61  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Halving Party - Discord server on: May 12, 2020, 12:27:24 PM
I so much dislike discord because of how busy a server can be, many participants behave in a nefarious way, just like sending an unwanted Dm because you share the same server with them.

And nothing corresponds because the rules are different. Lots of bots just like telegram groups flooding all over the server. It's good it was tagged a server for bitcoin halving party let's go and enjoy  Grin
62  Economy / Economics / Re: Epidemic to Pandemic to Diaster-Cycle on: May 12, 2020, 12:06:26 PM
Businesses are getting out of hands and companies are being sold. People losing their jobs, others die left and right what will be the cure to this is appropriate social distancing in places like New York. Where they are a high rate of death and also people in North America very close to NYC should take their quarantine protocol very strict. It's a disaster indeed. But humans will always getaway even in the worst situation. I hope It ends soon.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: May 12, 2020, 11:54:38 AM
This is a pandemic and even though it clears out it cannot be controlled all over the world at once. Just like China at some point reduce their spread rate but the US increased in death rate. So if this pandemic is leaving this earth entirely, then it will be serially. Some countries will be free before the others. And new laws will be enforced to communities regarding travel and other social gatherings.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of BTC after halving on: May 12, 2020, 11:39:52 AM
I predicted 10k earlier and saw bitcoin getting to 10k couple of days ago. But I think bitcoin trading this year will be Negative. The price is lower than 9000. It's dropping back but may not exceed 8k, If it can hold at 8k this month. I predict another rise to 10k.
65  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Education State on: May 12, 2020, 11:09:16 AM
Education is a general term for learning a new thing. To your knowledge, people tend to confuse Education with schools. Just like schools are not around to operate but education keeps going on. Smart people don't stay awake without reading through a book. A person that doesn't read is no different from somebody that doesn't know how to read. So if the government tries to hinder the education system, it can only be the formal educations that happen in schools. But informal Education is in our hand to ourselves.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven Asset? on: May 12, 2020, 10:27:39 AM
Bitcoin is safe in the brain that it can be with you wherever you go to in the world. It's accessible anytime, No need to move it around like Gold. Your coins are private and can only be accessed by you. It grows faster than any other digital assets and such fast growth will add to the value of bitcoin as a haven Asset.

Support the services of merit owners When you buy from or sell to a member with Smerits they will likely reward your honesty with a merit.
68  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does Halving actually mean for Beginners? on: May 12, 2020, 09:10:02 AM
To beginners I think halving is a time bitcoin price will boom. And they will double their investment during this period. But to me, halving works in a way we cannot predict what price bitcoin will be after the event. And as a digital Gold the production of bitcoin is finite which occurs once in four years. It is a period for miners to work and gain rewards.

70  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin halving's 3 possible scenarios. on: May 11, 2020, 02:57:36 PM
I chose the huge panic selling. All I see is news about people hoping to see bitcoin price increase after the halving. But won't understand that if they stop buying bitcoin, the price will not increase as expected. After the halving and what they expected of bitcoin to do, it doesn't happen. They will likely sell their coins putting the bitcoin price at risk. I hope they start buying again after the price has started increasing weak later after the halving.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be aware of Halving Giveaway on: May 11, 2020, 02:26:19 PM
Quote
Usually giveaways are free to join but scammers create fake giveaway where you are required to send X amount of BTC to receive X amount of BTC. These types of giveaway are fake. People should not make the mistake and send the BTC, that's what I'm saying.

