61  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's after the terrahash? on: March 08, 2014, 05:53:49 PM
Thanks for the responses. It's going to be strange one day when asics are looked upon the same as CPU mining.
62  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / What's after the terrahash? on: March 08, 2014, 04:27:31 PM
With the exponential growth of mining power, what comes after the terrahash? In three years where do you think mining will be? Is the last coin generation estimate of 2140 variable?

Thanks!

Gox is not competent enough to redirect people's attention like this.
+9,001

Those pulling the strings at Mt Gox, yes. Mark Karpeles, no.

Absolutely should be restricted. The forums have the feel of a dirty carnival right now.

66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX whistleblower...the plot thickens. on: March 08, 2014, 02:11:31 AM
It's good to see the mtgox and foundation stuff starting to get fired up and talked about here again.

Yes, as a reminder to stop trusting third parties.

By the way, stop trusting third parties.

lol - If people get told enough times, maybe they will eventually listen. I mean, is a hundred times enough?

Not even close to enough. The problem is that it's too convenient to store them online. Silly as all get out to do that but convenient. We can't expect the vast majority of the population to adopt bitcoin and not understand the concept of don't store your money in a "bank".
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Karpeles behind the Dorian fiasco? on: March 08, 2014, 01:59:13 AM
Go glance over most of the satoshi threads. Posted by newbies with good knowledge about satoshi. This just feels like a paid campaign. Most of them are probably on exit nodes as well.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Karpeles behind the Dorian fiasco? on: March 08, 2014, 01:50:36 AM
There is so much money missing though. I mean look at the numbers my god man. You don't think they can spin a few stories from some shitty unknown journalist? There's a lot of stuff going on behind the curtains. There a lot you can accomplish with half a billion dollars and more. It's not just the missing coins. That kind of stuff I can maybe see happening with that idiot at the helm. What really bothers me is the missing 100 million in the bank. Hackers got into the bank accounts and wired out that much money with nobody noticing? GTFO. I used to work for mid size bank and someone requested a 4 million dollar wire once. Do you know how many eyes that opened? Our fraud department went ape shit. I think there's a lot of players behind the scene here and were only beginning to see the first pieces being moved on the board.

Definitely a far-out theory, but who's to say Newsweek
wasn't played by Gox...to draw media attention away
from all those stolen coins?

Unlikely, perhaps... Still, creating 'events' and such is a favorite
tactic used by politicians to divert attention away
from real issues.

I literally just posted something talking about the same thing without reading your thread first. I'm glad to see you are thinking the same thing. This is just too perfect man. The biggest bitcoin scandal hits and omg look over here it's satoshi! Everybody quick change the subject the bitcoin creator magically resurfaces. My bullshit flag is thrown.

It's good to see the mtgox and foundation stuff starting to get fired up and talked about here again. I for one think the whole satoshi bullshit that's happening right now was a clever ruse to draw attention away from the scandal. I don't want to be a weird tinfoil conspiracy theorist but none of this smells right.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi ruined a poor man's life on: March 07, 2014, 02:59:52 PM
And how is his life ruined? They said hes the possible creator of bitcoin. It's not like hes been added to the sex offender list. All this stuff is silly and out of hand.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] Dorian S. Nakamoto clears his name in interview with AP on: March 07, 2014, 02:58:15 PM
After years of coding, gavin never met or spoke with Satoshi in the beginning?

This is still going on right phin?
74  Other / Meta / Re: End of newbie restrictions; ban changes on: March 07, 2014, 04:46:54 AM
I think it was a good experiment. I also think it's run it's course and has failed. Respectfully request you reinstate the old methods. The forums are full of trash and scammers now.

76  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 22 Mining Rigs on: April 12, 2013, 05:21:12 PM
Sorry I've been busy at work. Price would just need to be something fair. Maybe $500 a machine? What are you're thoughts on this?
77  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 22 Mining Rigs on: April 10, 2013, 08:39:51 PM

78  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS WOW Account on: October 21, 2012, 11:25:10 PM
Also this account has the Diablo 3 Collectors Edition. And the Pandaren Expansion is the Collectors Edition so it does come with the Epic Mount.

There's also a 71,52,51,40 and a couple others on the accounts. 6500 G between chars. Plenty of Epics between all of them. Plenty of crafting skills 375+ and plenty of craft mounts. Turbo flying chopper. Epic flying on many. Too much to list. Has the Pandaren Expansion. Account is active.

Curious to see how much someone is willing to pay in bitcoin for transfer. Ready to sell if the price is fair. Discuss?

Thanks so much,
Brad
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [SPAMMER ALERT] Las BitVegas is spamming using the old leaked MtGox database on: September 27, 2011, 02:06:02 AM
I know that seems shady but if you think about it that was just a good idea. pinpoint marketing. maybe in bad taste though
