61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to solve the problem of crypto hacks? on: October 12, 2018, 04:21:03 PM
Hacking is rife in any financial sector. And I would say cryptocurrency is subsceptible to hacks and leaks.
Cryptocurrency is decentralized, and exchanges (especially centralized ones) are the most prone to hacks.
This doesn't make crypto less secure. It's just like of anyone was allowed to open a bank and invite people to patronize them.
There would surely be breaches
62  Other / Meta / Re: What should we do if asking reply ICO ANN thread from external links ? on: October 10, 2018, 08:07:47 PM
I don't think they have to solicit for engagements here for mods and admins to take action.
If there is evidence, you can flag the thread and let them investigate. And I believe if discovered such threads would be trashed.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will South Korea become the World Bitcoin Special Zone? on: October 09, 2018, 01:44:21 PM
It's heart warming seeing a lot of countries waking up to the potential in cryptocurrency and it's numerous applications.
Even the Middle East is becoming a crypto hub. And a couple other nations would rival South Korea to that spot.
64  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Binance Conquered The Cryptocurrency World ? on: October 09, 2018, 01:33:39 PM
The product, they set up a platform which can support large volume and offer easy liquidity at a high scale.
The team also paid special attention to the custom token (BNB), and their periodic buy back has had positive effects on the price.
They have also shown foresight, after proposing moving to the decentralized field, which is where exchanges are heading.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin leverage Trading on: October 08, 2018, 12:18:53 PM
Leverage in trading should always be approached with reservation. Trading high above your means, usually pulls you out of a trade much faster.

Leverage moderately, a 1 - 100 leverage is standard, for me at least. The goal is protecting your capital and then making profits.

66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and privacy!!! on: October 08, 2018, 12:13:07 PM
I have never understood the emphasis on anonymity. Clandestine activate usually associated with illegal activities. And it's not like our data was street out before for everyone to see.
Decentralization was the main problem bitcoin and the blockchain was created to solve. And to ensure transparency, especially among miners, the transaction had to be open for all to see

The difficulty was public ledger that was accessible by everyone to go through. It contains all the private records. This unbolted the way for a lot of cyber hackers to extract information making it less secure. Also, anonymity was compromised due to the data leaks. Once identity is known of a Bitcoin user, anyone can go through his past and possible future transactions.

Leaks and hacks usually result from exchanges which are not well shielded from attacks.

67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will soon reach a reliable low, below which the price will not fall. on: October 07, 2018, 12:10:38 PM
$5800 has been the average support for bitcoin throughout 2018, and this is comparatively higher than previous years. And I see that bottom holding out for a while.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion on what they think the price would  in the future, but they are all speculations regardless of the source.
68  Other / Meta / Re: The things we need to put in considerations on: October 07, 2018, 12:04:45 PM
70% of the total number of bitcointalk users, I'm not talking about the newbies, are all in this forum for one goal, to make money, yes I love arguments you can bring it on, in as mush as it will yield good results at the end.

We all have out personal motives for joining the forum, and I can say 100% want to make money from the forum, directly (through bounties) or indirectly (learning and acquiring knowledge and them applying it into some other venture)

And trying to make money is not and should not be frowned upon, but abusing the forum in your quest is where the problem lies.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Digital currency and cryptocurrencies on: October 06, 2018, 06:45:08 PM
Cryptocurrency for me is a form of digital currency which is decentralized and provides anonymity to its holders. Hence it is tagged 'crypto'.
They are all forms of digital assets.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doubt the latest ICO on: October 06, 2018, 06:39:17 PM
Treat all ICOs as a potential scam, this way you ate always aware of the risks.
Consider the up and downsides.
It's best to go for projects supported by an already established and verifiable infrastructure.
Do your research and invest sparingly if at all in ICOs.
71  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammers on: October 06, 2018, 06:32:42 PM
As of now only DTs can give users red trusts, eating people to trade with caution.
But you can submit your report at the appropriate board for issues on the forum.

Avoid dealing with users who have received negative trusts, and always be on your guard and protect your assets.
72  Other / Meta / Re: [Merit Analysis] How many Merit received Top 200 and Top 400 on: October 05, 2018, 06:42:59 PM

As you can see from the charts, the percentage of ordinary users (almost 3%) who receive merit has increased. In addition, the amount of received Merit increased 22619.

