be SOL. Assuming they emptied their bank accounts.
