61  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Signs that show you're losing interest in your Bitcoin investment on: July 17, 2024, 05:39:38 PM
The start of every journey comes with seriousness and total commitment to the set goal but when you continue doing it for a long time, interest may fizzle out gradually and with time, the chance of staying committed to reaching your goal may become almost impossible.

As Bitcoin investors, the start of our investment is always amazing and the joy that we're building our Bitcoin portfolio overwhelms us and serves as a core motivation that keeps us going in our accumulation but along the way, we might start losing interest gradually and if we don't pay attention to the process, we might not know until it becomes impossible for us to continue on our accumulation goals.

So what are the signs to look out for as what shows we've started losing interest in our Bitcoin investments?

1. We become inconsistent with our DCA: when we've decided that we're buying $30 worth of BTC every week and then start missing out on most weeks, it shows we're losing interest in our Bitcoin investments.

2. We start selling part of our holding: when we break our own rule we've set that we won't sell our holding until we've reached a certain amount and can easily sell out our holding when a slight thing comes up, it means we've started losing interest in our Bitcoin investments

3. When We get easily moved by media sentiment and slow down at buying Bitcoin because of what anti Bitcoinner are saying about Bitcoin HODLers, it shows our interest has started coming down.

When you start noticing one, some, or all of these things, it shows you're losing interest in your investment and the best thing to do is to look at what caused the decline in your belief in Bitcoin and fix it ASAP.

Let's add what we think are the signs that show one is losing interest in his Bitcoin investment.
Hence your passionate about your bitcoin investment plan, nothing will deter you or make you lose focus, haven known the potential bitcoin is associated with, even the though you see media sentiment and any other form of attack on bitcoin. As an investor it is believed that you are matured and you understand how the psychology of how the market works, if the price of bitcoin goes down today, that is an opportunity for you to even buy, and not for you to have panic attack because the price will definitely push up again.

For me the only sign that will make me want to look as if I'm beginning to lose a bit of interest in my investment is when I don't have the financial muscle to pull through on my bitcoin investment, because ordinarily I don't see what will make me want to lose out on a financially pathway so promising as bitcoin.

62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 17, 2024, 03:02:37 PM

Lukaku has been moving on loan for a couple of years now, i hope he can finally be sold now and move away from Chelsea for good, all these different loan moves hasn't helped his career, though i know it is due to his transfer fee and salary/wages. If Napoli sell Osimhen, they will receive a lot of money from the transfer, so they should be able to use that and fund a transfer for Lukaku.
I feel Napoli are hesitant to sell Osimhen out because it might be hard to get his replacement but from what I've seen of Lukaku, he fits the bill. Granted, he may not be able to leap in the air like the Nigerian, but he can still be able to use his size to his benefit. Truely, the Belgian needs to be bought permanently by a club because continuous loaning of a player can affect his performance; he won't be able have roots.
As for Osimhen, he should leave the club now he's still a hot cake because the way I see it, if he continues to remain at Napoli and doesn't give good results, his value will be dropping gradually especially now that Antonio Conte has taken over the job from Walter as coach. I doubt he'd be seeing much playing time like enjoyed under Walter and the coaches before him.
Napoli signing Lukaku is solely dependent on the sale of Osimhen. Yes, Conte has let the club understand his preferred Candidate in the attack. I believe that the club willl begin talk with Chelsea when they can finalize Osimhen deal.
Right now, there are speculations that PSG has started discussing with Osimhen entourage. I think PSG x Osimhen is one to watch for the window.
Although they plan to sell to be able to make concrete move for him.  But he’s on their radar.
Yeah I've heard the rumours going round that victor osimhen might likely seal a deal with Paris Saint-Germain, as Kylian Mbappé has left for Real Madrid, PSG definitely needs a solid replacement and osimhen isn't a bad choice to fill in that vacuum. As for Napoli going for Lukaku, conte will definitely go for Lukaku if osimhen moves to PSG, the dou have enjoyed memories together in Chelsea, so it's more of a reunion for them. But can Lukaku replace the firewpower that was burning in Victor osimhen, I think that is what conte should be looking out for.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you developing as a player? on: July 17, 2024, 01:40:26 PM
I want to ask everyone interested in the topic of betting a question: are you developing as a betting player? Now I don't mean casino games that are completely dependent on luck. I write about sports and other bets in which you can make a profit in the long term, although it is very difficult and the percentage of such players is very small.
I also ask that those who “play for fun” not take part in the discussion. Such people, in my opinion, have little valuable to say on this topic.
If you take your entire gaming history, would you say that you have learned anything during this time?
In other words, are you progressing as a player? Is your strategy improving? Is the quality of risk management and money management improving? Have you learned to control your emotions? Are your winning statistics stable? Do losses keep you out of the game? Have you learned to recover from losses? Are you getting better at predicting the results of sports matches?
For me it's more of mixed feelings, because I've lost countlessly and I've won countlessly too, I do keep track of some of the games I've lost in the past because I try not to select those options again, at least for the once i could remember.