I believe that is because the merit system was not a punishment, but rather a challenge to the previous spammers to contribute effectively to the growth of the forum and get rewarded.
Although am sure there was also an increase in merit abuse, but we have since seen improvement in the forum, particularly the bitcoin board.
And meta is also recovering from the earlier influx.
73  Economy / Exchanges / Re: IS BITFOREX A TRUSTED CRYPTO EXCHANGE? on: October 05, 2018, 06:36:45 PM
These days we have fewer exchanges which are totally credible and secure, free from hacking. A lot of them have been proven to not be as safe as they claim.
Bitforrex is a decent exchange, but I would only bank on a handful of exchanges at the moment, and it won't be on my list.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would ETF APPROVAL in early 2019 ever have positive influence in Bitcoin Price? on: October 05, 2018, 06:21:26 PM
Some group of people  has argued we will experience another high surge in Bitcoin Price early 2019 when ETF get approved  while some said ETF does not have any crucial role in influencing Bitcoin Price positively.

Bitcoin ETF approval would greatly increase adoption and would draw in investors of different scale.
But I doubt it would have any significant effect on the price, especially in the long-term scheme. Sustained price stability and consolidation of bitcoins value is one of the goals of the asset, and ETF wouldn't accelerate that.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Payment processors :-< on: October 05, 2018, 06:15:05 PM
Even ICO projects which accepts payment in top cryptocurrency like bitcoin and Ethereum also convert it to fiat to clear their overhead. Although it's quite different as the accept other forms of payment as opposed to the bitcoin payment processor used by merchants. They are understandably trying to avoid the fluctuation problem.

It also gives you an opportunity to make purchases offline with bitcoin.
And people woupdnbe be interested in the sign at the door, so it's a form of publicity. It is just a small step in the right direction.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect your funds on: October 04, 2018, 01:22:53 PM
NOTE:💥👌

Sometimes you can find you'a late from the Buying zones recommended,..don't panic wait for its correction then enter especially if the targets are not reached!!

There is many chances in the trades if the market is promising!!

Don't jump to the trade that have arisen for more than 5% because its initial take profit for Whales!!

Learn to Protect your capital!!
Let's trade safely!!

Actual market speculation doesn't depend on the current chart. A trader can go for a coin long before it shows any positive movements, using technical and foundamental analysis.

A fast follower can also pick up a trend and make profit from it.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Futures Trading Investment and Physical Coins on: October 04, 2018, 01:13:35 PM
The world is undergoing digitalization, and shifting from physical notes, even in fiat.
And cryptocurrency which should be at the helm of the innovation doesn't need physical notes.
The adoption of cryptocurrency debit cards would go a long way in taking this technology mainstream.

P. S. It is against forum rules to make two consecutive posts. You can edit it u to the previous one or use the quote option.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Almost 12 months of Bear Market .Is there any better future a head? on: October 03, 2018, 10:21:36 PM
The surge of 2017, has put a lot of expectations in bitcoin. And comparing any market situation with that would make it look like we have made limited progress over the course of the year.
With all issues, with regulations, social media restrictions, bitcoin ETF rejection, we have still had some purple patches. This is the reality of bitcoin we have to get used to. Till we get to the next phase.
79  Other / Meta / Re: [MERIT][NSFN] We're destroying more merits than we're sending. Like, way more. on: October 02, 2018, 09:07:38 PM
Most of them woupdnbe have been banned for engaging in unethical behaviour, in an attempt to rank up.
I've always wondered, could we have a scenario where only merit sources have smerits to give out?
If other users exhaust theirs, and it is prone to diminish, as each merit creates half it's value in smerits.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN VALUE INDICATOR SAYS PRICE ‘STILL OVERBOUGHT’ BUT BOTTOM ‘NEAR’ on: October 02, 2018, 09:03:21 PM
Considering the amount of capital needed to set up a mining right, with the increases difficulty over the years and reduced rewards for completing blocks. I don't think bitcoin is overpriced. This intrinsic value, coupled with it's unique and versatile applications gives it a certain worth, and I feel it is rather undervalued now.
