Is there an estimate of when UNITY will be sent out?
within a day of the end of funding, unless we get unexpected delays

thanks james, get some rest! Smiley

WOW east, this is not something we just jump into based on one person's whims. There would have to be a lot of discussion with the community and further discussion with James. He has said so much that there will only be allowed a narrow, yet strong core of cryptocurrenices he is going to allow to be a part of that supernet syndicate, yet to my knowledge has not told us what the qualifying parameters are and will be necessary by those interested coins that want to be a part of and use the "services", etc of the Supernetwork.

James loosely goes into a bit of his thinking/musing on it here:
http://www.jl777.org/supernet/

I stand corrected, James has added more details:
http://www.jl777.org/supernet-information-for-prospective-volunteers/

Official website:
http://thesupernet.org/

More of a formalized "White Paper"
http://www.weebly.com/uploads/3/8/5/6/38564127/supernet.pdf
(I've personally yet to read through this and as such maybe Shawn has further insight as just how our relationship can benefit from being amongst the accepted member coins in the Supernet....as well as how Karma could help the Supernet (they help us....we help them...type of relationship).

Be that as it may, I think when the time comes that we have further details of the Karma roadmap we all brainstorm on further and loosely agree to, well maybe at that time we can more responsibly compare the benefits of association of Karma with the Supernet VS our 100% OWN Karma roadmap independent of any other coin or network.

Although I TRULY would like to see "Karma go it alone" and be the powerhouse coin I think it can become all on it's own withOUT networking with other coins, devs and networks, that doesn't preclude myself personally from being open minded to associations that could be a win win relationship for Karma coin.

Let us further investigate what James is orchestrating as the conductor of this "SuperNet" as well as iron out further details on our own coin's roadmap......and then compare the two and discern if their are more irreconcilable differences in partaking in the Supernetwork or if in fact we have more in common and should deeply consider the association.

Good Karma to everyone investing, mining, promoting, etc Karma!!

Yeah Shawn, I'm starting to see more and more positive buzz on this around the forums.
Thanks for contacting James as well as clarifying things with him several weeks ago (ahead of the cover you were).

This is the next evolution in crypto.  Please consider this for Karma's future survival.  That's all the time I have to just drop this here or I would explain more.  This is what I proposed back here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=579973.msg8304198#msg8304198 It's now called SuperNET.

Bests!

SL

mouseman can you please do whatever is needed regarding this option for Karma?

Good stuff.   Please read about this in my link to the Supernet bitcointalk thread.  I personally believe that PoW (aside from BTC and LTC) is dead.    The cost of mining for bitcoin is justified, but for other coins I don't think its a good model to clone anymore.  Adapt, advance, progress, or die.

So the market list of Mintpal v2 is released. And im proud to see Karma is on it!!
They will start with a btc only pairing at opening, so i hope we are able to make karma grow to a 1 satoshi buy atleast! So our volume doesn't get killed.

Im excited for the moolah takeover, might atract many new traders to mintpal.

btc only for Karm.. this is not good... there will be no liquidity.... where did you see that? Shocked

Agreed, if they are planning on removing our LTC market, hello Cryptsy.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Karma World Cup 2014 Final Update on: September 02, 2014, 05:03:06 PM
Greetings,

We raised a total of 10,003,764.5467 KARMA during the Karma World Cup charity pool for the Street Child World Cup.  I was waiting to sell the Karma and transfer the donation in fiat and the price of Karma has not been cooperating  So, instead, I simply purchased the Karma today by giving a donation of 25 GBP sterling ($41.27 USD) and will transfer the Karma to my personal wallet.

Currently at 87 Litoshi, the remaining 10,003,764.5467 was worth $40.76741

Here is the donation completed today.

Transaction ID for movement from Karma World Cup wallet to my personal funds.

Thanks again for everyone who played. A big thanks again to Javi who built that beautiful site.  We will have to do it again next World Cup 2018!  Maybe do a Rugby World Cup next? Smiley

Best regards,
Shawn

Maybe we should focus on being a solid next gen crypto currency rather than trying to be a crowdsourcing incubator?

keep voting on https://bter.com/voting.
I've registered there, but it requires 104 BTR to vote. How can I acquire those BTR?

You have to trade with Chinese fiat to gain BTR.  Just buying and selling back and forth to bitcoin doesn't do it.

hope BTER just defaults on the NXT and pays out all amount owing before closing.

Why are people still keeping coins on the exchanges?  Its like no one ever learns from the past?  A broken record keeps skipping and playing the same verse over and over again.  Obviously we couldn't remove our Crypti so not pointing fingers at any of us, but the NXTers should know Bter.  I'm a big NXT fan and now wasn't the time to be selling anyway, do feel bad for their losses but hopefully they won't leave crypto on an exchange.  Everyone has to realize that 24/7 someone is trying to steal coins off the exchange you have your coins at right now.  Its a guarantee.

