They should change the coach completely, then both the offensive and defensive lines will be drastically rebuilt. What Ten Hag is doing hasn't worked for more than one season, in case anyone hasn't noticed yet. So I think most of the problems will be solved once they change coaches, which I understand they are not going to do.

I am always baffled as to vie many of you think that most of Manchester United problem will be solved when they let go of the coach Erik Ten hag. Yes the coach hasn’t performed well but have all thought of the past, most of the departed coaches weren’t just a bunch of average players but world class coaches and they had problems with getting Manchester United back to the glory days and fail with most of this players too. This hasn’t worked because they are players in the club that think they are better and to me need to go because even if they bring another coach they will still exhibit same character after few games

I like the way the new share older is actually restructuring the club from the top where decision making is taking place, after that then he can move move ahead to other areas

Oh come ooooon! I hope that United goes to relegation at this point, they have seen a whole year of Real Madrid preferring to not even play with any strikers, leave the striker position wide open, and still not prefer Joselu over no players? I mean Joselu is so bad that I wouldn't get him to any team that is trying to go for European competitions in any of the five big leagues.

At this point, I think that the best thing he could do would be just going to some Saudi team or MLS team, or find some terrible European league and be striker of a good team there, because he has no place at a club like United. Plus they already have Hojlund, why the hell would they need a striker like him? Obviously there is definitely something wrong going on within the team for sure.

Such a harsh word for a player, had Madrid not seeing at least a quality about him they wouldn’t have signed him in the first place. Madrid were definitely sure of what they were getting into before they signed Joselu on loan, they just wanted a back up striker and not someone that could be a first team player and Joselu was definitely perfect for it. So saying he wouldn’t cope in some European clubs is way harsh too me, he can go to Barcelona today and be a better back up to Lewandowski too.

But I have to agree with you that he isn’t the player that Manchester United need at the moment. Manchester United need a player that is currently on his prime and not past it to combine with a potential like Rasmus Hojlund to boost their attack. The budget player that comes to my mind is Isak of Newcastle. He is one of the best in the league currently and can easily play as a double striker to Hojlund in a diamond formation

Right at it Joselu just sent Madrid to the UCL finals
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 06, 2024, 11:44:49 PM
This is what I'm looking at as well before the match with Palace started. I thought there's no way they would let Chelsea overtake them for the last spot to qualify for any European competition. It's funny how they were challenging for the top 4 but now they are free falling.

D-D-W-D-L in the last five matches. If these results won't get the manager fired then ETH should consider himself extremely lucky.

United are definitely in a very big mess right now. They are on the verge of not playing any European competitions with the FA cup final been the only game for redemption at the moment, should they win then that will qualify them to the Europa league. With the way they are playing i don’t see them winning that game either. This loss to Crystal palace proves not how shambolic only they are but also the importance of Bruno Fernandez in the team.

Erik Ten Hag who to me is definitely under pressure will have to weigh his option as Bayern Munich and Ajax are lining up for his signature. As for Manchester United they are skeptical about sacking because they don’t seem to find another manager with the purpose of staying for a long period of time. The other options aren’t way much better than Ten Hag. The new United board are relying on him with the belief that he had so many injuries to the first team players and Also that he lack support from the then board
64  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Federal Government Plans to Delist Naira p2p on Crypto Exchange. on: May 06, 2024, 11:31:28 PM

The telegram integrated wallets has p2p marketplace I don't know if it's open source or closed but I have a strong believe that's it's going to be the next big thing, the trading volume it's quite low but if the FG succeeded in delisting NGN from crypto exchanges the volume would start increasing...

If wallet starts integrating p2p marketplace on their app will the Nigeria Government able to penetrate?

This P2P type is a read flag already as the platform which is telegram is a den of scammers already. For your question about Nigeria government been able to bring telegram down I will say yes they can actually clamp down the availability of it but it will be a useless. Remember news about twitter then which was clamped down by government was easy to access by just changing location or using VPN. The only thing Is the exchange it self brings the P2P down.

I knew the match was going to be an easy one for Manchester City, but a lot of people were thinking the match was going to be a difficult one for Manchester City because Manchester City lost against Wolves in the first leg, so most people were thinking the second leg would be kind of difficult for Manchester City also, but Manchester City humiliated Wolves today, which shows that Manchester City are not planning to lose any point in the matches left.

I was also one of those that we’re thinking that the second leg against Wolves will be a bit difficult for them not because of the win that Wolves had In the first leg but that Wolves had always been a big threat to Manchester city in the past. But seriously I had to re think my predictions considering how Wolves have themselves be playing poorly this season. The Wolverhampton Wanderers too are having a difficult start to the 2024 and Definitely Manchester city finding it easy to win isn’t a thing of surprise to any one that had actually been following their last few games

We know the Premier League is kind of difficult to predict, but I also don’t think Manchester City will be losing any points this season. The only match left that I think will give Manchester City a difficult moment this season is against Tottenham, which I am sure Manchester City will be able to win them.

