Good one, Guy. This is a fun way to seriously look at trading items for cryptos, which is kinda what we're doing with silver, as you did with BC already. Precious metals in particular are well-suited to trading within local chapters only (as IMZ noted yesterday, where good reliable shipping and legit product is paramount) but trading digital goods is truly borderless (other than publisher policy on geo markets and pricing). I'll keep this in mind as we piece together the website; maybe there's a place for a separate area for 'chapter-less' trades of electronic goods. The thinking continues! Good work

The Size of Trades on Un-Ex: I suggest that we slowly move to trading 'packets' of coin. For example, 'a quarter' would be the amount of Uno that you get for .25 Btc. These larger transactions -- I'm talkin' months and months down the track -- will make unimportant the clunkiness of this model. Don't think 'hobbyist stall at the market.' Think 'Renowned Players!'

Having the name in the picture is a good idea, I feel like there needs to be some sort of time stamp in the picture as well, because I don't know if those pictures where taken today, or last month. So I'm calling you out IMZ, I see your bird, and I raise you a robot!




My thought on this is that I seen IMZ's bird and copied it, showing that my picture was taken after his was posted, then added a robot, so now once IMZ re-verifies with a robot, I'll know that he has just taken the picture, and all is good.  Furthermore, IMZ can add on yet another picture of his choosing to call out the next person.

EDIT: Obviously I'm not in charge, but I think carrying over some type of identifier from 1 persons photo to the next would help to some extent, or other ideas?

In giving BTC to this project, I give freely with no anticipation of receiving it back.  That being said, I had envisioned the facility working in a fashion to stabilize UNO in the event of a potato-man attack.  The community agrees to protect a floor at X and a member who is a trusted and proven trader takes action to do so.

What to do with that UNO?
-Sell it back via UNO-Ex to replenish the facility
-Sell it overtime at on an exchange after stabilization occurs to replenish the facility
-Use it as bounties to solve problems (ie Android wallet)

If you want to use Un-Ex, Step One is to become a 'Trusted Trader' by completing one trade. If ya wanna try, you post something like 'Trade 2015/001 WTB 10 Uno for .14 Btc'

Then figure out how to put the trade on the trade-tracker. (As first-timers, it's the custom that you send first.)

And I reallyreallyreallyreally hope you become DVC holders. DVC would benefit from having some more coin in circulation.

@ Guyinanutshell:  That's great!  It's totally informal right now.  You could just tell us how much, or if you are really motivated, you could provide an UNO address where it will be parked over the period, as that would be easily monitored.  If you will also have active UNO withdrawals for any reason, like petty-cash, trading, etc., then, you might want to have the frozen UNO in a separate wallet*, as withdrawals might automatically pull funds from your reported "frozen" wallet address, even if you maintain the frozen minimum balance in the wallet.

*WARNING:  Separate wallets should be on a separate device, unless you really know what you are doing.  If you don't have a backup, or overwrite certain files, you could permanently lose coins by losing your private keys!!!

@cragv:  I've said it, before, and I'll say it, again, great work!  Also, it seems like you've answered your own question up there.
