The utility and function of the coin has not change. Low price actually reduce risk and encourage investors to buy.

I look at some coins like NODES and NEM which claim to be new codes but how do we know they are not just ripping off and plagiarising the NXT code?
I'm not technical but can you rip off the basic shell of a coin, use another programming language to cover it up more and say it's started 'from scratch' as a non technical person I personally don't have the skills to look at 'new' coins and know if they are ultimately and to what degree they have 'borrowed' ideas off NXT.
I'm sure NEM and NODE defenders will need to be heard but my point is can we really know even when we see the source code?
Open source project is not without drawback. Anyone can just copy your idea and work and put more effort into marketing their own coin.

It is just another worthless coin in the making. I doubt anyone will be brave enough to put money into altcoin again.

they only got 26k or so total and only a few thousand have moved. why would this "kill bitcoin"? even 26k being dumped across a few exchanges would not be that big of a deal.
The market depth can not absorb 26k coins without the price going down by a lot. Yeah obviously a 26 k dump will send bitcoin price way down, but they say they will only sell 3k now, which already have been sold.. thats why the price dropped like 80 usd. And they will hold the remaining amount. Kind of tell people how shallow the buy side for bitcoin is. Any whale can cause bitcoin to crash a lot.

Sell in May and go away. BTW - Bitcoin was $100 in August 2013. Tell me which bank savings' plan or portfolio brings a 5 fold return?
Doesn't 5 folds return scare you even a little? What happen if it dropped 30-40% from here?

Quite a lot of money disappeared into thin air.
Judging from the price action and TA indicator, the price drop is not over.

But I'll be back in 2 years.
I'll be back in 2 years with my 250 BTC.
8/15/2016, save the date.
I'll buy you all icecream. Even you, falllling. But by then..you'll be rissssing!
Until then, listen to logic...not your emotions.
Or don't.
Bump this thread in 2 years like people are bumping the 2011-2012 threads.
At what price did you buy the 250 BTC? Mind posting your wallet?

All I can say is people are retarded
So some nerd named Vitalik cashes out a million dollars of Bitcoin, who gives a flip.
The foundation is weak then if the market can't take 2000 btc dump from Ethereum. Vitalik and friends still control over 10,000 BTC, imagine the coming cash out on every rally or they might just dump the coin regardless of the price.

LTC has never have any big rally since Dec/Jan.
I won't call the coin dead yet, but its future is not looking bright.
|
|
|
How about a coin that will only go up in price?
|
|

As hate as I like to admit, falllling is right on bitcoin.

Then you shouldn't be buying Bitcoin in the first place.
Cowards.
Good point. In any case, there have been a lot of weak hand that bought recently and need to be shaken out by the correction.

If I held LTC I would avoid selling now. The worst of the crash is probably over as LTC is now almost 90% off its peak. The chances of it doubling in value from here are, I feel, much greater than the chance of it crashing lower to $2.40.
Problem is there are a lot of miners have pre-order ASIC miner that deliver a few months down the road. They will need to sell at whatever price to recoup part of their investment.

Write a flexible trading bot for some of the major exchanges. I am sure if the price is low enough (10-20 dollars per license), you can sell a lot of copies here.

Voted BitcoinExpress. Keep seeing his name on some of the threads/posts I read.

Lots of useless coin out there with no development and no support.
Won't call one coin more underrated than another.

If the CIA created bitcoin then why in the hell would the secret service and the other agencies try to higher people from this forum to help them understand bitcoin? Even the CIA themselves hired Gavin to talk to them about bitcoin... what a silly idea...
There are probably different level of secrecy for secret agency. Or they may just trying to create a smoke screen for denialbility for the project they themselves created.

At least 5 years down the road for the price to reach 5k+.
That is assuming if bitcoin is still around and reign supreme over other alt coins.

actually bitmit was probably one of the most successful businesses which ran into legal problems (I believe).
I thought their hotwallet were hacked by the hosting company employee and then decided to close it down. Nah, I gues they gave a notice to all their users that they're about to close down and everyone was still able to withdraw their coins. This ain't another Gox or Bitfunder... It's a rare thing, in Bitcoin world, though ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) The shut down was due to coin hacked and they paid out stolen coin out from their own pocket. Do not guess and spread rumor if you don't have the fact.
