61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They’re 14 and 9 years old—and making $32,000 a month thanks to Ethereum on: August 18, 2021, 04:14:37 AM
It is a really interesting story! I like stories of success, nevertheless, sometimes they make me a bit envious. On the other hand, I also started investing at a young age. At 14 I started learning about investment in general. First of all I learned about the stock market, but I couldn’t invest because it required 2000$ to enter this market in my country, but then I got know about crypto where I could start even with 100$, so I tried this market.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first token on the moon surface will not be DOGECOIN, but... SUPERBID! on: August 18, 2021, 04:07:05 AM
Is it a joke? What is the purpose of sending digital money for the Moon? But anyway, I can agree that social media is the best place to advertise your product. That is why many new projects organise airdrops or whitelists on presales. To participate in them you have to make tweets, follow projects’ social media, share with friends about their project. It makes a lot of people aware of your project.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria to launch its crypto currency after crypto ban on: August 18, 2021, 03:57:19 AM
I am afraid no. They want to replace ordinary crypto currency like Bitcoin and Ethereum with their digital state currency. When they launch it, Bitcoin will still be a rival for it, so they will forbid it.
What comes to E-naira,it will still be regulated by the government. The main feature of digital money is decentralisation and uncontrollability from authorities, but digital E-naira, rubles, yuan will be under regulation, so it is the same as just non-cash money but on blockchain instead of bank account.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft to use Blockchain technology to fight piracy on: August 18, 2021, 03:49:57 AM
I also have read on the news that Microsoft is going to use Ethereum to fight against piracy. They learned the system called Argus that allows volunteers to report about piracy and receive a reward for it. Argus uses Ethereum that is safe and transparent. I believe that there will be more companies that will refer to the blockchain to develop their business models.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: August 17, 2021, 06:42:11 AM
Personally I participated only in IDOs as this way projects don’t run the whole marketing campaign on their own. As I know, developers hire a platform (for example, DaoMaker) and this platform advertises their presale instead of them, while developers can focus on fixing something before launch. Also it is easier for projects to go exactly this way as if it is a reliable platform, people will be more willing to buy.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from the fullest dip on: August 17, 2021, 06:34:31 AM
The crash will teach alot of people a bitter lesson and they will learn from it,
they will learn the following

1. Never to love a coin

2. Never to be greedy

3. To cashout on profit always

4. To stop following hype

5. To know that what goes up must come down etc

You're absolutely right. I made mistakes on all points unfortunately.
Once I had a token that I really loved, I loved the community and the project, so I didn’t sell it when it decreased by 80% or more. It was a sign for me to sell off, but I continued holding and then it was hacked.
Also we shouldn’t be greedy and fix our profit, you are right, it is better to have a small profit than to overhold.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gwei: How much at least? on: August 17, 2021, 06:14:03 AM
Price is updated all the time. From my experience I can say that the lowest price is in the evening of Friday when the activity is usually minimal. You can check current prices on Etherescan. For example, now it is 44 gwei for slow transactions(10 mins), 47 gwei for average (3 mins) and 50 gwei for quick (30 secs). If you don’t want to speed up your transaction then and spend money twice, try to put the price between high and average.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Speedup Transaction on: August 17, 2021, 06:08:11 AM
I have tried it on Metamask, but on Binance Smart Chain and Polygon. Nevertheless I guess it is the same on Ethereum. As I noticed, when you speed up your transaction, you pay one more time, but at a bigger price. It is not very visible on sidechains as fees are too small (less than 1$ and sometimes even less than 1 cent), but in case with Ethereum it is too expensive, so you had better always put a price a little higher than average.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I guess personal wallets are a thing of the past now. on: August 16, 2021, 05:19:03 AM
I was just going through my appdata on my old comp (been in the shed for 4 years) and boy I used to run a lot of wallets on it.

And guess how many I have on my new comp = zero

So I started looking around the forum and can't really find a single wallet I can download onto my comp, add a few coins and start staking.

Amazing how fast it has all moved on in just a couple of years.

