Can someone explain to me why we everyone here thinks we need mintpal to add us? Were doing fine on bittrex.

Indeed and I certainly mean no slight to some of the most diligent and imaginative devs in captivity. The point about the wallet is well made however because it is the user/investor interface. Also I don't believe the old adage about not building from/on broken has been superseded. That is especially true in this iterative build-enhance cycle. The appropriate response would have been to simply tell WhiteLion, in this case but anyone who inquired, that yes, some people have found a need to use the workaround mentioned in the opening post but the decision has been made to leave the wallet as is because a new wallet with enhancements is being released imminently. No fud and no hurt feelings. well zing 96 had already addressed the issue and explained just that, he was just continuing with the same thing again... it's true that I could have repeated it again, but that last post read more as an irritant to me meant to get people riled up, that seemed to be the main point. I don't know if he thought we were attacking him for some reason or not, but he was already in defense mode apparently. best just to shut it down imo |

@heartastack, your devotion to the coin is appreciated but your view of "fun" does appear to be trolling, at least t some of us. How about you leave taking flying kicks at newbies out of your array of amusements, at least on this forum?
To return to the original points, a wallet which does not reliably update for all comers is not a good look. It may well be clearly stated how to go about a workaround to make it work properly but how does the pitch go?
"Yes, we have all these really cool new features we're working on, we just can't make standard functions work like other coins."
Do you think that the most attractive path to new money? If not then fixing the wallet is of the highest priority rather than "we code so poorly we'll probably break it introducing new features anyway". That and hostile receptions on the forum are legitimate concerns to be addressed.
I think the devs are most likely working their asses off to get the new release done to just get that done... and in all honesty we haven't had a lot of new money coming in to ask questions, and not a lot of web buzz going on right now, I see a few things in some troll boxes here and there, but not much. The reason I didn't think we should talk about the hostile receptions at that time earlier, was because I knew white lion was starting to get under some people's skin, and that blowout was going to look worse on the message board than dropping it right then and just letting it mellow out a little. (he started today's posts by trying to report thesociableme to the dev...) yet it ended up turning in to a flame war where nothing gets done anyway. I'm on the middle here, people should be advised to not invest more than they can stand to lose, and should be encouraged away from emotional trading. I agree that new members should be answered without hostility, but that last guy came in at a bad time, nothing more nothing less. a few of us were there to do what we could. If the lashout people want to lash out I understand that too, it gets annoying and some people are better at dealing with it than others, and to be honest they say some funny crap sometimes, even the stuff directed at me. I think the best way to deal with the whole thing is keep the fud under controll as best as possible and help where you can. infighting is just useless though. |

ooooh darkproton... MY bad @duru so far as I can judge, you are duplicitous. Anything someone says you are neither for or against them, but in later posts, you take pot shots. Why do you do that? when have I taken a pot shot... that quote was because I thought you were talking about the bittrex wallet and he said " my bad" so when you responded to him that he was correct, I replied to him with that. I may have quoted the wrong message, but I still cant see how it could be construed as a pot shot. |

Please take emotion out of your strategy. I am very sorry to report that "emotions" are by far more important to investors than facts, figures, statistics or fundamentals. Most investors are clueless and see someone recommend a coin and invest. Illogical, but true. Look at the recent "Logo" campaign for Cloak! Does the logo have anything to do with the fundamentals of the coin? NO!!!! It has to do with perception and how that perception motivates the emotional response of the viewer. Emotions are everything for a new coin. "I'm going to be rich if I invest in this coin!" Isn't that exactly what this forum is all about? To promote that emotion, that illusion? I'm pretty sure the logo was mostly for time filler, something to involve the troops with while we wait. And no that is not what this forum is about, it is mostly about calming the emotional ones down. (at least for me it is...) btw: vote # 1600 just now on mint |

