61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are too many ICO, why? on: November 03, 2018, 08:14:42 PM
Because it is profitable, as simple as that, even if an ICOs is not successful, can produce an excellent profit for their creators, and if they are successful, the profit can be even greater, so you see so many unusable ICOs at every moment, because no matter if they didn't get enough money for the roadmap, a couple of whales investing money there is more than enough for it to be worth the effort.

62  Other / Archival / Re: The Founder of Bitcoin on: November 02, 2018, 07:01:38 PM
These last few months I've tried to read all the information I could about Satoshi, since his creation, bitcoin, seems to be simply amazing, and I think it will revolutionize the world, from what I've read, I think his reason for disappearing, was that the project was becoming very dependent on him, many collaborators saw him as a deity, and they didn't make any movement without his approval, so I think from their point of view, the project was centralizing, which was against their own philosophy.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think we're deviating from bitcoin's philosophy? on: November 02, 2018, 06:38:48 PM
It is complicated though, I dont think most members of the forum have access to the forum or have had the chance to read the bitcoin whitepaper.
If someone is going to put their money into some new project they should read the whitepaper. Although bitcoin has become so popular, yet it is true that many people never actually read the original whitepaper of bitcoin before buying it or supporting it. But that did also shape the basis of starting other projects based on ICOs.

I believe their deviation from the core vision of bitcoin as speculated by Satoshi is merely due to ignorance.
There literally has been no deviation. This thread has become a shitposting tavern like the thousand other threads in this section.

I dont think people are intentionally deviating from  bitcoin's philosophy hence we need more education on the whitepaper.
Education of whitepaper does not make any sense. We should propose that people do read the whitepaper and understand the philosophy better. However not everyone's acumen is the same. Cheesy

As most posts in the forum, but well, who can blame them, the system is designed to practically reward shitposting (I do not exclude myself) at least we got some good insights and useful information, and of course the whitepaper is simple enough for a person who knows how to enter websites to understand it, it is not even necessary to understand the part of the cryptography, which for me is the most complicated one. To learn to understand the concept and the need who created bitcoin is more than enough.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge is needed on: November 01, 2018, 07:38:52 PM
Sometimes it is impressive with so much information that we have at our disposal, that some newbies make mistakes that many already made before them, for example I would hope to learn from those mistakes, and try not to make them again, but again and again they demonstrate their eagerness in sinking into this ecosystem without the necessary tools, and almost always ends badly.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: November 01, 2018, 07:14:17 PM
In this bear market maybe investing in alts is not the best idea, because many times they receive stronger waves from bitcoin, so any movement that makes bitcoin the alts feel it for 10x, of course, this goes to both sides, so if you had invested in the right alt, you could also have an 80% profit, remember that the market always goes to both sides, while some alts lose, others win.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass Bounty hunter or Full time crypto trader on: October 31, 2018, 05:36:12 PM
Both are very good options if you want to make a living with cryptos, although if I wanted to do something official, I would go for full-time crypto trader, of course, it is a little more complicated and you need certain skills in economics and finance, so I would only do it if I was really committed to the project, as you will probably lose a lot of money before you start making good money.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do now on: October 31, 2018, 05:24:26 PM
It is difficult to know in which position you are, because you are not giving us a lot of information, everything will depend on the urgency with which you need the money, if you need money right now, the best thing you can do is sell, at least the coins you do not see with much future, however if you do not mind waiting until the end of the year to recover your investment, I would recommend you to do hodl.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth going strong on: October 30, 2018, 05:48:44 PM
For now, but next week may go down enormously again, cryptos are very volatile, even ethereum that has the support of the utility and technology is presenting many erratic behaviors, we could say it is for the bear market, but really do not know how true that is, the only thing we can do for now is hodl and see what happens.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency VS Traditional Financial system on: October 30, 2018, 05:42:32 PM
Not at all, the only thing I think cryptos need to be a competition to the traditional financial system is mass adoption, I've been trying to talk to different people and giving introductions to cryptos and teaching them to use exchanges and there are still people who believe that bitcoin is for the rich because you need to buy 1 whole bitcoin, they still have a little difficulty understanding the use of decimals and that needs to be improved.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the market on: October 29, 2018, 10:37:08 PM
Of course, in the end, I think that should be our endgame too, that finally cryptos replace the financial system or serve as an alternative, but it is difficult with everyone waiting for a bear market or a bull run.

How do you expect a bull run if no one feeds the bull? The last big bull run we had was because the mass where interested in it. If for example a economic crash would occur people might switch to bitcoin due safer investment ( or not just an example) then you can expect that btc and other currencies will go to mars and stay there.

