61  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best crypto casino right now according to the community on: February 20, 2021, 06:30:40 PM
I don't agree with a few of the casinos offered in the poll, but watching this thread nonetheless.

Curious to see what y'all think is the best!

Bustadice user "ttpol" had some big wins today!  Shocked

And yet the bankroll size barely budged. I think it didn't even move at all on bustadice.

Unless you're referring to the previous calculation adjustment, I imagine investors have not taken action after reading this news because the proposed changes do not take effect until March 2nd, 2021.

We will probably see large divestments in the days leading up to the March 2nd, 2021 bankroll calculation change.

Wow, Devans dropping back-to-back BOMBS!

Effective immediately, all users must provide and verify an email address before being able to deposit. The first time a user signs in to an account from a new browser, an authorization link will be sent via email. TOTP-based two-factor authentication will continue to be available as an option for added security.

Requiring a verified email address is going to get some backlash from the whales who create/delete accounts every session, but on the whole, this is a much needed safety measure to protect players from phishing attacks. I'd suggest Bustabit also put greater emphasis on encouraging everyone with an account to also enable 2FA.

The intention behind the dynamic commission rate introduced just a few months ago was to reduce the size of the bankroll to a more reasonable one and to find an appropriate commission rate. Today, however, the bankroll is larger than ever. The change clearly isn't fulfilling its purpose, so I am adjusting the formula. At the bankroll's current size of nearly $150m this represents a significant increase in the commission rate, which I hope will move investors to realize some of their profits and divest from the bankroll.

Starting on March 2 the commission rate will be calculated like this:
Code:
bankroll * (360-day moving average of BTCXDR) / 55,000,000 XDR

I could be wrong, but this comes across as a big blow to bankroll investors on the surface. Hopefully someone with a better understanding of Bustabit's bankroll calculations than myself can chime in with their predictions for the bankroll's future expected returns.

Appreciate the update, but this is a very bad look for the site.

Hopefully this is the kick in the arse needed to really push SwC Poker to become the site we all know it can become.
66  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: December 16, 2020, 06:04:30 PM
A massive 2081 BTC was just divested from the Bustabit bankroll.

The max profit on the site is now ~₿20 lower as a result.

I'm not saying the two events are related, but just as a reminder to all the bankroll investors:

Quote
Starting on December 15, 2020 the commission rate will be variable at bankroll / 10,000 BTC instead of a static 50%. The commission is only taken from net profits, so it can never exceed 100%.

As of right this very moment, the bankroll at both Bustabit/Bustadice are currently < BTC5000, meaning the commission change is currently more beneficial for investors than the previous policy.

...Also, Bitcoin just surpassed $20,000! Cheers!  Cool

I just noticed that the Bustabit leaderboards now have filters for the past 24 hours, 7 days, month, and all-time.  Grin

Love it! This makes it soOo much easier for investors to see when/why big spikes have occurred.

I had good experiences so far on BitKong. The unique Towers game plat which I am currently involved, pretty much because I love the layout, simple, beautiful, clear info and easy to navigate.

I agree. While tower gambling isn't offered at many casinos, BitKong is definitely the cleanest and most user-friendly option out there. Their sister site Simpledice (which of course is a dice site, not tower gambling) is also very well designed.  Smiley

Some very solid options in OP's list.

Our website has a lot of overlap with this list, with the consensus top three being Bustadice, Stake, and Primedice.

But so far all Communities have unanimously accused the OP of plagiarism.  And they cite Bustabit as a copy to copy.

According to Bustabit's License.txt, the site you mentioned is violating the terms of bustabit's open source license and should not be considered trustworthy.

MyBookie [.] ag, another incredibly popular offshore fiat/crypto sportsbook has began paying out 2020 Election bets.

Not only that, Trump bettors are getting their bets refunded as 3x rollover Freeplays.

Should the results get overturned, Trump bettors will be paid in full.

Bovada, one of the largest USA-friendly offshore sportsbooks, began grading 2020 Election bets yesterday.

76  Economy / Gambling / Re: Legit Site that offers PLO (Pot Limit Omaha) on: November 24, 2020, 04:42:15 AM
SwC Poker is the only true "Bitcoin only" online poker site that offers PLO; but like you said, the majority of the traffic on that site can be found in the freerolls and BBJ NLHE tables.

If you want to play at a site that has PLO running 24/7, you'll have to join a site that offers fiat banking and probably requires KYC documentation.

What state/country do you live in? Like my username suggests, I can help you find the best poker site for PLO.  Grin

Side Note: I would not suggest joining one of those private "club" -type of poker rooms.

While they can be useful in finding out about other casinos, something to keep in mind about these "casino review" sites is that their business model makes it virtually impossible for them to have an impartial opinion. One of the main ways they earn a profit is by sending players to casinos that pay them a commission for whatever that player ends up betting or losing. bustabit doesn't have an affiliate program, so review sites cannot earn money by recommending bustabit. For example, BTCGOSU doesn't mention bustabit at all despite it being the oldest and largest crash game.

My experience with virtually all casino-review sites (there are however a couple small exceptions) has been the only thing they care about and optimize for is their own bottom line, which generally means pushing what gives them the most affiliate returns. The casinos that give the most affiliate returns often are the worst (i.e. that's why they need to spend so much on affiliate, and they do dodgy stuff to have high margins). Ever wonder why sites like askgamblers will knowingly list and excuse outright scammy behavior like bitstarz as #1 (even defend WTF-bad practices, like seizing account balances for accidentally exceeding a software unenforced and unwarned betting limit )?

Hey, not all of us have bad intentions!  Smiley

Since I started GamblingSiteFinder.com back in 2018, I've had both Bustabit and Bustadice ranked very highly in the Crash Gambling and Dice categories. We're ranking #1 in Google for various Busta- related keywords and have happily sent hundreds (probably even 1000+) new players to BaB and BaD over the years.

My site is quite small, but I can only imagine how much referral commission we could have generated if we had referred those players to higher paying, yet inferior crash gambling and dice sites.

Something readers here might not know either is that online gambling sites approach review site owners (like myself) and offer us money in exchange for higher rankings. You wouldn't believe how many times a major competitor to Bustadice (I won't say names) has emailed me offering $$$ in exchange for removing BaB and BaD from the top positions on my site.

I dont know if this has been asked before but is there a site that tracks the size of the Bankroll of Bustabit?
Like in a nice graph, it would just be interesting to see to me how the size changes or will change when the new Bankroll Terms become effective!

You know how the old saying goes… “if something is not broken there is no need to fix it”.

If the structure for the website is working, the users are happy with it and the investors are happy with it then there is no need to try to change it.

I understand your reasoning, but something is broken. The users are happy, the investors are happy, but the site owner is not.

Having a large offsite bankroll can make the bankroll volatile. When an investor's onsite investment becomes too small to support their offsite investment they are margin-called, causing their offsite investment to be set to zero. As a result a lucky high roller might see the maximum profit collapse at the worst possible time, after they've just won a large amount.

It appears that Daniel is trying to resolve the problem above by eliminating all offsite investments. I might be wrong though.

I noticed this is happening for Bustabit as well.

These scammers like to use Google Adwords to bid for the 1st result in Google for popular phrases as well. Very tricky, thanks for reporting them!
