Below are purely my thoughts, as these things are subjective from person to person, from a social class to another. In my case (an average men living a simple life, not too rich, not too poor) I don't see any advantages of purchasing a new car apart the fact that is new. I find it the worst investment (after womans) in buying a new car. As for the life style items, it depends if you really need them or not, if you want to buy them just because are fancy then you throw the money out of the window. Buying a house have a lot of advantages: the prices will remain almost the same or will increase over time, you don't pay the rent anumore, if is bigger you can rent 1 or 2 rooms and get some money back, you don't need to worry that the owner will come to you ans say to need to leave because he is selling to house where you pay the rent, etc... Thanks for the tips, the part with using "copy" "paste" for a part of the address and typing the rest is pretty useful, I think this can be used for passwords too for extra security.
Now since this kind of malware is out there (that can change the address copied to clipboard) I wonder if there is a possibility to exist even a malware that change the address "pasted" right before sending the TX (0.1 sec before you click "SEND" button). This would make checking the address worthless and your coins would vanish, so let's hope not.

Just think about all the "password protected" (encrypted) things that are out there, like: financial system servers , electricity servers, medical care servers, airplanes servers, nuclear missile codes. These are things much more valuable and important than 1M bitcoins. How about in a decade or two, when Bitcoin's market capitalization might be in the trillions, or tens of trillions? Valuable enough? We're also talking about much more than 1 million bitcoins. It's 5 million+ that have exposed public keys and theoretically the entire supply if QC is capable of breaking transactions in flight. Centralized infrastructure also requires far less coordination to secure. In a zero-day situation, governments and banks could react far more effectively than the decentralized Bitcoin network ever could. If QC broke ECDSA in the wild today, I don't think Bitcoin would ever recover. I like your enthusiasm, and I hope Bitcoin will hit tens of trillions in value. "Valuable enough?" - No. Not more valuable than a human life, at least for me. As for the Quantum Computers, if this will happen of course Bitcoin will be worthless like everything out there using encryption, but I'm sure Bitcoin developers will launch a new Quantum Resistant Bitcoin maybe called qBitCoin. Don't be afraid, we will adapt like we always do, as humans. |

As of last Friday, there are 10.952 Jr. Members (that therefore required receiving at least 1 sMerit). It’s true though that if I narrow down on those whose account was created in 2019, the toll goes down to 476 Jr Members, which isn’t a large amount for 2019 created accounts. It may take a month or two of perseverance (as was my case), but that is probably it. If one wants to keep up the pace with the time required to rank-up as it did before the Merit System, you’ll need to gain a rough average of one merit per day (and that's when @DireWolfM14’s calculator comes in handy). That is pretty tough to achieve nowadays, but 1 Merit .. not really. Here you have a point, and 1 merit/day sounds like easy task at first glance but you need to do this day after day for the next 3 years.  @DireWolfM14’s calculator is no doubt a good tool, but is handy for the few, good posters active in here daily. As for the 476 Jr.Members in 2019, I wonder how much is the percentage of total registered users to make the ratio. |

I don't agree that merit is just a matter of pride for legendaries. The actual count is not important to me, as I will never be able to compete with the stats reporters. However, individual awards are useful, and they give me a feel for the general opinions in the forum, and they help me to "tune" my posts and threads.
Not the merit points are a matter of pride for users (maybe for some... I don't know), the Legendary rank is (this is what I've said)  That's not a problem, it's exactly why the Merit system was introduced. If someone has 300 Activity without earning a single Merit, I'm pretty sure his posts are worthless. But by all means, if you find a worthy Newbie with good posts: report them here so I can Merit them! Will do it for sure, I actually say some good posts (from newbies) who deserved some merit but I didn't had anything at that time left to give it. Thanks for the tip! |

I think Legendary is just a matter of pride in here since Here/Legendary gives you almost the same benefits on the forum.
The merit system is problematic for newbies who are struggling to get 1 merit and be able to post images, and here I am not talking about new Newbies, but about the ones that have 2-300 activity and they are still newbies. Not many users gives merit points to newbies just because they are newbies and they know you'll make him/her Jr.Member if you'll give 1 merit.
As for the calculator, is a good tool but for the old system (without merit requirement), with the current one the tool is just for curiosity as you'll get merit points much more harder than the activity required between the ranks time-frame.

Toate exchange-urile au comision fix la retragere, unele mai mult, altele mai putin de 0.0005 BTC (indiferent de suma retrasa). Exchange-ul trebuie sa plateasca comisionul retelei. Iar unele au "Comision fix la retragere" FREE. Dar nu despre asta era vorba. M-a mirat mărimea comisionului, unul dintre cele mai mari de pe piata (la nivel de Binance!). Dacă tot s-au imbunătătit, vezi... "care se bucură de o platformă nouă, îmbunătățită ca și viteză de tranzacționare, fiind în top pe România la acest capitol."... puteau lucra si la capitolul asta. Părerea mea - nu-i nevoie sa sari in sus din cauza asta. Nu stiu ce exchange-uri folosesti tu dar eu la toate platesc comision la retragere de 0.0005 (sau mai mult) BTC/per retragere. Poti sa ne impartasesti si noua ce exchange fara taxa de retragere folosesti? Cat despre saritul in sus, nu vad unde am sarit in sus... In fine - on topic: nu intelegi cum functioneaza o retragere de pe exchange.