Going back memory lane, I would say a serious gamblers doesn't have one strategy, winning comes with a combination of different strategies, because no strategy is certain, I remember one time that i use to select very few football games so I can get just 2 odds, with that those 2 odds, I will give high stake on it, at first I was winning because the fewer the games the better your winning chances, after a long while that strategy  stopped working, even the least 1.5 single odds too will disappoint you. So I started adopting different approach and strategies on my betting skills over the years.

The only way I've learnt to control my emotions is by not taking any lost to heart, it's more like a normal thing to me now, because I already know that the games I've selected might not come out 100 percent the way i want, but along the line, if i see a significant cashout flash on my dashboard, I will just take it and try again next time.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a gambler becomes addicted? Lose/winning? on: July 16, 2024, 11:09:19 PM
Many of you have seen an addicted gamblers and if am correct some of us have been addicted to gamble but fortunately for you, you were lucky to realize how bad addiction can be and you limit yourself from gamble or take a break from anything bets.
However, it's just a simple question about addicted gamblers, like the topic above.
What really makes a gambler to become addicts to gamble?
Lose or winning?

What makes most people get addicted to gambling cannot be limited to just two factors, there are different reasons why most people get addicted to gambling, a lot has been mentioned already by members of the community, but basically one of the major factor is greed, as most gamblers don't know when to stop, and this can snowball into an unconscious addictive gambling lifestyle.

Between a lose or win. if you've lost too much in your betting, I think common sense should tell you that, you should stop and have a break before you go Bankrupt, because losses is not a good form of reinforcement or motivation.

Winning is good form of motivation, so most persons can be addicted based on their frequent winnings ways, But when addiction is involved, it connotes a different meaning because the person's psychology has been affected and that is not good for anybodys mental health, so to a large extent, winning can build some form of addiction to a gambler.
65  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Nigeria’s Forex Reserves Exceed $35bn — CBN on: July 16, 2024, 08:55:43 PM
https://www.channelstv.com/2024/07/11/nigerias-forex-reserves-exceed-35bn-cbn/

CBN and government had finished their manipulations. It is good they know that one dollar can not stay below 1000 naira. It is above $1560 now but the Nigerian foreign reserves have increased, unlike when the naira became the best performing currency that disrupted the Nigerian economy because the CBN was forcing it to be like that with manipulations when it was supposed to be one of the worst performing currency.
Even with this announcement the CBN has made and it's making it look like there is enough dollar or Forex reserve in the system, just take your time and walk into any Nigerian commercial Bank and ask them to give you as little as $50, they will tell you they don't have. travellers that needs dollars will have to sort it out from the black market dealers at high rate, some times the difference between the black market and the CBN rate is close to 300N.
Every now and then the CBN will just wake up with one gaslighting headline or the other just to make us believe they've been working, when the reality is telling on the faces of Nigerians.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: Visibilities of decentralized BTC and the anonymous Fiats system on: July 16, 2024, 04:34:23 PM
And sadly even the coins have been retrieved from the hackers, the coins didn't back to the exchanges, but the government will claim the coins belongs to them.