This is another game that looks exactly like the Wolves game, Tottenham have in the past too be a big obstacle for Manchester city but seriously Tottenham are a mess currently and I don’t think I would count them in beating Manchester city but anything can happen.

Another thing people are forget again is Arsenal themselves have game against Manchester United which is a tricky one considering United are battling the 6 position spot with Newcastle at the moment so I don’t think it will be easy for Arsenal too
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 04, 2024, 06:26:21 PM

Poor financial strength of course makes Barcelona should not expect too much to get good players, for now I think Veratti will be a good option to fill the shortage of their midfield players, besides Verratti is no longer comfortable playing in the Qatar League so it might make his playing performance less good, but of course it will be different when he later finds a club that makes him comfortable in playing so I think his performance maybe increase.

I could remember long term ago when Veratti was tipped to be Xavi replacement at Barcelona he was the talk of the club and the world then, how the world could change easily. Last season when he was heading out to the Qatar league as free agent I thought Barcelona would even lure him as free agent then and add to their squad but maybe they couldn’t afford his wages then and they opted out. Right now I think they should capitalize on him because he still might have those qualities left.

Barcelona currently do not have options than to trust older players who are free agent and academy players. The academy players have shown that they could live up to the expectations if they have quality around them. Take Lamine Yamal and Cubrasi for example they are now key players for the club. If they can do it then more can with Little patience on them
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 04, 2024, 06:13:33 PM

Today's Girona vs Barcelona match turned out to be very competitive. Christensen's goal gave Barcelona the lead in just 3 minutes. However, Girona equalized in just 1 minute. However, after that we did not see any attack from Girona players. Girona is playing a defensive strategy today. Barcelona lead 2-1 at the end of the first half.
Barcelona's overall performance today is very good. I bet Barcelona to win. If Barcelona's defense can perform a bit better in the second half, Barcelona can get 3 points in this match.

Barcelona playing better? I doubt seriously because, both teams are putting in the same effort from what I was watching in the first half and also In the second half. Girona were creating chances more in the first half than Barcelona but weren’t able to convert. If they can continue to create those chances again in the second they will win the match in place of Barcelona and crown Real Madrid the Laliga champions.

Just before I Finish Barcelona is losing four goals to two now, this is what I was saying you can’t win a match with your midfielders been your only threat. This is now official Real Madrid are champions of Laliga.

Congratulations to the LOS BLANCOS
69  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto Transactions Restrictions; Banks tracking algorithm exposed! on: May 04, 2024, 04:12:56 PM
This is definitely a good advice, i personally have thought of it too and think it’s the only way round this now. But it will then again depend on the type of vendor sending you money. Most vendors have made mistake by registering the account number they usually use to send funds to other vendors as business under crypto category which easily makes the bank very much aware of their dealings. Opay In the past if you wish to send money to such accounts will even warn you that their vendors and you should be careful with dealing with them.

My suggestion aside yours is after rounding up amount, one should check from the description of the vendor what account name tag is sending the money if there is anything bitcoin or cryptocurrency related then one should avoid them. A simple and straightforward name is better
70  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Most P2P occured on WhatsApp, Telegram and everywhere on the streets on: May 04, 2024, 03:59:16 PM

I did not know this exchange, NoOnes until now. I only know him as the former Paxful CEO. Is this a way to market his exchange or he is telling the truth?

I know some people in my street that do not know how to trade on centralized crypto exchanges. All they need is a bitcoin wallet and a vendor which they can meet on social media or on the street.

Definitely telling the truth, when news like this was coming out and fintechs started sending out messages to people I was more like this is just on centralized exchanges, there multiple number of P2P traders that are out there in the social media platform that offers, most of which is the WhatsApp and Telegram. This is even another way people engage in arbitrage marketing. This one’s mostly buy/sell at the rates that are lower than that of centralized exchanges. It is actually smooth transaction but the problem is the risk to me is way higher than that of centralized exchanges because they do not have proper exchanges. I could remember people getting scammed on telegram P2P exchanges. All you need is to deal with someone you are more less a bit close to or know.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 03, 2024, 11:08:19 PM
Bayern vs. Dortmund in the Bundesliga and Bayern vs. Dortmund in the Champions League final are very different games. The atmosphere is different, the game plan is different, the feeling of the fans is different, the motivation of the players is different. I don't agree with that, the German final would be very interesting to watch.
I think Dortmund and Real Madrid will play the final. In the end I hope we will see a final won by Dortmund. Whether it's Bayern or Real, instead of teams with huge budgets, the beautiful side of football is Dortmund, they deserve this final and this trophy.

