61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money flowing out of BTC into Altcoins on: May 07, 2021, 10:51:20 AM
We are talking about a lot of money moved from Bitcoin to altcoins. Dominance levels fell from 70% to bellow 50% and maybe will visit those lows of the beginning of 2018.
It could be signaling the end of the bull run too. It lasts for more than two years now, with the first year being very slow and an accumulation phase, but later especially after the halving everything started pumping.
It is also dangerous times for long term investments and I suggest to be more about short term and trading. Very high speculation levels and too much greed, fomo and hype.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL Strategy - Exchange Coins on: May 07, 2021, 10:22:38 AM
Many of these coins have huge potential to the downside. If you have limited knowledge of them market don't be so sure you will profit from BNB or Huobi token or anything else right now. It is the market stage where it is the most speculative and you thinking that BNB will reach trillions for absolutely no reason means you will lose money in the end.
If you plan to invest today for long term it is probably the worst time.
If you plan to trade any time is great, as long as you understand trading.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you set stop loss for long term gem? on: May 07, 2021, 10:20:25 AM
If you think a coin is a gem why are you trading it? You should invest and hold it in a wallet instead of leaving your coins in exchanges.
A stop-loss is for traders and most has to do with leverage, if you set stop-loss at a long term crypto investment you are buying high and selling low.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What projects do you have under your eye? on: May 07, 2021, 09:53:06 AM
Useful means to be providing utility for us, like a coin that it will be used for everyday transactions. Also useful could mean a cryptocurrency that in times of need will help us move away from home and still be able to take part of our wealth with us. It all depends and Bitcoin still has a lot of utility. However, it can't be used for everyday transactions, this is important and the blockchain fees make it forbiden. I am looking mostly for projects that can stand for decades and will be increasing the user base. It is not easy to find which ones will be there after a decade, but I am doing my calculations and holding these.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Elon Musk's goal with Dogecoin? on: May 06, 2021, 12:04:53 PM
He thinks that shilling Dogecoin helps increase the price of Bitcoin where he now holds close to three billion investment using Tesla's funds.
So, anytime he talks about Doge, price of Doge increases as his followers and trading bots are buying, creating pump and dump waves that will eventuall crash and Dogecoin will be bellow half a penny.
It is a pump and dump by Musk. What we were accusing McAfee of doing in 2017.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 8 reasons to start playing blockchain games on: May 06, 2021, 11:25:02 AM
I am also a game lover, there are several games that I have tried to play, some are paid and some are scam. because only by playing games we can generate altcoins and this is a paid and earning hobby. I will try to play this game. and thanks for the link, I hope we can generate altcoins by playing games.

I haven't found any blockchain game that can be profitable. There hasn't been one for years, and while some claim they pay the players, the payments are so low that is not worthy of our time.
Also, some blockchain games require investment first and take a risk to mess with something you will have to become very skilled before any profit appears.
Some are not even games, just some NFTs that grow and you put them in battles that have no actual gameplay. And there is nothing guaranteed there either, you will have to buy NFTs spend a small fortune and hope that eventually many more will become interested and buy your NFTs back at higher price.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid using LATOKEN and Cointiger to buy any altcoins. on: May 06, 2021, 11:21:10 AM
Actually, we can't be sure about any centralized exchange.
I have used both Latoken and Cointiger many times. I didn't have a bad experience with Cointiger though. Volumes may be fake, but you can post your sell order and it will be filled by what you call fake volumes. Maybe it is the exchange that will buy, but I don't care about that, as long as there is enough liquidity.
I had worse experience with Latoken though, it runs very slow on my machine and some pairs have very low liquidity. I haven't decided if any of those should be avoided though. I plan not to hold in exchanges for a long time due to the hacking and scam risks.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with DOGECOIN, there's a lot of hype on it. on: May 06, 2021, 11:16:44 AM
I've been giving too many warnings myself, however Doge has broken all levels of hype and passed the moon, on its way to mars now.
Personally, I don't even consider to invest since it reached $0.10, this was a price I consider too much for Doge but one I was expecting it will reach.
Now, it is closer to $1, a price that is simply stupid for this coin. It is all stupidity and hype and all the degenerate gamblers following some other degenerates on Twitter.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins? on: May 05, 2021, 09:40:43 AM
Hello Guys,

Coins on top for 2017 like EOS, VET, ZEC, DASH, NANO, XTZ...
Can they compete with existing coins like DOT, LINK, coins on DEfi.

Should I invest in old coins?

I wonder what exactly is the relevance between DOT, Link, and all the DeFi, with coins like Dash and Nano.
They are on a completely different level which is not comparable.
Dash and Nano are about adoption as cash and do not have a lot to do with DeFi. You should be comparing apples with apples and not with cucumbers.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What really makes a cryptocurrency successful on: May 05, 2021, 09:38:43 AM
While in the bullrun it is difficult to decide because even the trash are getting attention, I still think that with enough market research and due diligence we are able to find the top projects that will eventually become successful. In the bear market this is easier as the scams are less and the working teams of developers are obvious.
Being succesful in the short term doesn't mean a cryptocurrency will be relevant after two or three years.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can we get Crypto Signals from ? on: May 05, 2021, 09:36:01 AM
Does anyone know of a group or individual who gives out crypto signals with buy in and take profit calls ?

Do you really think that someone with inside information will just give it away to anyone? Signals mean nothing, it is scammers and you will end losing money paying for these signals. The crypto markets have been plagued for years by all these signal groups that some are channels coming from a few YouTube traders.
What you are looking for is a get-rich-quick scheme and any kind of risk you are taking will not worth your trouble. These crypto signals are managed by some people that have perfected how to rip off the gullible.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin is now being pumped with BTC on: May 05, 2021, 09:11:51 AM
BTC price is going down, Dogecoin up, but don't fall into this newbie trap, it's all relative, the whales will sell Dogecoin back to BTC!