Government is the only criminal that can act anything they want without receive any punishment, if the other organization did same, the government will say that organization is a criminal because they don't want to lose their money.
You're absolutely correct, the Government hides under the constitution and perpetuate evil, they inflates contracts and get kickback's from the contractors. Imagine if bitcoin is the Government authorised legal tender in most countries of the world today, it will be easy to trace all governments expenditures for every fiscal year. in so doing, it will reduce official corruption to the lowest minimum. Here we are talking about hackers been traced and the coins retrieved, but in the government case, you will see a situation where the national budget will be padded so as the politicians will get their own cut of the national cake without any trace or anybody being held accountable.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitMex Founder Accuses Trump of Being Insincere About His Support for Crypto on: July 16, 2024, 12:38:53 PM
I don't agree with Mr. Hayes, but he gave some advice to the crypto community. He said that crypto voters (if there's anything like that) should ask elected officials to push for pro-crypto laws before election day.

Quote
Some readers may believe this essay is a thinly veiled attempt to poison the minds of pro-crypto Trump supporters. I am not a member of either political party, nor do I care who wins the US Presidential election. The party in power has the means and motive to do whatever it takes to remain in power. This is even more true if the ruling party has done questionable things to block the opposition from taking the reins. That is why it’s more effective to work with the Democratic party. If the situation were reversed, I would advocate supporting the Republicans. The point is that, in a highly polarized two-party system, being partisan is detrimental to achieving your single-issue policy goal.

Copycat

If crypto voters in the US can pass a simple yet profound piece of pro-crypto legislation, it will be highly publicized. As a result, it will politically activate crypto holders in other jurisdictions where a small, vocal, and focused minority voting bloc can achieve legislative results.

Look how quickly Hong Kong and the London Stock Exchanges launched or scheduled launches of Bitcoin spot Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) once the US listed an ETF. Nation-state competition is our friend. Suppose there is a serious effort to use this unique moment in history to push through a transformative, simple, yet effective piece of pro-crypto legislation in the US. In that case, it behooves non-Americans to help the cause.

Helping the cause means shaming individuals and companies that propose legislation that reeks of crypto-crony capitalism. Helping the cause means analyzing and offering feedback on serious proposals. Helping the cause means demanding that those who claim to champion crypto politically in the US not accept the empty platitudes of politicians seeking reelection but demand concrete action now before the votes are cast. And finally, helping the cause means organizing a similar effort in your country if it is a representative democracy featuring highly polarized political parties where no one party has an overwhelming majority.

https://cryptohayes.substack.com/p/hot-chick

It is best to push for pro crypto laws that are favourable for the cryptocurrency market before elections are held, because it easy to hold politicians at the jugular for them to do your bidding as citizen before they are elected, so if there are intending laws that Donald Trump wants put or initiate for the betterment of the crypto space, then we should start seeing them.

Though this is political season in the U.S, so most persons on the political divide will see this article as an attack on their own political party, no matter how neutral the author of the article would want to sound.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 15, 2024, 04:49:07 PM
Since Manchester United couldn't get good results in the last season with Ten Hag they decided to keep the coach and hire more -layers to get the team improved and this will be easier for them since they won't need to make big changes in the team.
Now it seems Manchester United hired Joshua Zirkzee the player of Bologna for five years.
They will pay 42.5 million euros for three years for this Dutch player.

Nooo way, Joshua Zirkzee is taking big risk to join Manchester United instead of Milan, he must able to show off if he can score many goals, if not Manchester United will prioritize Hojlund over him. I think he choose Manchester United because the team is more popular and the manager speak same language, but Manchester United isn't a place to develop your potential.

Many good players who joined Manchester United suffered performance declines.
LoL i just read through your comment and I couldn't hold back my laughter, so Manchester united has become this worse that you think the youngster will not do too well with the RED DEVILS.
The thing is that, Ten hag has been criticized enough during last season, and I think he is putting up a strong army for which Joshua zirkzee will be part of this coming season. Manchester united needs Frontliners that will create opportunities for goals, so believe he can be shuffling Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford and Joshua zirkzee or sometimes give a perfect blind of the various Frontliners.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being hesitant could make or break you. on: July 15, 2024, 04:22:08 PM
An event from the European football championships final - Spain vs England was almost turning into a disaster for three young men on their youth corp service program/camp , just about half a mile away from where I reside.. " I heard people screaming terribly and I had to look below from my balcony". It was an intense argument about one of them being too hesitant in wagering a bigger amount, and the rest being too afraid to make any bookings at all. It was a 2.98 odds on Spain and 3.69 odds on England at around the time of booking.
He managed to win 100k from the little he was able to summon up courage with.

