61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ☆☆ [ANN] Saturncoin [SAT] - on: March 17, 2014, 09:17:25 AM
Yeah  I've spent most of the day looking up on wiki and others about Saturn to try and piece some idea's together for slogans etc.
Let me tell you its bloody hard!
But on the mythological side because Saturn (planet) is named after the Italian God Saturn. It is quite interesting. He was the first God of the Capitol and their are lots of words tossed in about social egalitarianism under Saturn's rule. And we all know we want that Capitalization to go up!  Grin
In ancient times he was Saturnius Mons, and was seen as a god of generation, dissolution, plenty, wealth, agriculture, periodic renewal and liberation.
I had no idea that Saturday was made from Saturn!

Yeah I know you's aint stupid but here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_(mythology)

You guys use the app bitcoin checker? All night I was listening to the prices lol!

Thankyou for your reply.

Oh I didn't mean I thought it was Saturncoins slogan, I did mention it was generic, but yes you also understand the cross contamination with those other coins. Sorry I'm just respectful to my team I play for.

I seriously like bling rings though...lol very funny and smart!

Couldn't agree with you more about the development team coming together. Personally atm I am full time keeping my rigs stable. They are so finicky. Unfortunately I live in the tropics and heat is a major factor here.
But as soon as I get the time, I will input more than just comments. I have a natural ability to think what others are attracted too, probably because Im getting old lol, but I also know the more minds involved the more ideas and the better the outcome because its impossible to think of everything. We are only human after all.

Its so weird this business!! In its infancy and so young. But I only wish their was some Foundation etc for the licencing of new coins.
All these new coins hitting the markets are causing price drops across all but the biggest Doge/Litecoin.
Its getting ridiculous! And yes I know Saturncoin is new also, but at least it hasn't some stupid cartoon picture and the members seem pretty wise. It also has a great name that grows on you.
Flappycoin...OMG....

If only I could look into the future.....
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ☆☆ [ANN] Saturncoin [SAT] - on: March 17, 2014, 05:31:25 AM
Surely we can come up with a motto thats better than "too the moon", because that implies doge or mooncoin to me.
I know its a generic saying but seriously it sounds something like a little kid would say, or a Chinese dogecoin supporter.

That's what I hate about mining scrypt. The forums are 75% full of newbies talking like they have all this valid experience on what is happening with price or what is going to happen. O dude where's my chuck bag?
This is all a new precedent across all coins, no-one has a clue what will happen, and believing its going to super big is just ridiculous. You want stability, a fair price, and something unique or being implemented soon enough. Quit dreaming big $$$, seriously u sound stupid! Positive vibes are good, but over doing it looks lame!

Their are too many new coins diluting any form of regular participation that was being established / already established. And if that isn't bad enough their are dev's moving in on so called dead coins and screwing with systems in place with no idea that the so called "dead coin", doesn't mean its dead! Their are many of us miners supporting coins that aren't in the top 50 and have been regularly getting by with enough profit to pay their power bills. Until these whack job dev's have come in and screwed the systems in place.

Also crapping on how you sold us out at 10 satoshi is just rubbing salt into the wound. I brought a Million at 10 and brought another million at 9. I am mining it with over 8M/hs so I am totally supporting this coin! But when I read comments like that because I'm not a panic seller makes me realize their are very few of us that are really in this for the long run!

So far the work being done here is good, but its not enough! The utube clip, why does it not have like transitions or pop ups telling you stats about the coin. Its a great song but so boring to watch and gave no education whatsoever. Think hard people! If its possible?? Im old school, Im 40 and I am so glad I was born when I was, because most, that is MOST not all, of todays kids are a bit lost on group dynamics and sale psychology.

Anyway, Im not going anywhere and us true supporters let crank this up a level! Lets get some plans with dates on the agenda!

Also to the saturncoin dev, I would like to know a lot more about you, your experience, your level of education and seriously are you doing this on your own or somebody else has handballed you the basics and your just hoping it pans out?

Regards to all Saturnsupporters!
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: March 17, 2014, 04:27:26 AM
No somebody is totally screwing with it and has stuffed something with it!

The new self appointed "takeover dev" mat5x who has NO permission whatsoever to touch it, also has not replied to any of my PM's!
From what I gather reading his "stuff all" posts on this forum, he seriously has no idea what he's doing, and has took it upon himself that he can just walk in and takeover elacoin.

