61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Altcoin price recovery on: September 26, 2019, 09:25:22 AM
The title says it all — altcoin price recovery is underway. Personally, i would be satisfied if prices go back to where they were a few days ago, but a rally that would take them higher wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your thoughts and expectations?

62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spikes in Street Level Crypto Use on: September 25, 2019, 04:44:51 AM
The article cites that a surge in low-level use cases: prostitution, drug sales, child pornography trades have all surged which was the inspiration for CipherTrace's Scout app. Apparently the app will flag bad addresses and ignore everyday users allowing users to know whether their token has a criminal past.

what are your thoughts on a mobile app that does this? Necessary?

So, what's the point of knowing if the coin has a criminal past? Money is money, you use it to pay for stuff and move on. When a coin used for paying for illegal or bad things comes to you, you're not gonna drop it and be like, "Ew, i don't like that one." Don't see the point of the app.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking decisions on: September 25, 2019, 04:37:51 AM
The moment you start taking decisions yourself you will make a change in your life ,some decisions will be bad and some will be good but at least you are different from those who rely on others decision. Don't invest in coins because people  around you are investing in it ,I did the same in the past even when i knew that the coin doesnt make lota sense and it doesnt end well for me ,I repeat same mistakes like thrice before I really opened my eye ,I knew what's right from the start im just wasn't bold enough to do what I felt was right.

To all readers on here please try to know yourself ,listen to your heart and learn from others but don't rely on others ,sometimes you know what's best for you but you aren't just bold enough to make your own decision ,maybe because you are too scared of failure? Failure is a big part of road to success .

Yup. Could and should be applied to anything in life, and to crypto as well. You must know what you are doing. which requires reasearch. Also, follow your instincts, and when it agrees with a decision based on knowledge and logic - you will know that you are doing the right thing.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Change with the flow on: September 24, 2019, 12:06:43 PM
I just created a thread where I used the word "Golden opportunity" which led me to a though that is we crypto enthusiast should start using the words as "Bitcoinish opportunity" or "bitcoin opportunity" right?

I think we need to upgrade our vocabulary as and when there is a change. Like crypto enthus value bitcoin more than gold then why golden opportunity. What do you think?

It might be a bit too early for that. After all, there are still so many people that have never even heard of cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, or anything. Awareness and adoption first, and the vocabulary will evolve on its own, no need to rush it and force it.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about steem blockchain ? on: September 24, 2019, 12:00:18 PM
I've been creating content on steem for a long time. It's already the third year creating there. I tried a lot of applications built on it. I like that the transactions are very fast ( only 3 second ). I like that there are no fees paid while we transact any amount of money. I like that we can upvote people and make them earn some money, just from creating content. The more stake we have there, the better our upvote is and that's the proof of stake.

The only thing I don't like is that we have only 7 days to earn from a particular content, but even that can be good, because that supports the actuality of the information.

Now I'm growing and improving in the video platform built on steem and you can find my content here : https://3speak.online/user/clixmoney

You will always find a lot of information about steem in the web.

But in this thread I want to hear the opinion of other people about steem.

Of course most steemians are positive about it, because they are already staking and creating there. But I want the opinion of people who are outside of steem.

I would like to see as well steemians sharing their opinion about the blockchain.

Let the discussion starts and let's know what the world think about the blockchain I'm passionate about.

You will find me there as @clixmoney.

Cheers.

I considered joining Steemit for a while, but I figured it's a waste of time back when all those people got fired. Interestingly enough, Steem survived, although it did go way down the list. It might be worth a second chance, I would love for it to go viral and become a success — I'm just not sure that it will.