What's the best way to overcome the problems of uncertainty and hesitation when determining an amount to wager?
Gambling is risk, you just have to look beyond your hesitation and stake what you can afford to lose, the rest of the two guys that weren't as courageous as him will only standby and watch him celebrate his win or celebrate along with him, because if they had taken the same risk as the winner did, they would have all been celebrating their wins together.

Opportunities like this don't always present themselves in the gambling world, so if you see an opportunity, just grab it, some person's go as far as sharing their money into two places just to stake on the both teams to win on different slips, whichever that enters is a win-win for them.

70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 15, 2024, 02:22:32 PM
The Spanish players have the mentality on the field especially Yamal, Olmo and William these players are quite important for Spain they have a big contribution to the Spanish victory in addition Olmo made a great save, if there was no him at the back maybe the score would be 2-2 but fate says otherwise that Olmo is said to be special because he helped save Spain.

Whenever Harry Kane reaches a final and he fails to win a trophy then many people will attribute that it is a curse but this is true he has never won a single trophy with any club.
Can Harry Kane be called a jinx? Not really, he's done a lot for the club but it's just unfortunate that he's always missing out on trophies, which is a shame.
Spain played very well, and it's not Kane's fault that England can't win, I'm sure he's not the only player who still remains without trophies. I really hope that this season he will be able to win several trophies with Bayern at once, so that Kane will finally stop being associated with this.

And I think that in any case it would have been difficult for England to beat Spain with such a game, they spent too much time near their goal, and it was good that they were able to take advantage of a quick attack, but this was not enough to count on victory. De La Fuente assembled a very strong team, they were immediately one of the contenders for victory.
Yes, Harry Kane cannot be blamed, even though in last night's match he didn't show a good performance, but if you look at England's game, the one who should be blamed is the coach, Southgate was unable to utilize his star players. It can be seen that England's game is having difficulty developing, the attacks that are built are very monotonous and easy for the Spanish players to guess, and only rely on long balls, not many surprises occurred in last night's match, making the match less interesting, England must immediately improve and immediately fire Southgate who must immediately considered.

I have no doubts that Spain will become European champions this year, it's clear they control the game on the pitch very well. Once again, congratulations to the Spanish national team for becoming Euro champions in 2024
I don't agree with you on blaming Gareth Southgate, his tactics where logically and the team defended quite well, Harry Kane lost out at some point in the game, but that was as a result of the way the Spanish defence keep him amd jude Bellingham. Kane is a player that stands as a threat on that Spanish defence wether you agree or not, because if the opportunity presence's itself, trust me he will score perfectly. The Spanish team are so fast with their ball movement, Nico Williams, Dani olmo, alvaro morata and yamal literally making the English defence busy at every, but then the English team tried to manage their defence all through.

The only blame I have for the England players was their inability to be proactive, they are always reactive. Before they equalize that first goal, they literally where incharge of the game, immediately they equalized, they began to relax, thereby allowing the Spanish team to gain momentum, which they eventually did and scored at the die minute of the game.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 Prediction Thread on: July 15, 2024, 03:19:40 AM
In today's copa America Argentina vs Colombia final match, Colombia is showing a really good performance. They are playing equally against a strong team like Argentina. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw with equal performances from both teams. Now the second half has started, as usual both teams continue to perform evenly. If the match continues like this, it will eventually go to Tribecar. Now let's see if Argentina can do anything before that.
Sincerely speaking I'm really surprised at Colombia's performance, they've been tackling Argentina with so much energy from the first half and up till over 70 minutes of play, though the Argentines have been showing a good level of experience football, but unfortunately for them their talisman Lionel Messi has been brought out due to hamstring injury he has sustained and that has caused a bit of setback for them.