Looks like the beginning of the end. Dominance of Bitcoin is going down fast and altcoins are repeating their exponential pump as it happened in 2017. It was the same then, thousands of altcoins including too many scams and too many vaporware were found to be valued at extreme prices.
It is a huge warning to see Dogecoin this high for the whole market. Maybe they can keep pumping it and make it to $10, it will still be worth less than a penny in fair value terms.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett Agrees That Bitcoin Is "Disgusting" on: May 03, 2021, 10:23:23 AM
As long as they keep discussing Bitcoin, they are doing Bitcoin a favor. I am glad to see Buffett trying to discredit Bitcoin and I'm always happy when Bitcoin is mentioned by investing celebrities, even when this is for the wrong reasons. I don't expect this asset to be seen as productive by Buffett, so I'm glad he isn't investing in it or switching sides. In fact, if he one day turns and finds Bitcoin interesting, that would be alarming.
We are somewhere near the end of the bull run, and Bitcoin can rise more and then crash. When it crashes 80% from the top, it will still be higher from previous all-time highs, and when all haters will be having a party telling us how right they were.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, you had invested $100 in BTC (From 2010 to 2021) on: May 03, 2021, 10:00:04 AM
What if questions mean nothing. Real experiences are worth more, and our experiences, knowledge and investments is what we have to be looking at.
This argument also means nothing, since you take one extreme that obviously nobody ever followed, and you try to make a case with it, like this is something that would ever be applicable.
You are missing too many variables that are so important that make this argument not worthy. And it is not worthy, because whatever you write about this topic it always ends like this:

Sometimes I am thinking back and wonder what if? What if I had even bought $50 worth of BTC back in 2014,

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope others will learn from this on: May 03, 2021, 09:43:41 AM
The token swaps into a new contract is just giving you the idea how much of a scam the project is.
It is also worse when it just has a very small window open for holders to make the swap.
It is a practice used 99% by scams that just want to make their shit token more relevant.
I remember this moozicore as having no potential at all, of course they would follow the recipe of swaping to a new contract.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: May 03, 2021, 09:40:43 AM
Currently there are a few that can bring high short term gains. But if you plan for long term holding, it is not a recommended time to enter.
Since you asked, the one I am advertising, ApeSwap Finance, seems to be a great opportunity, but as I said I am expecting to profit only for short term, that means I'm buying and hoping for a moonshot soon. I don't even like these expressions and I'm sorry to have used that, but it is this time right now, that we can't expect anything else.
The market trend is going parabolic and this is only for short term speculation right now.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments destroy stablecoins in the long term? on: May 02, 2021, 08:39:29 AM
When governments discuss stable coins, Tether is not even mentioned. This gives you a clue about USDT and how much this token is given any serious attention.
Instead USDC seems to be gaining in favor or regulators. Anyway, I am not going to use any centralized stablecoin like those, and I am not supporting them. It would be better to hold any cryptocurrency instead of stable coins.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money from Bitcoin in 2021 on: May 02, 2021, 08:36:04 AM
Most people who are new to BTC or find a way to accumulate BTC this might help you out; few ways to make money from BTC:
*Daily trading

Since 99% or so from day traders are losing money, I wouldn't say it is very profitable. Maybe instead of day trading if you had a 10-year investing strategy it would be way better.

*BTC mining

I think you should read more how BTC mining is done. Not easy to mine from your home, and you will need to have very low cost of electricity to be profitable.

Selling your items in exchange for BTC; i.e(receiving BTC as payment for work or items sold)

You can sell your items and workf for fiat too, and buy BTC with that fiat. It is the same.
Yield farming (De-fi)

While I have many reservations on this one, it turns out it has profited many participants. You just have to diversify in many Defi to reduce the risk of an exploit or a rug pull.

*Airdrops (this helps allot but be aware of fake ones too before participating)
*BTC surveys

Not profitable. Some airdrops were given to users of platforms as a gift for their participation. These guys already paid a lot for fees and the platforms just given back tokens as airdrops that were profitable, but almost nobody was using them for the airdrops. As with Uniswap, this airdrop was like giving back to the community.
Surveys are a joke and scams. You won't get anything from that.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: How risky do you feel investing in Bitcoin is in this point of time? on: May 02, 2021, 08:24:54 AM
I would love to know how you define price of Bitcoin as low risk. I like using fuzzy logic and polls with enough interaction may give something to consider, but I also like to go into details.
I find the current prices of almost all cryptocurrencies being too risky. Bitcoin is treated differently from the rest, so I'm just thinking our strategies should always contain 50% in bitcoin as this could save our portfolio from trouble later. To answer your question, there is huge risk, but also opportunities. I am not going to buy and hodl for long term for the time being, but I'm going to trade the swings. There is a lot of trading and the dips offer some good percentages.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: May 02, 2021, 08:14:37 AM
It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

It is easy for them to enter a stock bubble, but yes as you say it is not easy to enter a crypto bubble. There is one big reason, they find it hard to invest in crypto.
Most of them don't understand what is crypto and think of it as something that is very speculative. Entering stocks is simpler with all the investment and trading offices around, and a central stock market on each country.
It is not easy for most to even understand the internet and the concept of decentralization.
They get confused and most that did invest have had a terrible experience as they did so right at the top of a bubble, while sold later at a big loss.
The market is also very difficult because of all the fomo and the fud. There are major publications and discussions from influental people that force investors to sell at the bottom and buy at the top.
However, I would wonder how would you behave if you were losing hundreds of thousands of dollars from your investment.
