What a nice performance from dortmund Tonight,I wasn't surprised to see that the outcome of the match was in favor to borussia dortmund, because dortmund have the opportunity to win psv considering the home advantage and also they have more experience in champions league More than psv.however borussia dortmund gained victory in 2 of their previous matches and also succeeded in getting psv wiped out from the champions league this season.I think dortmund is in a very good form this time, well let's see how far they will go in the champions league this season.
Borussia Dortmund did pretty well yesterday. PSV had the chance to break the heart of the Dortmund team and take the game to extra time but they missed their golden opportunity and M. Reus scored a late minute goal to seal the deal.

The shocker of the night was Inter Milan losing to Atletico Madrid. I was betting on Inter Milan to win that game, everything indicated that Inter Milan were the better side, the players were in good form, the stats were in their favour. I did not expect to see Atletico Madrid being the better side last night.

Well I have been here for some months now, hoping to have full knowledge about cryptocurrency and also some investment strategies, and how I can get profited from investing in most of this altcoins.
My investment strategy is Dollar-Cost Averaging. With this method, you can accumulate bitcoins at your own pace. We have so many threads on DCA and yet newbies do not find it convincing enough. I think you should stay away from investing in altcoins and futures trading for now. That is if you do not want to lose money.

Amongst the applicants for the job of the manager of the Super Eagles is Samson Siasia and Salisu Yusuf. The first was found guilty of collecting bribes to field certain players in a match and the other is guilty of being part of a conspiracy to fix a football match.  I don’t think these guys qualify for the job of Super Eagles manager. Salisu Yusuf was a good manager in his day, but we need more than performance in a national team coach, we expect credibility and character. I’m afraid Samson Siasia and Salisu Yusuf lack this two traits.

I don’t think Atletico Madrid is a better than Inter Milan this year. Inter Milan are good defensively and in offense. They have not drawn a single game in 2024. Their squad is looking like a reinforced army of seasoned players. As scary as Atletico Madrid can be, Inter Milan could afford to give them space to attack in the first half, and come back aggressively in the second half. Unless football happens, I doubt Atletico Madrid can win Inter Milan tonight.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 07:25:44 PM
Yes, I think sport fans are guilty of this. Many are torn between betting on their teams or the opposing team. They feel it’s a betrayal to bet against one’s own team. They do not consider themselves a true fan if they bet against their team. In my side of the world, people are superstitious and might take blame upon themselves if they make such bet and their team lose. Not everyone supports this logic, they gamble for profit and do not want to lose money to their feelings. For them, bets are made based on analysis and not emotion.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Dead? on: March 13, 2024, 07:05:10 PM
The blogs and media houses can post headlines that suit their anti-Bitcoin agenda. Their lies do not change the facts of Bitcoin. Bitcoin was never dead. Your username suggests you favour altcoins investments over Bitcoin hence I’m not surprised that you believe that Bitcoin relevance depends on its market price. The market value of altcoins are dependent on the price value of Bitcoin. If Bitcoin goes down, altcoins do the same…exponentially.
68  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beyond crypto, we are being scammed by scammers. on: March 12, 2024, 02:28:47 PM
This is a common scam. I’d think people would be familiar with this kind of scam by now. It seems our greed gets the better of us most times. Scammers play on our emotions and use it as a tool, greed and fear. This blocks our better sense of judgement of the situation.

In addition to all that has been said, I recommend when faced with such situations, it is important to be calm. You ask better questions, and 9 times out of ten, the scammer is following a script and isn’t prepared for certain questions. Be more inclined to say no to any requests and call your bank immediately.

Statistically, there is usually a high percentage of people coming into the crypto market in the bull season. So we have newbies coming into the crypto world with little knowledge of how it works. And depending on where they choose to seek for help, they might fall victim to scams. Those who come to Bitcointalk are fortunate, others who find their way to crypto telegram groups and dm of Instagram traders will likely lose their money.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 09, 2024, 10:32:40 PM
That a product is luxurious doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a high quality product. In my line of work as a fashion designer, I can tell you for a fact that the luxury fashion brands you know and spend a lot of money on are produced by the same factories as the not so popular ones. People put value in brand names rather than quality itself. I could also say the same about iPhones and android phones, apple has positioned themselves as a luxury product that so many people today choose an iPhone over android without considering the pros and cons of both devices.

3. Cash Out: When you cash out in betting, you take a portion payout from the bet before the game is over
It is do to guarantee a profit or minimize losses, especially when the original bet is winning or losing.

This is one strategy that I do not fancy. It could be my ego speaking but I rather let my game play out to the end than cash out a quarter of what I could have made if my bet won just because I was afraid of what the results might be. This is a strategy I would not advise any gambler to get used to, it will reduce your self confidence in your ability to predict games and will cause you to second guess your decisions.
73  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Have I been Scammed?? on: March 09, 2024, 10:01:25 PM
When will people stop falling for the girl in the pretty dress trick. Telegram scammers use the same M.O to steal from their victims. It’s always a beautiful woman, who happens to know about cryptocurrency and is either a crypto trader or she knows X platform where you can invest and make profit from crypto. Sorry for your loss OP, the signs were there. I hope you didn’t lose a lot of money. You learned a hard lesson, trusting blindly can be a dangerous thing.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 year of accepting crypto payment in my fashion store on: March 09, 2024, 09:51:00 PM

Bitcoin, as well as crypto is already a globally accepted means of payment for goods and services, it is you the customer who decides to want to pay in bitcoin or any other well known crypto currency.