Luis diaz, James Rodriguez and few others Frontliners are finding it difficult to breakthrough the Argentina defensive which is looking solid like the wall of Gibraltar, though Colombia too are a bit solid with their defense but most times Angel di maria still dribbling his way in sometime and causes a lot of panic from his wing with his moves. It's 80 minutes of play and still goalless from both sides, looks like we are going to witness extra time of play.
72  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Problem of native language identity cause for concern, if not now in the future on: July 13, 2024, 04:54:03 PM
It is true that Nigeria has hundreds of languages. Choosing one could be judged as tribalism or neglect of others. Making it seem like others are not important or necessary. But there is a truth that having a unified language can strengthen a Nation's identity here in the forum or in other diversified places.

Pidgin is a Lingua Franca and not a Native language but it is expected that the local board should be a place for us to speak our Native language. The question could be is Pidgin our native language? I saw a thread discussing where one member was saying he sees Nigerians speak Pure English and sometimes Pidgin that he is not sure if we have a native language unlike other LB in the forum which is obvious you can see them speak fluently in their native language.

However, cheers to all of us who have managed tp promote unity and national identity without imposing a single language here in the forum, but we shouldn't forget that anyone can infiltrate our local board speaking a pure English, disguising as a member of the LB. Or dont we think so?
Nigeria is a country of diverse language, so we cannot unanimously choose a particular language to be spoken here in the LB. our diversity in language difference is what makes us unique. so for the adoption of pidgin English and English language for the local board is a welcome development. If people from other countries want to engage us here in the local board, then so be it, we are open to discuss issues that surrounds us in Nigeria and also in the diaspora.

Also in the future I don't see it causing any problem as you've pointed OP, because even as citizens in Nigeria we don't have a single native language that everyone speaks apart from English language and pidgin, yet we've been living together with mixed tribes in peace and harmony.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: July 13, 2024, 03:48:30 PM

https://dailypost.ng/2024/07/12/nff-reportedly-offer-herve-renard-e2million-salary-to-coach-super-eagles/
The Nigeria Football Federation are now in contacting with Herve Renard seeking for his services in the position of the head coach of the Super Eagles after Finidi Goerge resignation due to losses of the Nigeria super eagles in the qualifier games under his management. For which which many argued he was incompetent for the job. But here's Renard are we sure he's going to take up the task? I heard the NFF are offering to pay 2 million euros as salary.

Renard is one foreign coach that is well acquainted with the African football games, and following his profile as the only foreign coach that have won the African cup of Nations twice, may be , he can bring back some hopes if he eventually takes up the job.
Well the first thing to take now is that he obviously has a strong record and that's what counts although even if he indeed signs the contract, he still needs to perform some magic to be able to see Nigeria scale through in terms of the world cup qualifications because their chances now are very slim after the series of disappointment that occured with the super eagles and George finidi.
I think it's due to the 50/50 chances of the Super Eagles qualifying for the world cup qualification that they are out for someone who's with a high propensity of scaling the Super Eagles through and not just an average coach. Knowing what is at stake It's seem Renard believes he can actually deliver that's why he's asking for a huge pay salary for the role. Nigeria didn't qualify to the immediate past world cup and that was so embarrassing, it would be worst we don't qualify for a second time in a row.  if Renard has what magic he can use to scale the super eagles through despite where we are now then it's worth giving him a shot.
Herve Renard will do little to salvage the super Eagles to qualify for the world cup, because the time frame to select various players that he would have wanted to help out in this situation is short. The huge pay he is requesting for is because he knows that if he doesn't succeed with the qualification, the Nigerian football federation will call for his sack almost immediately, because the NFF is always impatient with results, so most coaches already know about that. So Renard is giving the NFF the shorter part of the stick by demanding for a huge pay.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Are business partners worth it. on: July 13, 2024, 02:05:32 PM
I was reading about partnership business and I came across this article somewhere, we’ve all heard the horror stories about business partnerships gone wrong – disagreements, legal battles, and even, in extreme cases, assassinations. But on the flip side, we see famed partnerships in developed countries that have stood the test of time and grown into industry giants. Think of Google, founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, or Apple, started by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.

Though partnerships can be incredibly rewarding, they aren’t for everyone. If you’re considering entering into one, it’s crucial to be well-informed about the potential risks and benefits.

The Pros of Business Partnerships
Shared Resources and Skills: Pooling resources can enhance operational capacity.
Partners can bring complementary skills, enriching the business.

Increased Capital: Financial contributions from partners can provide a stronger capital base, facilitating growth and stability.

