If it's 2.30pm GMT +8, the it would be in 40 minutes. So I guess none is sold yet.
Propably those who get in the first batch see some nice returns, but if they produce more than one it'll be just another D3.
Also, looks like they're limiting it to 1/person.

Looks like sales start in 40 minutes. Payment will be bitcoin cash only. Looks like a limit of 1 per person as well.

Receiving "Socket connect failed: Connection refused" for 3 miners. Bitmain replaced Controller board for 1 of them but now refuses to send me replacement board for the other 2 and are not replying to my ticket for over 3 weeks. Beware of buying into this crap. This is the end of bitcoin and antminers to me.
That's probably because the "Socket connect failed: Connection refused" error usually means that your pool configuration is bad (or possibly your networking). Sometimes it can also be the firmware. What pool(s) are you using? Do you have any other AntMiner S9s that are working? What are the firmware versions for each of the miners (Logic Version from the System -> Overview tab)?

We also prefer bitmainwarranty.com over bitmain (proper). They’re much faster and the saved time is worth the fee.

someone said they announce the next batch on their twitter account
Sometimes they announce on twitter, but I'd say at least 1/3 of the batches they release are never pre-announced. That's why many of us are constantly monitoring Bitmain's site and social feeds using various tools. I'm partial to "Website Watcher" by Aignes, but there are many other options.

You should be lucky guys to get your mid Jan miners now, I assume you are in the US? Mine we from december 20 onwards batch and I just got the notice that they are released from Customs and ready to be taken home (location = Europe)
was taxed about 39 usd on 1 unit Wow, really? I got 20% customs duties, so this means 300 USD for each Antminer S9 and 30 USD for each PSU. Plus around 50 USD taxes from DHL to deliver them Thats why sadly, brown is the best option at this time. It cost more in initial shipping, but import taxes are WAY lower. I so miss the days of fedex dropping the package for $40 shipping and no customs fees or bullshit. Big brother on em guys. They watching this shit like a hawk! If you didn't notice, to even receive a $1500 or higher customs package through UPS, you will/may be asked to give personal data to the customs official before they release the package. Also, once you do, they won't stop future packages again, but this means they now can track every one from that point on. Totally sucks. They know whos buying and keeping list, trust me. Scrap' Hey, do you mean that by choosing the more expensive option with UPS - you got lower fees and better service? It was actually a small hell on Earth dealing with DHL guys here. Also, don't you guys have 20% customs duties for everything shipped from outside the US? No, that is not accurate. UPS/FedEx/DHL do not set the customs rate. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is responsible for the rates and the carrier simply forwards the bill to you. For years, Bitmain was able to successfully ship to the US with tariff (HS) code 8471.41.0150 (automatic data processing machines). Unfortunately, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection department has decided that cryptocurrency mining hardware does not meet the description and should actually be classified as tariff (HS) code 8543.70.9960 with a 2.6% tariff rate. We spent a lot of effort attempting to convince them that these were automatic data processing machines and therefor should be subject to a 0% tariff, but we were unsuccessful. The determining factor is that these devices cannot be used for general processing and any device that is designed to "only do 1 thing" does not meet the definition of automatic data processing machine. This was very frustrating for us and cost us $40k in retroactive fees for 2017. tl;dr - going forward, you should expect a 2.6% tariff on any incoming AntMiner. You may get lucky if Customs doesn't correct what Bitmain puts on the form, but I wouldn't count on it. Also, this does not include the carrier charge for dealing with customs. This fee is normally less than $50 and is per order, not per package.

I'd love to see 2 versions of AntMiner S-series for the "11". One should be focused on staying at or below 1200W so that everyone who uses the APW3++ can purchase one without having to worry about needing 220v power, The other should shoot for the full 1600W that the APW3++ can handle on a 220v circuit.
I dont like running a PSU at max capacity, more efficient at lower loads, probably longer lifetime on the PSUs aswell! I'd agree if we were talking about consumer grade PSUs, which are never designed to be at 100% load. Server grade PSUs on the other hand can handle 100% load 24/7. Regardless, you understand my desire. 1 model that maxes out the APW3++ @ 110v and 1 model that maxes out the APW3++ at 220v.

I finally got some payment confirmations from Bitmain this evening for the two batches that sold earlier today. Definitely took longer than normal.

Yup, I'm happy that half of our January orders have shipped - but it's certainly hard to plan with Bitmain pulling stuff like this. It would go a long way if they would simply email their customers to explain the delay.

Can you actually get the machine from bitmain, though? They usually sell out their pre-orders in minutes. If you've ever wondered why, it's because some people have done enough business with them that they can just make a phone call and pre-order the pre-order, leaving scraps for individual retail buyers...
I can assure you, Bitmain does not allow large customers (at least not from the US) to have access or knowledge of preorders before everyone else. We do a lot of business through Bitmain, but have never been able to get special treatment. If you have info that says otherwise, please let me know - I'd love to get special treatment ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Looks just like the rest of the scam sites. I wouldn't trust it.

I'd love to know if the warranty can be transferred to other people. With a minimum order quantity of 100 units, I'm hoping the answer is yes.

Well I just noticed Bitmain changed my Dec 21-30 batch order to Jan 11-20! Wtf
Confirmed. I expect we'll be receiving coupons as compensation.
