61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: January 03, 2024, 04:10:09 PM
Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
of course online casinos are more risky because all the methods to deposit money are now on our finger tips.
we can deposit whatever amount is in our bank account and if someday our mind get disturbed anyone can blow their all savings. people say play responsibility but sometimes our mind gets stopped totally.
also offline casinos are more fun then online casinos, and very enjoying experience there. it reduce risk in terms of spending too much.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportscasino.io no kyc instant payments on: January 03, 2024, 04:06:00 PM
first I tried the visiting the website but it doesn't open a black while screen appeared, because your hosting is cheap or some problem with you host.
And we cannot trust anyone strange, that too in many cases. with fishy activities in the past it will be better if you give more info and review of people for that site.

update after a second visit of 5minute gap the site is opened and have a good interface like I like. but there is no trust ratings for the site.
63  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 03, 2024, 03:59:42 PM
Unfortunately, not all of us can do this, especially the newbies, when the emotions are too high we tend to forget everything we are we are so fired up that we want to regain our losses right away, and when the momentum is very high we just want to keep on, I think it has something to do with pride and we don't want to accept the fact that we are losing.
When we are emotionally fired up we forget all the best advice on how to become a responsible gambler and this is what contributes to losing our bankroll.

yes, this happens with everyone who doesn't sizes his/her bet responsibly and doesnot play with money which they can afford to lose.
I made this mistake many times and gone broke from casino many times, still those losses hurts me and I regret still until this day.
that is true that when we are losing our ego don't let us to stop and withdraw or stop and play other some day. if we can stop at that instant then it will be best to not lose.

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and Losing My First Bitcoin on: January 03, 2024, 03:00:41 PM
Bitcoin is still completely illegal in my country. I was first introduced to Bitcoin through a friend of mine. I first bought Bitcoin in early 2017. I bought only 25 dollars worth of bitcoins then. The feeling of making the first investment in life was different. Although I wasted that Bitcoin by investing in a third party hype site. I had a hard time losing my first bitcoin.

How did it feel when you first invested in Bitcoin?

I was came into crypto by introduction from a youtube video and started investing in altcoin, and then i was thinking of bitcoin as: this coin have highest price and this doesn't move more than 5%.
I doesn't knew anything about crypto and what this technology is.. , just speculating on different coins mostly altcoin and investing on them because they move more than 10% daily.
then was bull market made good profit on my first trade, and started dreaming wow 10% a day. I will going to be rich but after some days bitcoin dumped and from that time bear market started.
that was good old days,
66  Economy / Gambling / Re: Trustdice: Terrible sportsbook, 5x! wager to withdraw on: January 03, 2024, 09:37:30 AM
I had made account on trustdice, because I liked their faucet a lot. like the reward were higher then any other platforms.
but doesn't deposited their, the faucet amount was enough for me to play, I was trying to make that amount to 0.001BTC. lol
I had made around half of it but after that i seen their terms and condition that we can not withdraw their bonuses without depositing, also there is a high wager requirement for 1st deposit.
which i don't like and make my best casino list with low wagering requirement, here you can see that list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5460971.0
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in "Enhanced RTP" in some slots? on: January 03, 2024, 07:03:06 AM
I mostly play games which i already know, means I try new games very less of the time.
If my favorite game have enhanced RTP then I will play that game, if not then too i play that game. but playing these games I didn't have seen any effect on my winnings like winning more or like this.
also the difference of 1-2 percent doesn't change the odd of me winning more in 100-200 spins. I maybe be profitable in millions of spins. but i didn't won much in those games.
68  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: January 03, 2024, 06:58:51 AM
Do you guys have any thoughts on this... plague?
This isn't a plague, initially casinos didn't develop several sides independently. They mostly hire a team or buy templates on development sites, no professional developer is willing to risk time on speculative results. However they can take more risks on marketing to build the brand, the result as you have seen most, is that the offer is better than the reality.
yes, I think it's true in majority of cases because not every casino will be profitable business by getting customers,
so it is important to take low risk like buying templates, most of the work doing inhouse like people for customer support, etc.
also the good casino called by their sites interface and their support, the code is mostly bought by third parties. which may be edited with more feature if the casino become successful in the future.
69  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 02, 2024, 08:16:45 AM

Gambling responsibly involves acknowledging the risks, setting strict budgets, and resisting the urge to chase losses. Seeking support and guidance when gambling feels overwhelming is crucial for maintaining control.