Shared Risk: Partners share the financial and operational risks, reducing individual burden.

Enhanced Network: Access to a wider network of contacts and potential clients through your partner.

The Cons of Business Partnerships: Conflict Potential:Differences in vision, work style, and decision-making can lead to conflicts.

Shared Profits: Profits must be divided, potentially reducing individual financial gain.

Legal and Financial Liability: Each partner is liable for the actions of the other, which can complicate legal and financial responsibilities

Decision-Making Challenges: Slower decision-making processes due to the need for consensus.

Best Practices for Successful Partnerships:
Clear Agreements: Draft a detailed partnership agreement outlining roles, responsibilities, profit-sharing, and exit strategies.

Aligned Vision and Goals: Ensure both partners share a common vision and business goals to prevent future conflicts.

Effective Communication: Maintain open, honest, and regular communication to address issues promptly and keep the partnership strong.

Defined Roles and Responsibilities: Clearly define each partner’s role and responsibilities to avoid overlap and confusion.

Conflict Resolution Mechanisms: Establish mechanisms for resolving conflicts early to prevent disputes from escalating.

This push me to ask "Are Business Partners truely Worth it"??

https://kudikonsult.com/are-business-partnerships-worth-it/
When it comes to partnership in a business environment, it is always advisable to have a clear cut understanding of the both parties agreement, there should be set up agreement signed by both parties in the presence of their lawyers or some form of sworn affidavit to show proof of partnership. The reason for some of this agreement is that, at the long run, if the business partnership is successful and disagreement occurs, both parties will now how to share the profit and go solo in peace.

But the best thing is to start up a business venture on your own without a partner if you have the resource, because it will sometimes save you the stress of wanting to wait for the response of your partner before initiating some transactions or executive some orders.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers➡Group Stage➡1/8➡QF➡HF➡FINAL on: July 13, 2024, 01:01:28 PM
Every prediction can still be wrong because we all don't know what will happen in the final match so England could get lucky again and win in the end. Because if I look at the performance of the Spanish players, it cannot be denied that they were the best during their time at the Euros this time. But I also don't ignore the other players in England who can also make big changes in the final match because this is the deciding match to become champions at Euro 2024.

What you say is true because so far the final match is usually a match that allows both teams to show their best performance, so anything is possible, although so far England has not performed well except for a slight improvement in yesterday semifinal match, but I hope Southgate will be able to create a significant difference in their game strategy to face Spain later, because it is not an easy thing to face a team that relies on team collectiveness in their game all this time, but one thing is certain I hope that the match between Spain and England will be became a fierce match and deserved to be the final match between two big teams.

With this both teams will definitely play their hardest. But even so I still feel that for now Spain is still slightly superior. Not that England will not fight back for this final match but looking at the Spanish style and their confidence against big clubs then I think that the victory will lean towards Spain in this final.

A lot of persons are already giving the Spanish team an edge over England, which I wouldn't want to argue about that because mere looking at the playing pattern of Spain, the teams they've been able to conquer before getting to this final stage, leaves them with a lot of advantage over England in the minds of a lot of football fans.

However Looking at both teams, England are a bit balanced when it comes to defence and their central midfield, the only thing they have found lacking is their attack, which has a more retroactive mindset of players instead of being proactive, they mostly like to pick charge when they've been scored first, then they begin to force the attack and probably equalize. The Spanish team on the other hand, are very fast with their movement of the ball and are good at cutting the ball in from the edge, which a very good attacking formation but their defence is not as good as that of the English team. So I'm open-minded as to seeing how the game will go, hopefully England will defensively control the ball to their own advantage.
76  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What better ways can Bitcoin contribute to the economic situation in the country on: July 12, 2024, 04:45:41 PM
I greet una my country people. As we all know this our country condition don dey pass be careful, things done dey get out of hand. My question Na how Bitcoin fit take in any way help in making Sure the less privilege fit afford to purchase or invest in Bitcoin through any ways, since we all know the hiking level now.
OP your topic and the body of your message is not correlating, first you're asking about how can Bitcoin help the economy of the country in your topic, while you're asking on the body of your text about the possibilities of the less privilege to be able afford Bitcoin given the hike in the prices of Goods and services, so for me there is a distinct difference between the both of them.

