61  Other / Off-topic / Re: could a deflationary defi project change the way defi is moving on: October 05, 2020, 11:47:59 AM
I don't think that deflation for the sake of deflation is good. A 10% burn rate is very high and would incentivize holding over spending. A small amount of inflation or deflation adjusted by algorithm is probably the best option.
62  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dogs or Cats? (Highly off-topic) on: October 05, 2020, 11:33:25 AM
Dogs since I'm allergic to cats and dogs evolved much closers to humans. Dogs will actually look for human eye contact moreso than they do their own mothers when they are puppies. There was also some studies that showed living with dogs was beneficial to the human immune system.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P Bitcoin Volume Hitting All-Time Highs on: October 05, 2020, 10:54:29 AM
This is amazing to see and adoption will definitely be going up even more. It's also great to see people doing more P2P trades where they can avoid being taxed by governments.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: October 04, 2020, 04:47:41 PM
I think that blockchain development careers will be more and more in demand as adoption develops further. I've seen many great projects on all types of platforms, things like VeChain and Waltonchain for the supply chain to IOHK attempting to bring financial services to Africa through Cardano.

66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: October 04, 2020, 02:44:15 PM
2017 is just part of a long series of developments. Usage continues to grow every day and I only expect to see more adoption year on year.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: October 04, 2020, 12:56:06 PM
I think it is one of the best holdable investments. I mainly transact with it though and don't do any long term holding.
68  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you happy on what you've become today? on: October 04, 2020, 08:13:01 AM
Yes I am. There is still much work to do but I'm very happy with the projects I've been building and relationships I've been developing, as well as the constant learning that I've been doing.
69  Other / Off-topic / Re: Comparisons Between Electric Automobiles and Gasoline Automobiles on: October 04, 2020, 08:05:37 AM
I think that cleaner gasoline and diesel engines will be much more effective for reducing emmissions and remaining within affordable price range.

There are many new upcoming developments for engines:

70  Other / Off-topic / Re: After failure, what should we do? on: October 03, 2020, 12:07:49 PM
I think the best thing we can do after failure is to learn from it and to keep trying. Sometimes we learn the most from failure and it will prepare us for our biggest success.
71  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way how to legally transfer your crypto wealth to the tax-free countries? on: October 03, 2020, 11:59:56 AM
I found this service which looks great for offshore tax strategies:
https://nomadcapitalist.com/

Even if you live in a country where it is taxed, you can buy from other users instead of exchanges to prevent the government from knowing how much cryptocurrency you have.

This wallet will also use CoinJoin to shuffle transactions for further privacy:

72  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying BTC at 105% (PayPal, Cash App, Venmo) on: October 03, 2020, 11:52:16 AM
I am buying BTC at 105% of the market value. Trades of around $100 - 200 are preferred.

73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum resistance on: October 03, 2020, 11:45:13 AM
There are quantum resistant encryption cryptography systems that would probably be adopted. Quantum computers are still very basic but these functions are becoming well-tested now:

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you leverage the power of your Bitcoins? on: October 03, 2020, 07:41:45 AM
I use them for daily transactions, as I think that the usage is what will push its adoption to where we have a better monetary system than the fiat one.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: October 03, 2020, 04:06:33 AM
This is amazing to see! I also think that cryptocurrency can be a pathway for the unbanked to gain access to previously reachable financial services. I will be sharing this around!
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin over $10,000 for the past 66 days on: October 03, 2020, 12:22:53 AM
I could really see Bitcoin reaching $1,000,000 eventually, usage will only keep growing.
77  Other / Off-topic / Re: Defi a time bomb or a new way to future? on: October 02, 2020, 06:16:30 PM
I think that there is great potential from decentralized finance. Proof of stake should allow gas fees to decrease enough to make it more viable.

78  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: October 02, 2020, 05:57:34 PM
I do trade on some platforms that require KYC but I've been using alternatives as much as possible now. Getting decentralized currency was the first step and decentralized exchanges will follow after.

I find P2P trading to be the best way to avoid KYC and at the same time promote usage of cryptocurrencies.

As for ICOs they may be bound by certain laws to require it, and I think those laws should be abolished. I don't find interest in many ICOS though and mainly trade the main coins, but I don't think any ICO should have to require KYC.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you sure crypto is the future currency? on: October 02, 2020, 05:20:50 PM
I don't think that it will be the one future currency but definitely one of the many options of many, and I think that adoption will only keep increasing.

I'm already seeing that I could reach a point where I wouldn't have to use USD much to obtain services. With services like this, I could buy almost everything with BTC or BCH:

80  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why privacy matters on: October 02, 2020, 03:25:14 PM
Here are some tools that I recommend for Privacy.

Logless VPN, it is important to find one that doesn't keep logs for ultimate privacy:
https://nordvpn.com/
https://mullvad.net/

Wasabi Wallet, a privacy focused BTC wallet that implements CoinJoin over Tor:
https://wasabiwallet.io/

If you can develop a network of people to trade with, then you can avoid centralized exchanges. I find the marketplaces of various forums to be useful in buying and selling products and services with BTC, this can let you earn BTC without going on exchanges like Coinbase and to also buy services without exposing personal information that may be stored on traditional payment services.