Thinking outside the box a little on this one, but still wanted to share and get some feedback.  I have been a supporter/investor in NXT since last December.  They have a great community of very passionate devs and watching them develop NXT over the past nine months reminds me of what Bitcointalk used to be back in the Satoshi days (when I go back and read those threads, I wasnt there).  Anyway, there is a movement inside NXT to try and "help" other coins that want to add more robustness to their current platform.  Its very much the approach of say and Intel Inside campaign, but instead, its a Nxt Powered or Nxt Inside.  This wouldn't involve burning of any Karma coins or anything destructive to our current X11 or blockchain.  This would be essentially a merging of wallets and creating better access to features not available within Karma, but could be easily with a partnership with Nxt.

Recently we have seen Doge finally partnering with Litecoin for merge mining.   Redd has been tweaking their PoSv or what have you in hopes of continuing the fight.  My idea is just a concept at this point, and something I cannot claim to have thought of.  Recently it was mentioned here https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=85.msg78710#msg78710

I initially thought that this would mean we would have to burn Karma coins to partner with Nxt, so I contacted James to see what a partnership with would entail, and here was his reply:

"There is no need to burn anything!
I am working on modifying the standard NXT GUI, ok longzai is, to allow it to be reskinned and automatically link a bitcoin type address to a NXT address.
So, all you should need to do is:
1) Add a button to QT to open webpage to 127.0.0.1:7876 and maybe we can even make it automatically login

Now the user is seeing a NXT type GUI, but reskinned to your coin. Also, NXTservices like Teleport, InstantDEX, tradebots, Privatebet, etc. will be easily accessible. I am making it so that people that run nodes will get dividends proportional to the business they bring in. So, your coin can get all the NXT 2.0 features by rebranding NXT and bundling it and your coin holders can earn dividends for getting all these new features.

Pretty cool, dont you think?

James"

Anyway, just wanted to throw this out there.  I feel like Karma needs a little help at this point to make this ship take off again.  At first it would appear to help Nxt more than it would us, but unless we are satisfied with just being a Litecoin clone, we need to make some serious gameplans and execute in the coming months to survive.

https://bter.com/voting

you can vote for NODE on bter, NOW!

You don't get listed on bter through voting.....

Let the devs contact BTER and pay them off, it is not expensive...

you can vote on BTER but you need to be a fiat trader in order to gain points to get with.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - Official Discussion Thread! Distributing the coins! on: August 08, 2014, 03:17:23 PM
NxT hasn't it even recovered to the $80-$110 million capitalization it had in early 2014 and you think it will hit $1.

NxT is slowly dropping to $40 million and could hypothetically return to the $20 million it was back in April.  Even on the NxT official forum, in their price speculation thread, people there aren't bullish and are concerned about whether the coin has a future due to a lack of new users coming in (the culprit they claim is most people are scared off by NxT's distribution, which is rightly so).

I completely disagree.  You couldn't actually be more wrong.  Do you even read the that thread?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - Official Discussion Thread! Distributing the coins! on: August 08, 2014, 02:58:50 AM
...
I have to agree. When looking through the membership of NODE, NEM, NAS, and several others, I notice that the majority appears to be held by NXT holders. I doubt they would even exist except for the support by people who primarily hold NXT.

I don't own any NXT because of fail distribution and fail volume at this market cap for me...

That is why i am in Node  and NEM i believe there is more people like me.
I just waited monet when such coin will appear to get some of them.
I believe that NXT is not ultimate solution just i want wait NODE and NEM get live and to see how will be.

volume / marketcap - parameter looks vs NXT

Then future of development since both of them are not NXT clones just competitors in POS field
probably many POS owners feel same as me that NXT distribution left some deficiency - this is very important factor.

Let those coins go live and then we can discuss about who s using and buying those coins.

I got my NXT the same way I got my NEM and my NAS. I bought all of them – self distribution. NODE has been a little different. Those that complain about the distribution of NXT are free to buy; it is dirt cheap at the moment. So you missed the boat for NXT, big deal. So did I.  Some people were born with a lot of $ and making decisions based on that bit of injustice doesn’t make a lot of sense either. The current distribution of NXT is substantially better than that of BTC with a 5 year head start and I really don’t see anyone complaining about that. What I don’t like is to see ANY of my investments being trashed – particularly on a board of one of my other investments. NXT has a head start and it is yet to be seen what NODE can do but I am rooting for it - as are many in the NXT community.

$1/Nxt soon, a $1B Market cap for NXT in the coming year.

Is there any progress for Node on an exchange?

I think the fan logo looks great. The three parts united into one also hides the secret of how POI is calculated Wink

this is very nice