I think people who gamble are very well aware of the risks of gambling.  So I don't see any opportunity to convince them again about the risk.  And not everyone can be successful with a tight budget management because gambling addiction keeps everyone from his normal thinking. Due to which they do not mind their gambling losses, they always think that they will win gambling and recover their previous losses. This is why gamblers suffer most of the time. And this responsibility has to be taken entirely by them because they started gambling by accepting the risk

yes, people know what gambling is.., and what maybe the consequences if done irresponsibly but they play even after knowing about it.
because when we lose or bust our bankroll then we start to think gambling is not for making money, i can not recover my losses etc. which is true if seen by that way.
but after some days the mind start to think, oh there is a way to recover my losses by gambling, one i recovered i will not gamble much. so this hope makes people deposit again.
this happens because losing days are less but loss is bigger, winning days are many and peoples greed is unlimited.
70  Local / India / do you want to learn about bitcoin from gary gensler? on: January 01, 2024, 01:57:48 PM
I discovered the youtube channel of MIT opencourseware a long time ago, like more than a year ago and also found the course about blockchain and money by gary gensler.
but until today i didn't even completed 1 episode of that course.
because of procrastination and laziness my mind comes with different ideas to procrastinate like you are feeling sleepy, you will not remember anything by learning at this moment, etc.
so if you guys also had this problem of procrastination and now it's been resolved then please give some tips and technics to stop being lazy.

Also there is a idea in my mind of writing a summary of those episodes and posting it here, to summarize it and stay disciplined, Is this a great idea? does it help anyone to learn something more about money?
this is the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUl4u3cNGP63UUkfL0onkxF6MYgVa04Fn
tell me if it is good idea to write a summary for each episode or a waste of time?
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It will save your capital more than you can imagine on: January 01, 2024, 06:48:46 AM
Learn to cut your loss, yes I mean it, the are so many rules and skills in trading which in other to succeed in trading you must utilize to the maximum, and one one them is learn to cut your loss if it's obvious that holding your position will do more harm tham good.
Most traders have fail to understand that in trading it's very important to keep your ego aside and admit when you are wrong, cut your loss early so that you can try again .
I have seen so many traders watch there their position run into liquidation because they were stubborn or they believe that it can still reverse to their favour, when it obvious that their is no hope.

In my early days in trading I have my own terrible experience of failing to cut my loss early because I believe that their is still hope, but I learned the hard way when I got liquidated.
You wouldn't know how important this decision is, until you have been liquidated.
Learn to admit that you are wrong, cut your loss, restrategize and have a go at it again.

it's hard to cut loss when the position is going against the trader, because the psychology is in this way first we tend to hold losing trade in hope. and take profit when our position is in little profit because of fear.
so keeping emotion aside while trading is very important. also if a trader realizes that he is wrong in that trade then he need to close the trade. but sometimes it get in profit after going toward the stoploss.
when i trade i don't have "ego" or something because I mostly hold for losing trade in hope of a reversal.
72  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 01, 2024, 06:25:36 AM
Yes, you are right. By learning from experience, we can increase our responsibility in gambling so that we don't gamble excessively. Other people's experiences can be a motivation for us to be wiser in using gambling and not become more passionate about gambling because that can cause us to experience a lot of losses.

it will be very good for a person to successful learn from others experience, like of people who became addicted to gambling and sold their houses, properties, etc.
and now they are in huge debt, and their advice is do not gamble ever. but do we follow it? we still gamble and most of the time we go broke and our account gets to 0 because we don't gamble responsibly.
I know their bad experiences but still play. maybe their will be one mistake which will turn me into gambling irresponsibly. it's good for people who learn from others experiences.
73  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: January 01, 2024, 06:10:52 AM
I think that every casino review website misses one of the most important parts of review - The bitcoin talk trust system. There have been many cases when casinos scammed user and got negative trust on their account and after that they acknowledged the importance of the trust system on this forum and changed their attitude. There have also been cases when the casino wasn't going to solve the case but solved it because they were afraid of getting negative trust.
If casino review websites add trust ratings and get the trust data from this forum with attached links that show why was this trust or distrust given, I think it will immensely benefit the website and will help users to decide which casino to use.

