61  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [See first post for information] Bitcoins Direct - Private off exchange sales on: January 01, 2013, 01:59:26 PM
Any update on this service?
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin BillPay? on: December 27, 2012, 03:27:32 PM
I'm not sure if there's a demand for this service, since bank billpay is pretty easy and free.

There is plenty of demand. If I have bitcoins and need to pay my gas/water/electric/whatever bill, then I either need a BTC billpay service, or I need to convert BTC to fiat, get that into my bank, then use the bank bill pay. I would much rather pay 1.5% for someone to accept BTC and pay my bill rather than either take a lot of time to get money in my bank, or pay 1.5% and have to do a bit of leg work to get BTC into cash, then that cash deposited.

69  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: November 25, 2012, 02:31:38 PM
Better than going to the state.

Maybe in theory but not in practice.
Name one person who has gotten bitcoins back from going to the state ?

Name one person who has gotten their bitcoins back from a scammer otherwise. Anyway sorry for taking this off topic.

So nefario is a scammer, and I was able to get my coins back from him.

Lowered asking price to $550 each.
71  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 BFL singles on: November 25, 2012, 02:09:50 PM
Why would someone buy used hardware at $0.74/Mhs when they can get a new Jalapeno for $0.03/Mhs?

because these still have their trade-in value, and you cant buy a jalapeno now and have it within a few days.

75  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL ASIC very early pre-order #1674 4-5x Singles 60GH/s on: November 22, 2012, 02:41:33 PM
There is still some Single?

Yes. the auction is still running and will end near the beginning of December. Please place a bid for however many you are interested in, and the price you are willing to pay for each ASIC. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=126599.0

If you are asking for the FPGA single, and not the ASIC pre-order, I still have two available here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=125395.0

1) Where will you ship from?

2) It seems your pre-order is an upgrade. BFL said that before shipping out SCs to upgrading customers, they will wait to receive either the FPGAs, or a temporary coin deposit. Which will you do? This affects delivery speed, hence the value of your auction.

1) I'll ship from Virginia 22153. I'll use USPS priority mail, or whatever the winner feels like paying for. Local pickup is also an option.

2) BFL also said they would contact upgrade customers a week before their orders are ready. I plan to ship my units back once I receive this 1 week notice. I will also be using expedited shipping from BFL to me. https://forums.butterflylabs.com/showthread.php/116-Trade-Ins-Notice-of-sending-back-FPGA-Singles?p=2151&viewfull=1#post2151
77  Economy / Securities / Re: GOOD NEWS! GLBSE is sending out shareholders data on: November 20, 2012, 10:51:44 PM
So if gigamining got their asset info on the 19th, its almost the 21st now, has anyone received asset info yet? Wasn't GLBSE going to release info for 3 or 4 assets per day?

79  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] BFL ASIC very early pre-order #1674 4-5x Singles 60GH/s on: November 20, 2012, 06:47:11 PM
I just got word that BFL will not split an order to ship it multiple places, so I did a strike-through of that option in the original listing.

Sounds like should be in auctions? as your not selling for a firm price?

Excellent point. When I looked in auctions, there doesn't seem to be any computer hardware listed. Also, several others seem to have a very similar listing to this selling pre-orders at a non-fixed price. If a mod wants to move it, I have no issue with that though.