I think that I didn't expressed myself well enough, I am not waiting for the bull run, I know well enough that it is something totally improbable, because for a bull run to happen has to enter new money in the market, which I doubt very much that happens magically at the end of the year, what I'm explaining is that it is difficult to adopt en masse when everyone is hoarding their tokens waiting for the next bull run.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think we're deviating from bitcoin's philosophy? on: October 29, 2018, 10:24:51 PM
I think we are putting a lot of confidence in the common citizen, remember that there are many companies and whales that manipulate the market behind the scenes, what I fear is that powerful whales behind bitcoin, never let it stabilize and it became always a currency that is used for speculation, something that would be really regrettable for such a promising technology.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the market on: October 26, 2018, 12:38:11 AM
I think the Reformers will certainly cause some problems in development as they stimulate the developing market but are still too fragile. And its price in the future will still fluctuate: it will still be an adventure to the wilderness.

^

Also the majority of the people should use bitcoin or some other crypto currency it needs to go in circulation otherwise it will remain stable (for a while) Japan is ahead of the mass, they know if the rest of the world start using crypto’s their crypto’s start having more value. THEY ALREADY USING IT

Of course, in the end, I think that should be our endgame too, that finally cryptos replace the financial system or serve as an alternative, but it is difficult with everyone waiting for a bear market or a bull run.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the market on: October 26, 2018, 12:36:16 AM
Honestly, what do you think will happen with the market? no matter how positive I want to be, I think that lot of people (myself included) were waiting for the bull run to start this month, but we're already at 25 and there's still no movement, I think we should be thankful that btc hasn't continued to drop, but many projections have fallen apart when we're almost entering November and nothing of the bull run, what do you think will happen with the market at the end? we're finally seeing the beginnings of a stabilization? our goal should be mass adoption now that prices are stable?

I believe the prices of bitcoin are not stable yet, since there are still bitcoins that needs to be mined; increasing the scarcity of the coin.

Of course but I think that if we wait for all the bitcoin to be mined, with the added difficulty we are going to wait a long time, I say it relatively, because it is the first time that I see the price of bitcoin in a range of $200 or $300 for two months in a row.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think we're deviating from bitcoin's philosophy? on: October 26, 2018, 12:33:19 AM
I don't think it has deviated from its original purpose, even if people seem to only recognize its potential for profit.
I believe bitcoin and other methods of decentralization  are meant to give people more freedom, and financial freedom also fits the bill.

Associating something with extraordinary profit a great strategy to get people attracted to something and grow its use.
The next step is to use the same technology that made bitcoin possible, blockchain, to redesign society to allow for freedom in all its forms, not just financial.

The extraordinary profit of Bitcoin in early 2018 attracted a huge number of people to the crypto market, making many poor. Many of them didn't even understand what kind of technology it was and why they were unlucky. Therefore, I think everyone should understand the technology before investing money.

Yeah, that's my opinion as well, luckily information is spreading around more than ever, and we have tons of youtube tutorials/blogs and even this forum to learn what we want to know about the blockchain and cryptos, sadly people always is gonna fall for the greed trap, but I hope that they have learned their lesson by now.

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If the society rejected to use crypto currencies? on: October 25, 2018, 11:34:26 PM
I think as part of society, I am seeing more and more acceptance, so for me is a scenario difficult to imagine, before many believed that this was a ponzi scam, but quickly realize that it is not so, because you do not really spend any money if you do not want, I simply use bitcoin to make transactions and when I demonstrate that type of use case, people around me are quite amazed.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are you gonna do? on: October 25, 2018, 11:24:09 PM
I'm not really expecting anything, not to disappoint me, I think the market will be quite stable in the coming months, and if the bull run isn't happening, I'm very sorry to the people who bought in ATH, but what can be done, this is the type of high-risk investment that we're talking about a lot.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron TRX ethereum killer? on: October 24, 2018, 09:06:43 PM
Practically every month, some alt comes out of nowhere calling itself the ethereum/bitcoin killer, and we've been around for 8 years and that hasn't happened... the same thing they said about litecoin and look where it is now, of course, that doesn't mean they're bad coins, but they just don't reach the height of those titans.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam projects, what should we do! on: October 24, 2018, 08:58:19 PM
So far there are no regulations implemented for that, but we can do something as a community, we can try to help new investors up to good and useful currencies and not try to trick them into losing their money in the shitcoin that we are in by mistake ...
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters are Destroying the System, How can we Deal with them? on: October 23, 2018, 07:39:40 PM
I think that is already a problem that has to be tackled as a community, it is very difficult to do something individually with those cheaters, the most you can do is denounce them to the bounty managers and provide them with all the necessary assistance to take action on the matter.