However in answering your question, first you must understand that to invest in Bitcoin you must have some  purchasing powers, and given the current rate of naira against the dollar, the less privilege will have double their effort to see how they can raise some reasonable amount to start their purchase or investment on Bitcoin, at least the DCA method can help out in this situation.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on favorites or upsets? on: July 12, 2024, 02:46:49 PM
In betting, we always need to want to make a profit, i.e. to win our bets.
To do so, we need a good analysis about odds and teams to bet on. If we are not doing our research, we won’t be able to generate as much profits as we want because we can fail. We always need to make a good analysis about odds and teams to bet on.

We have a few strategies available when it comes to 1x2 bets.

1x2 bets are generally very popular because it’s a very easy bet to bet on.
1 means home team will win
x means a draw will happen
2 means aways team will win

Now, we just need to find a game, when a favorite is playing or where possibly an upset can happen.

We can bet on favorites and make a profit from when favorites are winning. Odds are usually always lower when we will bet on favorites but we will make more often a profit when betting on favorites because favorite teams will win more often. A strategy to bet on favorites is generally less volatile for our bet balance.

We can bet on upsets and make a profit from when upsets are happening. Odds are usually always higher when we will bet on upsets but we will make less often a profit when betting on upsets because upsets will happen less often. A strategy to bet on upsets is generally more volatile for our bet balance.

Bets on favorites or upsets need to be considered carefully for which teams are playing and odds difference is also playing an important role. High odds for a favorite playing or high odds for an upset happening need to be evaluated carefully as well as when odds are just not good enough to go for a favorite winning or an upset happening.

We also need to consider aways or home games because it can make a big difference if a team plays at home or away. Usually, home teams have a considerable advantage and will win more often compared to away teams. But also, odds are lower if a team plays at home and odds will be higher, when a team plays away.
Home advantage needs to be considered as well because some teams are stronger at home compared to competitors.

When we square now favorites and upsets and away and home teams winning, we have plenty of opportunities to go for a bet and to make a profit. Bookmakers are offering a wide range on opportunities to bet on.
It is up to us now how we want to make a profit from a good strategy for our bets.
So, share your best strategies to bet on favorites or upsets.

OP this is more like a lecture for football betting. The thing with football betting is your ability to see beyond the ordinarily eyes, most analyst use their minds eyes to give out possible result that might come out from a game, even betting against the favorite team they support. High odds in every game are mostly a trap, because is likely that it might not go in favour of that high odd, so is better to avoid it and look for a more balanced odd and place your bet, sometimes a win or draw for the home team can go, since we recognize the advantage of the team.

However this home and away advantage doesn't really count for most games. A team with more tactical technique will win an opponent team that lacks those tactics wether home or away, those that watch football will agree with me on that.

Real Madrid is the most consistent team in the UCL cups and has won the most trophies. We can call them winners. Everything is in place for the next season. An important addition at Real Madrid, the transfer Mbappe is now with them. Real Madrid and Manchester City appear to be the best candidates for the Champions League cup.

Ancelotti uses the squad he knows very well. They didn't even have a centre-forward last season, but Ancelotti developed a game and system.
To say that they will be championship candidates again next season I would agree with that, but to say they are winners for next season I think is too hasty.
Even though I like this club and hope they win the Champions League again next season and even new targets such as the treble winner are always expected for Madrid but still saying they are winners from now on I think it's too much and seems arrogant, because after all the Champions League is not an easy competition and there will be many obstacles to become a winner in this competition. There are still some big clubs that are worth paying attention to, especially for Manchester City, which in the last few seasons they have always been successful in setting records at the end of the season.

So in this case we only need to see whether the loss of Nacho and Kroos in their defense and midfield and the arrival of Mbappe in attack can make Madrid more stable or not for next season.
Every other club are stepping up their team just as Real Madrid are doing while getting ready for the next season Champions league trophy, and no doubt that Real has dominated the Champions league competition in this recent years, and regardless of them being the current champions league winners, Champions league is still more of an open competition each season and no team is guaranteed of the winner even though it happens that Real Madrid is dominating the competition, we have quite number of strong Big teams that are fully ready to stop them come next season.
I absolutely agree with your line of thought. There is no doubt that Real Madrid are one of the best clubs when it comes to the champions League and we respect them for that, but people should not always capitalize on that and write off other teams. We all saw how the France squad for the Europe 2024 performed below the expectations of many, especially coming from the fact that they where finalist at the last world cup with Argentina and a lot of people where thinking that they will repeat the same thing in the Europe's but unfortunately it ended in deadlock for France.