Nostalgic moment over now Smiley

Cheers
TT

Actually, it is very difficult to monitor the current situation all the time, but we have to do that as in the crypto market everything changes very rapidly, so you have to follow all your altcoins and defi projects as they are quite risky.
What comes to wallets, the best decision is metamask, to my mind, because it can connect to almost all platforms.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the recent Ethereum upgrade? Is it good or bad? on: August 16, 2021, 05:13:24 AM
Lately, the Ethereum community of users including "me" is rejoicing and boosting that the Ethereum v2.0 London upgrade will be a game-changer, particularly the EIP-1559 implementation, But in a few days later, many are wondering why the Ethereum gas fees were still high, despite the upgrade was done already, some users are saying that Eth developers are just giving false hope, while other also saying that it's not working the way we are expected, in the time of writing the average gas price is $7.74(43 gwei) and for me, it was still high compare to BSC, Polygon and other Layer 2 chain.

What do you guys think? drop your fearless opinion below!

I also find 8$ for a transaction to be a very high price. As on polygon I pay less than 1 cent, so I can make many transactions a day and don’t care that my profit may not compensate expenses on transactions. People with small capitals can’t use Ethereum so we run to other blockchains like Binance Smart Chain and Polygon. Nevertheless, I do hope that Ethereum 2.0. will change something.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to make good profits through ICOs? on: August 16, 2021, 05:05:06 AM
Hi there, I was looking at a couple of ICOs on CMC today (especially at Safelaunch) and it's been a while that I started to analyze the "results" of some previous ICOs like Centrifuge, Bytenext and other random coins.

I noticed that their ICO price was way lower even than the very first opening price, so I was wondering if it could be a good idea to regularly take part in these events, and, if an ICO allows me to freely manage the money I placed in it (for instance, immediately taking back my money if my profit target has been reached).

P.S: with "good profits" I don't mean bullshit like 10x, 100x and "to the moon", (obviously everyone has a different conception of "good profits"), but a decent amount of money that allows me to make an accumulation plan, would be great to see other people's experience.

First of all, you should understand that there are a lot of scams nowadays. Developers can just raise money and then do a runner with them. So before investing you had better do careful research.
What comes to taking your money immediately after you see a good profit, it is not always possible. Sometimes it is a lock up that prevents people who buy on ICO from quick selling of tokens, as this way the price will drop very significantly, so everything depends on tokenomics.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cardano missing staked on moonstake on: August 16, 2021, 04:56:44 AM
anyone had coins completely vanish? today all my coins vanished on moonstake in the app, did a restore on web and the app and still nothing, transactions are normal just nothing there.....

I am afraid that this project was hacked and all money was withdrawn from the project by a thief. It is quite a common thing today that a lot of platforms are hacked and people lose their money.I also have had one unpleasant situation recently. I staked my coins on one defi project and then it was hacked, as a result 30 millions of dollars were lost, but this defi project promised a compensation. Maybe it is something similar in your case.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I feel like I'm in deja vu on: August 11, 2021, 03:56:08 AM
as we know in 2017 there was a very popular game called cryptokitties before the market increased very high (bull run) at the end of 2017, then now there is a game that is also popular, namely Axie Infinity and I hope if this is a sign for a bull run that will happen at the end of 2021, so the market can increase very high like what happened at the end of 2017.

I don’t think that the current hype around NFT-gaming can lead to a big bull run. On the contrary, I think that when this wave of hype subsides, some people will give up this market. So to my mind we should expect a crypto “winter” which will give us fundamental projects instead of these shitcoins that we have now. I don’t consider  the popularity of Crypto Kitties as the trigger of a bullish market in 2017, I think it is rather one of a consequence of the general interest around crypto.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Platform Is Good For Price Speculation and Prediction? on: August 11, 2021, 03:50:44 AM
Hello Crypto Enthusiastic and Traders
Please which Platform or website is good for price Speculation and Prediction in cryptocurrency? Because I learn about LunarCRUSH but I'm still thinking may be there is better platform.

Thanks

Good platform for speculation is Binance. I find it very convenient and what is more important, it is quite cheap. What comes to prediction platforms, I can’t suggest anything as I don’t use them and don’t believe in such things. You had better make all decisions on your own. Of course, you can read some analytics, but don’t completely rely on signals.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best Cryptocurrencies To Invest in for 2021 on: August 11, 2021, 03:41:45 AM
Cryptocurrency can be considered as the digital money. This year can be considered as the bull year that we are seeing ATH in every week almost. So, the best time is going on for crypto. The Yahoo Finance published an article named as like the headline of this topic. I am quoting a part of that article.