Some weeks ago, I walked into a restaurant to have launch since I was very far from home, it was a local restaurant since I didn't have so much money on me, and wanted a place where food price will be a bit cheaper.
I told them what I wanted and they served me, after eating and was going to pay, there was no sign in the restaurant that they accepts crypto payments, but I just felt in my spirit to tell them I wanted to pay in bitcoin, I did and amazingly, the cashier with smiles on her face made a bitcoin address and a barcode available to me, I scanned the barcode and sent the amount to them, the only condition was that, I will wait until the transaction gained atleast 2 network confirmation before I leave, I waited and luckily, bitcoin network wasnt congested, 2 network confirmation arrived in less than 20 minutes and I left.

So, what I am saying in essence is that, some business know and are willing to accept crypto payment, but won't let the customers know that such payment option is available, they only oblige to accept it when the customer requests to pay through such means.
So, when next you visit any store, unashamedly ask them if they accept crypto payment, even if there is no crypto or bitcoin accepts sign there.
I would like to have customers like you who are willingly to pay for services with Bitcoin. The problem I’m facing with Bitcoin payments is not that customers are ignorant of Bitcoin, it’s the opposite, most of them have heard of Bitcoin and some of them hodl Bitcoin and other cryptos. The problem is getting them to use Bitcoin as payment, Nigerians have a very strong hodl mentality.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank - Safely store your bitcoin on: March 09, 2024, 09:31:29 PM
This idea might make sense to people who keep their coins on exchanges because they believe it’s safe and convenient, but for the rest of us, it is a terrible idea. You’re advocating for more Kyc and government restrictions. Bitcoin doesn’t need a bank. Bitcoin was created to cut the third parties and make direct p2p transactions possible. OP do you have a problem with self custody? Cause it sounds like you can’t live with the idea of being solely responsible for your own money.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 02, 2024, 10:56:38 PM

Victor Osimhen is from Nigeria and just like most of the young African players, he was supporting an European club in his childhood days and that club happens to be Chelsea football club. Now that he made it to limelight in professional football, he still didn't hide love for Chelsea and how he's been supporting the club in his childhood days but that doesn't mean that the Nigeria international have ever said he's loves to play for Chelsea. It's one thing to publicly show admiration to the club that he's been supporting for a very long time and absolutely another thing to say that he'll play for that same club.

That being said, I'm not trying rule out a possible transfer of Victor Osimhen to Chelsea in the summer but considering the performance of the London club in recent seasons and the fact that they won't be playing in the UEFA Champions League competition next season, I think it'll be extremely difficult to convince the Nigeria striker to commit his future to Chelsea. Victor Osimhen have already announced himself to the world as well as making it very obvious that he has all it takes to succeed in any big European club should he leave Napoli and that's why expect him to go to a club that's playing in the UEFA Champions League. Chelsea I think have some internal tactical crises at the moment which is why their performance in all competitions in the past two seasons have been awful so signing for them will likely affect the performance of Victor Osimhen
This is not true. Victor Osimhen never said his childhood club is Chelsea. I believe what he said was that as a child, he wore many jerseys back home in Nigeria, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal being one of them.
I’m struggling to see where Osimhen will go, but it has to be PSG for me. It’s his best chance of winning trophies. The premier league may look more attractive than the French Ligue, you have more visibility and hype when you’re in the EPL.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 02, 2024, 10:37:28 PM
Victor Osimehn said he loves to be play for Chelsea if he wants to play in the EPL. However, Mikel Obo has supported the motion that he would propel him to go there so that he can be a start in Chelsea. Pairing with the likes of Cole Palmer and Sterling. Chelsea will be so great that they may win so many competitions together.

What are your opinions on this? Do you think this transfer news is something that is what paying attention and if Chelsea would want someone like Victor Osimehn. Let me know your thought on this.
This is the first I’m hearing Chelsea is the preferred destination of Victor Osimhen. PSG and Arsenal have shown interest in the player. He’s a prolific striker, Mark Obi is a reputable figure and has influence amongst Nigerian footballers. I hope he doesn’t convince Victor Osimhen to join Chelsea. I do not want Victor Osimhen to move to Chelsea. They are not in good form, they are not winning the league in the next two years in my opinion. There’s no glory to be had at Chelsea.

So bad Pogba had his career severed by injury and sanctions. Football injury isn't something to be stubborn with and I think he failed to rest at the initial stage before he sustained the  injury he has had problems recovering from.
The Saudi league would not want him clearly, because they only sort the best who are still much active and play regularly in their league matches.

Though his case is way better than that of Mendy who was wrongly imprisoned for a sexual allegation brought against him while playing for same club and we see how it already is that his career as a professional football is over.
That was his mistake and he did not try to maintain the career he had built for a long time, even though he was a defensive midfielder figure who had the potential to develop. Another problem was that he often suffered injuries so that after joining Juventus he was not included due to injury. If it is true that he is facing a ban from playing then I think his career is over because it is not a short time and this is a very stupid decision that Pogba took in using doping.

His international career is definitely over and he will not be included, what is even worse is that even if he plays at a club it will be quite difficult because if he is proven guilty then any club will be reluctant to recruit him. Now he will face difficult times and regret will always come too late so making his career end just like that.
I really liked Paul Pogba. I think Pogba had potential to be one of the greats. At some point, he was the most expensive player in the world. I think his fall began when he joined Manchester United, the Red Devils were not at the best form when he came in and Pogba was expected to be their savior and who can blame them considering the price tag of the player. I don’t know if he will be able to maintain form or have top clubs coming for him after his 4year ban.