In the minds of a lot of football fans, they have already guaranteed that Real Madrid are still going to win the champions League for next season, given the fact that they've added kylian mbappé to their squad, so automatically Real Madrid are unstoppable. They should be loudly be reminded that it doesn't always work like that in football, as other teams are springing up everyday with new tactical formations to counter Real Madrid.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why can Altcoins fail? on: July 12, 2024, 11:59:08 AM
Altcoins are not reliable for the long term, the successful tactics with alts is buying when no one is buying and selling when you are in profit, it is not something you cab hold for a long period of time.

If Bitcoin falls altcoins will lose value 2x, and even more, it is not a goof choice for a long term play obviously, but do not buy the idea that altcoins can't make you rich, the best money I made from crypto are all from altcoins, find the good ones and hold, when altcoins season begins you will be rewarded big time vs holding Bitcoin.
A Lot of this altcoin project where not even built for longevity, so finding the good one to hold might just be a waste of time. At best once you hold an altcoin for a short term and you've seen a seemingly double of your investment, you should take your profit almost immediately.

This kind of advise of waiting for an altcoin season to buy, is what has made a lot of people invest wrongly, we sometimes talk more about the success stories of how we where able to get good rewards from our altcoins investment, then talk less on the risk involved, just the way people that have invested in Tron are currently counting their losses, we should always balance the discussion by identifying the risk factors in some of this altcoins.
80  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why you should choose digital assets over physical assets. on: July 11, 2024, 05:26:51 PM
One sign that tells you that someone is still some centuries behind is when you talk about an investment option with them and all they talk about is physical assets. Some don't even see buying a digital asset as a good investment option probably because they've been used to buying properties or assets they can easily see and show people that they own it or one that's popular like land, gold, houses, machinery, etc. But when it comes to choosing either physical or digital assets to invest in, the advantages of owning digital assets are far more than that of owning physical assets.

Advantages of digital assets.
1. You can be filthy rich with a Bitcoin holding that's worth $billions and still live a low-profile life unlike owning physical assets like acres of land or properties that are tied to your name and will bring unnecessary attention.

2. Digital assets are mobile which means that at any time you choose to relocate to a desired destination, you don't need to worry about selling all your assets before doing so, you can just sell a small fraction that's enough to sort out your traveling fair and keep holding to your digital asset. That's not possible for physical assets as it will require that you sell them under pressure and you might be forced to sell them at a very low price.

3. It's not subject to government regulations or environmental issues: digital assets are not subject to regulation of the government or environmental changes that will affect assets like lands, gold, houses, and properties. As long as you're with your keys and you're alive, regardless of the environmental hazard or bad government policy that's not favorable in your location, you can easily change location while holding your digital assets.

Physical assets are good from the standpoint of diversification of investment and maybe for showing off that you have wealth, but in comparison to digital assets like Bitcoin, it's better to invest in digital assets over most physical assets.

OP just like you rightly said, some persons are centuries behind, so I wouldn't blame them too much for their ignorance, what I do most times is to lecture those person's I know that don't  have idea about digital asset, so they too can know the benefits that comes with it. For some of us in Nigeria, we most recognise that this is still a developing nation, some person's mindset are still fixated to a certain belief system, so it will take a gradual process to change it.

Digital asset like Bitcoin is a personal asset that is hidden from the eyes of the public, as most of the investors enjoys their personal investments privately to reduce too much attention from people, meanwhile in the psychology and mindset of some of our country men, you most have physical assets that their eyes can see before they can agree with you that you've made investment somewhere that is what while, which for me I don't blame them because that is the kind of information they are prone to.

But in choosing between digital asset and physical assets, I will likely choose both, because there is nothing wrong in having digital asset and also having physical assets too, they are both investment and is mostly advisable that as an investor it is always good to diversify your investment.
