Is there a cap on the number of coins created? A 200% inflation rate adds up awfully fast.  Again its NOT actually 200%. We still have Cryptopia and it would be better to consolidate more.
Bittrex does not understand the nature of a crypto asset like Truckcoin. I have talked with them and saved Truck from delisting on the last warning. The very nature of principle building for future long term generation of coins, that, until a direct merchant/retail interface is established, is converted into bitcoin, creates a stakers market versus a traders market. Its obvious that Bittrex wants high liquidity markets and does not intend to wait until Truck builds into the bastion of stability and liquidity that Truck is designed and destined to become. Until then, I think it is best, also, that Truck settles down onto an exchange that doesn't, every other month, threaten delisting. For now I would sell, and buy back in at a lower price on Cryptopia or Bittrex until May 17. That is very sound advice! Thank you for your knowledge in this vast crypto space. |

Now and I got my information's right about how staking/POS works, I'm curious to understand how this coin won't lose value If there is no maximum supply and people will be able to keep generating it forever? An infinite amount of coins won't make the value of the coin so small logically as It's based on supply and demand?
Additionally, if you understand how zerocoin works.. its not trustless. The creators could just keep making more for themselves. Do your research. |

A reminder about Dash or its clones... Dash has a 2 tier network (masternodes). Decred has a 1 tier network. With Decred, your coins are locked after purchasing tickets (voting rights) (constraining the supply). With Dash, you can sell a masternode at any time. With Decred, anyone can vote / participate. With Dash, only the wealthy can participate. With Decred, upgrades are precoded into the chain. The chain automatically switches to the upgrades after a successful "yes" vote. With Dash, the developers must then code the upgrade after the vote and hope everyone switches. Decred is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), designed from the ground up. It has a unique consensus system (which makes an "ethereum classic situation" extremely unlikely), is self funding, and is written from scratch in Golang by very well respected bitcoin developers (BTC Suite) Plus, you forgot to mention Zerocoin based coins are not trustless. |

Hi truckers, I currently have version beta 1.0.0.0 and since the beginning of this version, the transactions don't show at all. I have a balance in the wallet that shows, I'm staking and sometimes the info bubble tells me that I do get rewards, but there are no transactions showing at all. "Unconfirmed" always remain at 0. And when I go to the debug window and type something like getbalance <account>, I get 0. Can you tell me what is wrong? Are you sure the time on the computer is correct ? I need instructions on how to install a truckcoin daemon on Ubuntu x64 14.04, using digitalocean. Also staking instructions as well.
I wouldn't recommend doing that, its not very secure. Is there some reason you can't use a computer that only you have access to? |

That and if this coin could somehow tap into the muti-billion dollar transportation / trucking industry, I really think even the sky will not be its limit ! Would be nice to find any devs interested in trying to build an "uber-like" app (think shipping wars & uber combined) for the shipping industry (similar to what Amazon is rumored to be doing) that would utilize truckcoin as its main payment gateway, transaction method. Why wouldn't that app just use bitcoin instead? What is does this coin have that literally hundreds of other altcoins don't? Its immune to blockchain bloat and has the highest transaction throughput among 600 competing cryptos. Plus its supported by student fraternity at Trucker University of Minnesota. Plus it is proof of working stake, that is the future. Less impact on environment and inherited environmental waste/pollution that purely proof of work coins will cause. What good will PoW coins be if they end up killing the earth and all of us?