Bitcointalk is not known by every casino review website, except sites already on bitcointalk. there are huge number of review sites, that do not know about bitcointalk so it will be not possible.
also people who post review on those websites are bigger than all active users of bitcointalk. sites like askgambler, casino.org, etc. these sites always rank on first page of google so most users check review of those sites.
and there the number of scam accusation is bigger than bitcointalk.
there is a thread to see unresolved accusation and those, which got resolved after being posted. check here if you don't know: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717790.0
74  Economy / Gambling / Re: tell me the best online casino on: December 31, 2023, 02:41:16 PM
I want to play online casino which has the following criteria,
1. of course not a scam online casino
Scam casino can not be seen until you deposited in the site and found out that you are experiencing difficulties within your use you can be pushed to raise a scam accusation about them.
We cannot know that the platform gives withdrawal or not, because you can see every casino gives withdrawal because they want to do business, also you are here so you will definetly chose casino after seeing there reviews so there is no question of you make account where they don't provide withdrawals. the question is that they don't give our winning like you deposited $1000 and won $10,000 then they refuse to pay the amount, so that will be the reason of the casino cannot be trusted.

I think yes, because why we have tons of casinos? So, It may truly be hard to have all of those qualities. This is also the reason why many of us has more than one casino on them because many of us can't be contented easily. There could be one way to tell if the casino is legit, and that is if they will let you withdraw your money. We can deposit small amounts to test them or just look for someone else feedback.

If the withdrawals are fast, it can give us an added confidence. LVL 1 KYC is now normal but LVL 4 would only be applicable to the whales, and if you are involved in some anomalies. KYC's are only one time, so I won't mind doing them as long as I know that I'm on a trusted platform.

Also i chose my primary platform where I win first and not lose too much, like i deposited on one casino where everytime i was busting when i was placing big bets(according to % of bankroll)
and on other site where I play regularly there i win mostly but in last i will always lose but on second platform my bankroll last for longer. this experience was for provably fair games.
75  Other / Meta / Re: New Year = New Password (...and new you, too!) on: December 31, 2023, 05:11:39 AM
I would like to share how i securely generate passwords and store it, but i don't set passwords regularly like after some months.
first I add much different characters i find as i can on keyboard then make around 14-16 character long, adding some words and numbers to it and write that onto a paper and store in somewhat difficult to access.. place.
or for low security and quick password generating i use free password generator online,: i use this site: https://www.avast.com/en-in/random-password-generator

As to New Years resolutions - I tend not to make any but am keen to hear what yours are.  In the past, I've tried reading all those books that have been gifted to me over the years.  Read some of them, but not all.  Anyone make weight loss resolutions or quite drugs/smoking/vaping/drinking and fail miserably?

I will make resolution of getting out of my comfort zone and socialize and make friends, because i am too shy.

I never purchased a hardware wallet or used it, like you described in this thread, also this is good amount of money to buy a hardware wallet compared to my holdings.
but i never got hacked, you can provide the reasons which maybe got you hacked so we can learn from your mistake, like what you had done before losing your crypto, and things like that.
also it seems big amount for a hardware wallet but its important to buy one if we need to hold for long term, maybe our $100 bitcoin be worth $500 after sometime.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn from Bitcoin on: December 30, 2023, 11:34:57 AM
Sorry to bother the community, but it is a hard time for me now. I am really appreciated to your suggestions, help, instructions of How to earn from Bitcoin, including a job related to Bitcoin, mine, trading, or anything else.

there are many ways to earn bitcoin, like if you have a skill then you can provide your services on this forum, or there are many sites available which connects your to people who are willing to pay bitcoin for your service.
here are the best site which pay in bitcoin and fiat.
if you have capital to invest in bitcoin which you can afford to lose then you can trade bitcoin buy low and sell high, which is hard for a newbie and there maybe you face many losses so you can DCA into bitcoin.
if you are looking for quick ways without skills then try completing surveys, there are many sites give payout in bitcoin, but the earnings are small compared to earning by providing service or freelancing.
78  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 28, 2023, 10:34:11 AM
snip

its important to not chase losses and it's the most important a rule which should not be broken. but it becomes too hard to stop after seeing our balance a little bit lower then it was previously.
and we try to get back to that previous balance which maybe some penny away but we cant resist the urge to play and get back to previous balance which was higher than that it is now.
we do not try to lose dollars to win pennies, which happens every time when i try to earn some cents to get back to previous balance. sometimes the loss gets tooo huge by this mistake.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Calculating Profit or Loss on: December 28, 2023, 06:18:42 AM
No, I trade spot and I don't use Leverage.

What would be the best way to trade to make the most gains with say $2000 in the account, without leverage?

What would be the best strategy for this situation?

JH

Without leverage there will be very less opportunities to take a trade and resist you to make more profits in less time.
You can use 2x leverage which is not too risky and in thIs case you can short the market too  which will give you more opportunities to enter a trade. More opportunities= more profit. But in last you need to be right most of the time to make profits.
