It's not necessary and this app will be abandoned in the future and that will be another useless app. Why the creator must think to create an application like this one. The old history of our crypto doesn't matter anything in our life.
This app is a non sense app. If we have crypto that already used to do a criminal act in the past and what's the problem? Even fiat has already used for the criminal so many times.

but it was valuable to the majority there, for me, I didn't think it was an important project. such projects will only lead to excessive pros and cons. I think that such a project will collapse in a matter of time and there are still many projects that have a better vision than the project.

So, what's the point of knowing if the coin has a criminal past? Money is money, you use it to pay for stuff and move on. When a coin used for paying for illegal or bad things comes to you, you're not gonna drop it and be like, "Ew, i don't like that one." Don't see the point of the app.

Actually, this is just human need. Entrepreneurs want to bring apps and news to meet people's needs and they get a refund, that's fair.
Although I never use depraved apps, I think that society always has such components. we cannot separate or satirize them, because their ultimate goal is money, like us.

Regardless of what the majority thinks about their project, if they have been committing time for its development they will continue the project no matter what happens. Ciphertrace has been serious with their vision.

And as a matter of fact, I keep seeing their ads on the youtube videos that I watch. I won't think that it will collapse soon, give it time and let's see if it will become successful on both ends, the users and developers.

Not necessary at all and extremely silly for most cases. If you flag 1 bad address and it deposits to an exchange, the coins all go everywhere. I bet I have 99% of all my coins coming from some bad address.

companies like this are always spreading bullshit to justify the services they are trying to sell to others otherwise they have no way of knowing this and also logically speaking none of the use cases they are mentioning can even work with cryptocurrencies! all of them without exception rely heavily on fiat and it is not going to change any time soon.

So this app can verify for us the colorful history of the coin that we are receiving -- like has it been utilized to buy child pornography or had dealt with illegal drugs -- basically identifying the dirty cryptocurrency from the clean ones. Well, maybe it will have some good uses actually as there can be some people who could not accept coins which have been in the hands of the "criminals" so maybe this app can help with that concern. Generally speaking, however, I am not interested to know the history of any coin I just got into my wallet as long as I am not doing anything illegal. I am suggesting that this app also include all the fiat money in the world as this is the one that really need more tracking.

This should be a positive thing for the space seeing more people using Crypto, but for an app to decided to be tracking the users is against what Crypto stands for. I would like someone to design an app that can track the fiat that has been used to dirty transactions.

I doubt how accurate the CipherTrace's Scout app will be, considering the fact that some illegal use of crypto in crime like drug sales are done via dark web. Well, I don't really see the validity of such app. We should be encouraging apps that will help promote crypto in real world and not this.