Quote
Top 10 Cryptocurrency Investments in 2021
Cryptocurrency Price as of March 29, 2021 Market Cap Bitcoin $57,566.38 $1.075 trillion Ethereum $1,811.82 $209.464 billion Binance Coin $273.38 $42.304 billion Tether $0.99 $40.632 billion Cardano $1.19 $38.188 billion Polkadot $33.74 $31.349 billion Ripple $0.56 $24.598 billion Litecoin $192.88 $13.038 billion Chainlink $28.06 $11.689 billion Stellar $0.41 $9.23 billion

Cryptocurrency is a trillion dollars market now and it is getting bigger day by day. So, if you are still waiting, just look at the market volume.

Don’t mix up digital money and crypto currencies. Money is what we can use to pay for services and goods. Nowadays there are few places where you can buy for crypto. Digital money is more about digital state currencies like digital yuan.
Considering what you said about market cap and trading volume, I agree with you that those who wait now, will regret in the future.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is pumping now. on: August 11, 2021, 03:24:26 AM
I'm not surprised to see XRP pumping at a time when the market is crashing like now, because in my opinion XRP is one of the best altcoins in crypto, because this altcoin has enormous potential, if the feud between XRP and the SEC is won by XRP I  believe XRP's popularity will increase further and can compete with other productive altcoins such as BNB and UNISWAP,

I always smile to myself when I see this term "enormous potential" because I think thousands of failed projects and scams have used this phrase. And if you go to defi channels now,,, especially new BSC projects. All they say is potential. Favorite shiller phrase.

How on earth anybody can compare XRP to BNB and UNI I do not know. Except that they are centralized and XRP is the most centralized of them all.

I can’t agree more! It is really ridiculous when people say that something has an enormous potential, especially if they don’t support their words with facts. Of course, if they say that this token will be successful, as it has an innovative idea of … and it will help us to … and also it has a big community, I can believe, but no when it is just words.
In terms of XRP, I don’t like it as it is said that it is the most centralised token of all.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: August 10, 2021, 06:21:57 AM
I don't understand the thought of that person who says that ethereum will die. if ethereum will die until now maybe ethereum is not in this position and ethereum will not fill the top 5 positions of coinmarketcap. it won't die easy for ethereum because ethereum is a big coin and it takes a lot of people

I also find opinions about the collapsing of Ethereum to be ridiculous. I think that if such a giant dies, other altcoins are not likely to survive then a fortiori. Especially ERC-20 tokens that are built upon Ethereum. The thing is that Ethereum’s team is developing their product all the time. Now they are developing the plan of switching to Proof-Of-Stake and sharding.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Efforts of holding wasted on: August 10, 2021, 06:13:47 AM
People be like
Don't always sell all the coins and tokens you own because they can rise in future but I've hold so many coins since 2018 and only very few gives me 50$ to 70$  Grin today, isn't this laughable??

I be like
It's always wise to hold only very popular coins for future sake like the period we are in presently, not all altcoins will pump and give you a thousand dollar gain or more, if I've spent my time to gather top altcoins I would be in happy mood right now

It goes without saying that not all coins are worth being invested in for a long-term. Only coins with innovative ideas and really popular with people will survive in the future. If you want to invest in some shit coins, meme coins or any other altcoins that are not in the top-100, be ready to follow them and sell off when the market shows negative movements.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: August 10, 2021, 06:08:29 AM
Can we live Without btc?
I think we Can so then we Don't need it.
For money Transactions btc its a Bad choise.
Stable coins are good for Transactions.

So btc is Pure speculation its Only the matter of Time When government Will ban Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not needed You Can breathe without btc and you Can live uour daily life without btc.

There is no reason that government Will let the btc to stay alive.

Tron Ethereum are different those blockchains government Will use it for stable coins.

But Bitcoin?  What for is it?

Actually Bitcoin has become an integral part of our present economy. It seems like a joke? I also considered Bitcoin and other crypto to be like dummies, but my economics teacher said that Bitcoin is the reserve currency in China today. It provides offshore yuan. Chinese government started using it as a reserve one year ago and since then, Bitcoin has been growing.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market in the currency market is about to start on: August 10, 2021, 06:03:21 AM
I am not sure if we will see one more bull run this year. But I totally agree with you that the crypto market is unlikely to collapse presently. It has become an integral part of our modern economy. Companies start using it as the means of payment, many big banks start offering crypto services. It shows us that people really believe in the bright future of this market.