This is BS, I have been supporting/mining this coin for over 3 months!!! I know all coins are down across the board since a week after MT Gox shut down, but I have never seen elacoin drop to the prices they are at now. This has been the most stable coin I have ever mined, that's why I put my money and equipment into it.
What Im trying to say is that the context of his last comments were basically saying he was going to mess with the algo. What the fuck for, I have no idea! Again who is this idiot???
Well about 3-4 days after that was posted my mining quota that I get, because remember I've been mining it for 3 months suddenly dried up!!!

I cannot even begin to tell you how frustrating this is!! I have spent over 5K on equipment and have had a good return from mining eleacoin, only to have this total stranger and newbie walk in and stuff up all I have done.
This is total BS. I am quickly losing all interest for anything to do with mining whatsoever and advocating to others to stay away!
I have never read so much BS from daydreamers in my life! I finally got a system worked out that pays my electricity bill and some fucking noob comes in and destroys it!
This is fucked!

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to REsync blockchain info to Bitcoin QT aagin? on: March 16, 2014, 01:37:01 PM
Ok I tried both ways and neither worked, the missing transactions did not show up???
I don't know if this is a major bug or I have a bad copy??
I have now deleted the %appdata% bitcoin folder, reinstalled bitcoin, ran once for 10 seconds, then replaced with my "spend" wallet.data
It is still slowly syncing....but I believe it will find them this time with a full resync.

Any idea why your methods didn't work?
thx

67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How to REsync blockchain info to Bitcoin QT aagin? on: March 16, 2014, 10:38:47 AM
Hi I have a problem with my wallet.

I took some advise on storing your wallet.dat file off your pc and something has gone wrong.
Basically you cut your wallet.dat file and store it off your pc and restart bitcoin qt that gives you a new wallet.
You keep that new wallet synced with bitcoin, with the zero amount and swap back in your "real account if you wish to purchase ect.

Well Im missing two payments, but they show up on the blockchain so I know they were sent, but my original wallet is not showing these payment when swapped??

So, how do I reupload the blockchain info to my "spend wallet and get those payments synced properly?
Is the only way to do it by keeping my spend wallet and reinstalling bitcoin qt all over again, and replacing my "spend wallet" back into the new program?

thx

I think I'll hold for a while longer.  : )

LOL, dump away - your in for a rude shock!

Just an update the network switch did nothing....
It was the pool https://peercoin.ecoining.com all along.
This caused some major headaches I can tell you, but changed pool and NO dropouts whatsoever.
Switch come in handy after all, as I brought some Mercury's. Grin

Good the elephants trunk is up. Some people listened.....
But I still say the elephant is a poor representation of Karma, I hope #166 wins.
Closet thing to the endless knot Ive seen.

My minimum standard is 60 days ROI.

@cryptowho

Thankyou I value your comment immensely! You speak wisely.
So wtf is going on? Where is the regulation to stop all these dumb coins hitting the market? (dumb question) Why on earth are exchanges accepting them? Is the community turning soft, is its only vote of confidence in your support of a coin? Because that doesn't even add up as Karma seems well supported. This is a long term investment I gather, but how long? Are the pools to blame?? I don't see how, as its the individuals choice to dump or not. Please fill me in on pool dumps or anything you know as it is highly appreciated. PM if you want!
I'd like to agree with you that only coins that have meaning will survive, as I am drawn to logical things not rubbish, but their is no precedent here that will be the case.
And like any human, hope is what keeps us going. And seriously I hope Karma does survive and one day flourish because their are some nice people around here.
I guess I came in at the wrong angle and I still am learning ok. But my moan is because I have flipped all coins mined so far except Karma.
I am not delusional, I don't expect to be a millionaire! But what I do expect is ROI at minimum, hence my moan mining for Karma for 4 days and receiving nothing in over 1.5 weeks of trade.
I think the people getting defensive with what I write don't have serious money tied up in mining equipment. When you take this job full time, theirs a lot of minimum requirements just to break even.
Getting paid, so I can pay my powerbill  is the minimum, getting ROI is next!
So yeah Im bashing the coin not moving, not the community!
