We are now closing the poll! We clearly have a winner regarding the donation amount. Every block mined will generate a 10% donation to the charity fund. This change will come in effect on block 20400, approximately 11 days from today. Thanks for participating!

I just changed my miners over.... Some more people need to do it as well. It isn't good for the coin to have so much in one pool. Besides the fact, http://ccc.poolerino.com has no fees It isn't a major problem, it only becomes a problem if an unscrupulous mining pool owner decides to create a fork. Since hashaxe is run by a very nice guy "MatthewLM" who is in fact part of our community and a true asset to CharityCoin I wouldn't fear of such a thing happening. We, the pool owners never "create" a fork. You can fork a coin if you solve to much blocks in to short time, so that you build the actual chain. Its no problem is its 1 or 2 blocks, but if you are ahead of all the other pools / solo miners, then you forked the coin. This has nothing to do with the pool or its owner. Poolerino.com is responsible enough to close down new registrations as soon the coin reaches 50% pool-hashrate / nethashrate for a longer period of time. When reaching 60% we usual put a mining fee of 2% in to reduce the amount of miners When reaching 70% 10% fee kicks in 80% we normaly close down the pool for some time. Greetings Mike Great information Mike. The risk will diminish as soon as we get some more pools going. I have noticed that Bored's p2p pool has not been used. I invite you all to try it for better distribution of hashrate. Meanwhile we will work into getting a feel more pools for CharityCoin.

Hi Everyone We would like to apologize for the use of the CCC acronym. It was a honest mistake, as we learnt about ChocoCoin after the launch after a message warning us about it. From that moment we planned to make the change before it would hit the exchanges. A new name was chosen and we are now CharityCoin CHA. I want to thank you all for being so gracious about it and I hope ChocoCoin will do great in the exchanges! All the best The CharityCoin team

Want to put it out there publicly that AllCrypt.com would be happy to handle the conversion of CHA to BTC and assist in the donation. All fee free, of course. A basic tenet of AllCrypt.com is charitable contributions.
If the dev would like to contact me, and if he is interested, I'd love to help. The only roadblock is making sure there's a market for the coin. CharityCoin doesnt do a charity any good if they cannot turn it into fiat to pay for the services they provide. Thats where the community comes in - promotes it, makes it's mission known, and gets the coin out there and profitable to trade. Only then is it worth fiat and can help the "outside world".
bitcoin100.org is a great resource for connecting with crypto accepting charities as well.
Thanks for it. we sent you a PM. We agree with you that we will soon need a CHA/Fiat exchange. That would facilitate in getting the masses to donate to those charities. It seems that a great community is on the works. There's been people messaging us and volunteering. Others are doing their best to spread the word. We will fully engage in promoting CharityCoin as soon as the re-brand is complete and we are positive it will grow rapidly. Thanks for the link , we will get in touch with some of those charities.

Hi Marty Just wanted to give you a shout and thank you for the effort in promoting CharityCoin. I noticed you also have been in contact with the Swisscex Exchange regarding adding this coin and I am sure it helped a lot in getting them to add us.

As previously mentioned in earlier posts we would like to know from the miners and community their thoughts about the donation amount. Is 5% enough to make an impact in helping charities and causes? Should this be raised? Please vote in the poll above.

Twisted is putting a lot of effort in re-branding this coin. Like we envisioned from the beginning, this coin needs a collective effort from the community to achieve its goals. If you would like to volunteer and be part of this team, please send us a PM. Thanks to Mike from Poolerino for the support and getting the Swisscex exchange to add us and to Coinmeister for securing the subreddit!

Hi Everyone
With the upcoming change of Cancercurecoins' identity which now is Charity Coin, we have been considering, before we begin heavily promoting it, to make as many changes necessary to benefit Charity Coin and feel this is the best time to do so before the coin really takes off.
One of the changes we have been discussing is the total supply of coin which currently stands at only 100 million coins. With its new and broader goal to expand our reach to all types of charities, it seems that the existing maximum supply would not be enough to meet Charity Coins' future demand and would like to ask the community what it thinks the maximum limit should be.
Secondly we would like to know from the miners their thoughts about the donation amount. Is 5% enough to make an impact in helping these charities? Should this be raised?
These questions were raised amongst the team behind Charity Coin and since we believe the mining community is the pillar of this Currency we decided to ask you all for your input so please lets discuss these and any other suggestions and take action so we can ensure a successful and meaningful currency.

Oh my god, that's a crap exchange, almost zero activity and very few uses it. Had a nightmare using that exchange. Not many buyers are going to buy there, hence no point selling CCC at a very low price. Seriously you need to get onto Poloniex, coinmarket, cryptsy. We agree. Right now we are contacting the most reputable exchanges and it shouldn't be long until they add us. We had to halt promotion so we could rename the coin as there was not much sense in advertising it as it is. A lot of things will happen this week and the popularity of this coin will increase very soon.

Is there need for another xchange ? Poolerino.com is working tight with swisscex.com, sadly also not high volumes there. Mintpal and Coinmarket accepts new listing against small btc payments. Maybe worth a try ? Meanwhile, mine at ccc.poolerino.com 0% fee - live chat - fast payouts. Thanks for the suggestions Mike! We will try and get CCC in those exchanges. Now that a new name has been chosen, we just need a couple of days to re-brand and we will push hard to promote this Coin.

Thank you all for your great suggestions and support in the new name and branding thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=479486.20It looks like we have a winner, with 3 votes in the poll and at least 5 votes in the thread itself CharityCoin wins. Stay tuned for our new website and branding coming soon.

We gathered a good amount of names. Please place a vote in the poll above!

The voting was extended by one extra day. This will allow more people to get involved and will ensure the choice of a name most people will support.

no exchange for this?
We are working hard to have this coin in an exchange soon!

Nice show Marty! We will keep listening to it from now on! We hope CCC will hit the exchanges soon and all the coins you got can help Crypto for Kids. Thanks!!! I have to come up with a way of describing crypto to the masses!!! Some people were very confused. It is a new concept and it should take sometime to explain it, but you did a great job with the time you had. There are no many people talking about Altcoins on the radio so that was a great contribution not only to charity but cryptocurrency as well.