Actually we should address the issue rather than simply "let it go". WhiteLion is quite correct about both the hostile attitude on this forum and the wallet being critical as the user/investor interface. I'm more a lurker than a poster but I humbly apologize to WhiteLion for the intemperate reception here. We should be patient and above all, polite. If newcomers have not found the answer they seek then simply direct them to it or don't reply at all. If it helps try to remember that newbies are likely bringing more cash to the table. *correct misspelling of WhiteLion's handle  I'm just saying that I think from the past page of comments anyone who was on "high alert" at that specific point has looked back and seen any possible misstep (hopefully learning), there have been posts since his that could have been addressed in the same manner as this but weren't. I simply believe that the horse is dead and there are no due apologies, (though I am sure they would be well received). |

By the time I had posted, wallet issues had come up so many times (and a bunch more times afterwards). So yes, perhaps there is an issue that you raised - a wallet shouldn't really get into this state. But...with all the other items going on, it's of lower priority. I am an investor. I do not collect cryptcoins. I buy and sell them. I do not give a flying Yuck how cutesy or professional the logo may be. I do not care how much fud or hype there may be. All I care about are the basics and the prospect of making money. If there is any member here who thinks that is mercenary, then you really have no business even being on this forum. As for basics, there is nothing more fundamental than the Wallet! It is the door to the castle. Not the logo, not the Op page, not any amount of of rah, rah, rah is going to overcome an investor's attitude about this coin more than if the wallet works properly. The Wallet IS the coin. So as far as priority, it should be working and NOT need explanations or work arounds to get it to function properly. It reflects badly on the coin when it will not even sync without the user having to get advice. And when the user does seek advice by coming to this forum, how is he or she treated...RUDELY!!!! I intend to be a member of this forum for a good while to come. I will have to pay my dues by answering newbie questions for the 100th time. That what a forum family does when a newbie arrives. They invite them in, welcome them, and make them feel at home. Calling them lazy bums or other names... what good does that do? can we let it go? |

Once the payout reaches 1-2 coins per block, the PoW blocks will be cutoff and no PoW will be allowed. After it, the coin will become a pure PoS coin. It means no more mining inflation.
512 -> 256 -> 128 -> 64 -> 32 -> 16 -> 8 - > 4 -> 2 -> 1... The end of PoW
Block reward will halve in a day or so from 512 to 256 coins. This is HUGE. That means inflation drops by half tomorrow. This is a big drop in inflation. It will result in only 240k coins per day of PoW inflation. (less than 2% per day) That's already enough to stop multipool affecting the price.Heck, multipool won't even be mining supercoin due to low profits starting tomorrow. So zero chance! Then 10 days after, block reward will again halve to 128 coins. This means only 120k coins per day via PoW! (less than 1% per day) Then multipool really CANNOT affect the coin price for good.People who buy at these dirt cheap prices will be glad that they did later. People who are selling their coins cheap right now will most likely cry later. Is it a coincidence or did supercoin just go up nearly 20% due to my tweets & posts.  I am tempted to buy some more BTC now. hahaha I was actually thinking the same thing |

I'd ask him directly if you want but I personally think it's good that he's excited. Excitement is good! But I got put down hard yesterday for not reading each and every post ever written on this site before I was entitled to ask any questions. There were MANY posts by exuberant @thesociableme and it made me want to throttle him each time he jumped in my face. Can he at the very least tone it down? Would that be to much to ask? We are, hopefully, adults on this site and do not need shouting to get our attention. We are here because we believe in the future of this coin. I'm invested in real dollars, no need to preach to the choir! You got put down because each and every one of your questions had been asked (and answered) at least 20 times in the thread. Yes - they could have been answered more politely. After answering them so many times, I guess some become annoyed by newcomers asking the same questions over and over again. That being said, if you don't like his/her posts, just press the "Ignore" link below their name. You won't see their posts anymore. To be honest, the larger offenders are the ones who quote huge image posts and then type "+1." But, you just scroll down past them. ya, I've done the +1 thing before without putting any thought into it, then scroll back through posts and realize how annoying it is, live and learn. I think there are enough people in here at any given time that aren't in rage mode to just have a 'no instantly jumping down people's throat' rule. Also, in their defence, I saw why they were in rage mode, we have had many new accounts created just to come here and to other posts to spread doubt. and they always start with "im not meaning to spread fud". |

Other posters seem to be able to convey the same information without being obnoxious about it. Hype, pump, have fun, but do it within the framework of proper forum etiquette.