Just like this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247633.0 A brand new user claiming that this site doubles any amount you send to their address. I don't know if he is promoting the site or if he is a victim. People should be aware of such giveaways as you said though.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that number of miners will decrease for a while? on: May 11, 2020, 02:19:19 PM
The reward given to miners will be divided into two that is, Miners used to get rewarded with 12.5 BTC but this time it will be 6.3 BTC so the benefit is low and can discourage some low-level miners that are just new to the business and can't make enough profit out of it. Because of the electricity consumed and the number of mining hardware in their possession. It is sure to know that the people that have been mining consistently will know how to do their plus and minus. This is the third time miners reward is being divided. So people that know the business will still be available while those who are new may not be familiar and leave. Just know that some miners will drop.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am feeling Regret on: May 11, 2020, 02:02:59 PM
your coin is safe but unsafe at same time. It's best you save your bitcoin in a hardware wallet and share with your family maybe lawyer or wife. It will be safer you can outsmart hackers but maybe something happens to you, your family can access your funds and use them to keep you alive. Just my opinion because it's a huge sum of money.
74  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Real or fake? on: May 11, 2020, 01:55:38 PM
The giveaway is not legit looking at it. Steve Wozniak is an Apple co-founder and they are no good reviews on this giveaway. It could be some scammers with another strategy of making money. In this cryptocurrency market, nothing is free to be sincere. You must work to earn a single coin. So they are working to see you lose your coin while they earn from you. Giving you $2 after sending $1 is because they want you to send more, as simple as that and also they look at you to send a positive review about them so that others will fall prey to their format. Be careful with your money and focus on learning a skill that will earn you bitcoin rather than researching on Giveaways.
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be aware of Halving Giveaway on: May 11, 2020, 01:23:46 PM
It's a giveaway, are we meant to send instead of receiving bitcoins. What kind of giveaway requires participants to send coins?
76  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn bitcoin using this site fot a newbie on: May 11, 2020, 01:21:55 PM
Op is not sure if it's this forum he is referring to. Making money from this forum is not as difficult as it seems, the service section provides a lot of opportunities, since you are a newbie you can go through those sections and know trusted dealers that you can resell their services on this forum or other social medias like Facebook. It takes time but really helps.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are my benefits as a beginner? on: May 11, 2020, 01:08:08 PM
There is differences in being a forum beginner and crytocurrency beginner. If you a beginner on the forum your greatest benefits is your proximity to knowledge and education on crytocurrency, not jobs, and you have an upper hand than an ordinary crytocurrency beginner who is not on the forum and has to work extra for informations. But as a beginner here you will not get anything if you don't recognize all this.

They are much different from beginners on this forum and beginners on cryptocurrency in general who is not reading this forum.

Users of this forum tend to have enough knowledge from old members that share their experiences on this forum. But it is not certain if our beginners have more upper hands than others who are not members of this forum.

A beginner on this forum that doesn't explore well wouldn't have any information more than a beginner that is not in this forum but reads and surfs cryptocurrency blogs.

I included jobs in this article because most beginners in this forum want to make money out of their knowledge. So their closeness to knowledge and education could fetch them some bucks too if they share them with others in this forum to learn.
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain - Understanding it step by step. on: May 11, 2020, 12:26:55 PM
We all know Federal information processing standards as a US government security standard that secures our system for theft and also used for cryptographic. It specify four hashing algorithm which includes SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512. SHA is considered to be a successor to MD5, MD5 is currently a standard engineering task force, but is not as fast as MD4 but offers much more of data assurance security.

79  Other / Beginners & Help / What are my benefits as a beginner? on: May 11, 2020, 11:51:46 AM
Many times beginners see cryptocurrency as unsafe. Because it can be used by criminals and also for cyber-crime.  They are a few good news about why you should have a positive mindset about cryptocurrency.

Provide Jobs

Using this forum as an example, so many companies have adopted this forum as a place of advertisement. This possibility has helped the members of this forum to participate in such campaigns and make a few bucks out of them.

As we all know this forum as the largest forum that represents bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general with over 2.5 million users.

These companies consist of

1. Gambling sites

2. Exchange sites

3. Gaming sites etc

So, just like everything in this world has good, bad and ugly features. If you have a good reason why you joined the cryptocurrency community and engaged yourself in this Journey. Your benefits are many.

General skills

I have gone through this forum a lot and found out they are one common objective in this forum apart from talking about bitcoin and altcoins.

Which is Writing, so many consistent users of this forum are good writers because of the merit features that are given to good writers that share good content in this forum.

Those merits will qualify you to make money out of the numerous campaigns that are been managed in this forum.

The more merits you have determines how much you can get per post.

Bright future of Cryptocurrency

In the 1990s people were curious about the term internet but 20 years after nobody asks such a question anymore and the benefits have proven how good and special it is to human beings.

Same here with bitcoin and altcoins in general, they are roughly 10 years old and people have slight knowledge about them. In a few years, people will understand how useful bitcoin can be to the community.

Your information is safe

A few months ago, I had a failed business with a client online. Although it wasn't my fault lack of sufficient information from my client. So he demanded a refund which was no longer under my control because I resold a good to him and he didn't want the goods anymore.

Since I cannot refund his money he said he will extract my location from the bank details I sent to him. This wouldn't have been a problem if we traded in bitcoin. The bank has all our details and it could be dangerous for a failed business like mine above. Even though the fault is not from me.

I am not saying we should trade in bitcoin because we can't be tracked, but for mistakes that may arise, as we are dealing with real people.

The above-listed benefits are just a few among the millions of benefits you can get from using cryptocurrency and being a member of this forum.

I will encourage users to use this thread to share more benefits to our newbies and discuss it for better understanding.

Please if you read this article rate it. Thanks

It's a nice idea. The forum is working hard to see that they are no bad contents. But this new button can it be in such a way that the merit giver can get back their merit after they are back to their senses.
