61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins get confiscated? on: April 03, 2015, 08:45:57 AM
This is how you confiscate bitcoins:

"You know you are facing 20-25 years, right?! If you co-operate and provide us with your bitcoins we will make sure you only see 5 years in prison. If you don't play ball, we will also charge you with obstruction of justice and that will get you another 10 years".

That is why people should opt for storing their coins in a more secure way. But I suppose its only people running an illegal operation or some big operation, who usually will have to do that.

I am sure Ross would have a lot of more coins stored away somewhere.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - LARGEST BITCOIN SPORTSBOOK - POKER - BLACKJACK on: March 27, 2015, 09:30:40 PM
Is there a way to cancel a bet which is made for a game 2 months in the future ? I just made it so that I don't forget about the game and now need the money.
63  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What's the total cost to start a gambling site? on: March 20, 2015, 09:09:01 AM
Usually depends on the kind of site you want to launch. It isn't necessary that you have to bankroll it. Sites like poker require no bankroll, but only the initial cost of launching the site. You can do that for anywhere between 1-10 BTC or more, all depending on the kind of website you want to launch.
64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any Tips for getting a Start with Bitcoins? on: March 20, 2015, 09:06:48 AM
The marketplace is the best place to start. Try selling digital /physical goods, or offer a service to be paid in bitcoin. Thats probably the only legit way to earn bitcoin.
65  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Photos from a Mexican drug lord's home after it was raided last year. on: March 15, 2015, 08:35:54 PM
"The money and valuables found in this one house alone, would be enough to pay for health insurance for every man woman and child in the USA for 12 years!"

That is a crazy amount of money. If the government confiscates it, then why don't they use it for the good ?
66  Other / Politics & Society / Suicide bombers kill 15 people outside Pakistani churches on: March 15, 2015, 08:28:04 PM
In other unfortunate events around the globe. "Suicide bombers kill 15 people outside Pakistani churches"

Pakistani Taliban suicide bombers exploded themselves near two churches in the eastern city of Lahore on Sunday as worshippers were gathered inside, killing 15 people, officials said, in the latest attack against religious minorities in the increasingly fractured country.

67  Other / Off-topic / Re: Has anyone used google adsense does it pay on: March 15, 2015, 11:46:30 AM
Yes it pays, but you need a good website with a large traffic to make it worth it.
68  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Methods of getting free electricity on: March 14, 2015, 10:01:50 AM
I used to work at this company which used to pay my electricity bills. I think I could have taken advantage of that to run miners, but a sudden rise of cost might have tipped them off. So I didn't.
But Thats the only way I can think of getting free-electricity.

The only thing I have ever had close is student housing.  It is more and more common with student appartments to include electricity with a cap price.  Mine it was included and the highest "peak" they would charge is 25 dollars extra.

That being said they are not built for mining or lots of watts.   Also I did not do it as It would have been kinda a ass move as my roommates would have paid higher price (25 dollars each) if I abused it.

Back in college I had a similar option too, but the problem was that the power that could be drawn wasn't a lot. The whole system used to trip everytime I connected something like a Heater. So as for miners, thats the last thing I would expect to be able to use on those systems.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Updated] Choices for earning BTC interest on: March 14, 2015, 09:59:05 AM
bter was giving interests on bitcoins on their website, now see what happened to it. it is closed up!
so i prefer saving my bitcoins with myself and don't worry about an small interest rate, while accepting the risks

If they were, not that I heard about it. Then it was obvious they were planning to get the exchange hacked and claim to have lost it all.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buying Bitcoins With DOGECOINS on: March 12, 2015, 05:23:19 PM
you guys will never learn! there is 5 major exchanges you can trade DOGE/BTC...

It might be that the op is looking to purchase a large amount, where in he will be driving the price up on the exchange. He might be interested in purchasing at a fixed price.

I am going to stick with bitcoin. Over long term I only see that as being the best option.
76  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better Call Saul - Win or Fail? on: March 11, 2015, 05:32:36 AM
I have been enjoying the show as well. Its definitely different if yoy expected it to be like Breaking bad, but definitely something I would not have missed.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoins ever going to get rid of fiat? on: March 11, 2015, 05:30:24 AM
I doubt it will ever happen. For the first reason, never ever will we have people who will all be able to have a mobile phone or other tech that they will be able to carry around. So they will stil be using fiat almost forever.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blocknet, Etherium or Maidsafe - which is the best? on: March 11, 2015, 05:26:36 AM
Still waiting for the release of Ethereum . So wouldn't be able to comment on it yet.
As for the others, I am also pretty much unaware about them.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Jobs on: March 11, 2015, 05:24:09 AM
Is it just me who thinks so , or you guys haven't heard the name of the company as well before ?
I have never actually heard of the company before and see a lot of discussion lately.

Any reason for it to be the hot topic for discussion ?
80  Economy / Gambling / Re: Now That SWC Is Off The Grid on: March 11, 2015, 05:03:38 AM
The only other sites I have been playing on are betcoin for the tournaments. They are much like Stars and have tournaments running throughout the day . As for Cash games, I still prefer seals and hope that the traffic comes back again to the site.