Everyone left in the competition currently deserves to lift it, they’d shouldn’t be any exclusion on who deserves it better. I think the final for any of this clubs will be interesting considering what they all have at stake at the moment. The general fans will want a Dortmund win to compliment the team or club hard work over the years and most importantly to gift Marco Reus for his longevity. But other clubs too deserve it for different reasons like Bayern for Harry Kane first Trophy in his career, also for PSG for the clubs first champions league and also a fitting  farewell to Mbappe as he set to leave.

Then to Real Madrid for many reason but most especially for been the best team ever in the competition. Many had anticipated the final to be between Madrid and PSG but with the last leg score of this competition many think it’s not possible again but we can’t rule out any chance yet
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 03, 2024, 10:02:47 PM
Actually base on their remaining fixtures
Luton: West Ham and Fulham
Nottm Forest: Sheffield United, Chelsea and Burnley

I think if Luton really want to avoid relegation then they have to fight pretty hard to defeat their remaining opponents though this will be hard but I think they may be able to do so base on how they fair in some matches this season while Nottm Forest may likely against Chelsea but the remaining may not be much issue for them but there are chances they may also drop points there

It is still a heavy fight at the bottom of the table, I expected till reach till the end of the season as the clubs facing relegation are definitely in problems. Luton is the most Scoring team at that bottom but they are have a Shitty defense that usually concede multiple goals in few minutes. Today they should have won against the Toffees who seriously i must commend have been in an excellent form since an additional 2 or 4 points were deducted from their points. Same thing happened with Nottingham Forest and I thought that this Luton will take the advantage of that point deduction to actually cements their place in the Premier League for next but they didn’t.

This draw against Everton actually gives Nottingham Forest an important advantage to go three points above Luton

There is actually gpod chances on Salah going to Saudi Pro League next season though. Klopp is going to retire so whats really preventing him from moving to SPL when the clubs out there wants him? He is old enough to spend the rest of his career on SPL because there is no reason for him to stay in Liverpool. Lets be clear on this one, Salah is a pretty good player but obviously not the type of player that will be able to play full 90 minutes on most games next season so yeah moving to SPL could be a pretty good move for him

Yes I agree with you Salah is a great player but seriously the change needs to come now, the club needs to act fast because if they should alt for some time now I don’t think they will be able to cash in on him for reasonable amount. The club had the opportunity to offload Salah for almost a hundred million last transfer window but they opted not to which I wouldn’t blame them because the departures were too many last season so letting Sallah go would have actually created a lot of problems for them. But this season with a new manager and a possible rebuilding happening they should whirl the big wig and sell him off. But belief me it will be hard to get a player that can fill the void left by him instantly
74  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: When is the right time to sell on: May 03, 2024, 05:00:43 PM
I know say some people get different kind of investment goals, so some people go only sell once their investment goal is met, some people na condition or emergencies dy force their hands to sell, while some people prefer to dy take only the profit on top, some dy sell only during the bull season and some people don even vow say Dem no go touch their holdings till 5-10 years time regardless of wether the investment go dy profitable or not, so in essence of all this is please, when is the best time to sell? I know say most snr men for here go dy reason am say i surpose know this thing, but as e be so, I no just know the best time to sell,  I don list out most of the scenario wey fit make person sell, but I no know which one be the best, abeg make ona enlightened me abeg.

The thing is everyone will definitely have their options or opinions on when to sell but there is no best time to sell it depends on you. The only perfect time to sell is when in profits. Some people set price target and to me it is better than setting a time frame on when to take the profit. When you set a price tag you don’t need to worry more about the fall of price because you already have conviction of the coin.

The one thing again is for a comfortable holding and to reach your profit target without panic you need to invest in a coin that you have strong conviction and also invest an amount you can afford to hold for a very long term or can afford to lose
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 02, 2024, 10:48:27 PM
I never expected this losing from Tottenham Hotspur because considering their last meeting with Chelsea I was thinking their would be a difference on this match because they had a red card the last time they meet Chelsea which helped Chelsea to win Tottenham Hotspur but losing again shows that it has become crystal clear that even if Chelsea is not in a good shape but their performance is far more impressive than Tottenham Hotspur.

Actually Tottenham Hotspur needs to work on their team because if they come back next season with this kind of form they will even go far the way they did on this season, however they still have another tough match next against Liverpool and is very obvious that since they are not able to win Chelsea that's of the same performance with them their is no way they will stand a chance against Liverpool on their next match so perhaps is going to be an easy three points for Liverpool.

I will have to disagree with some of your points, yes it was a bad night for Tottenham Hot spur once again but i wasn’t too surprised because In their last 15 matches with Chelsea they have managed to win only once which shows the superiority of Chelsea in the London derby. Chelsea today also played well than in their previous games knowing full well that a loss today will have ended their hopes of any European football next season. This win today now sets them on the verge of qualifying for at least the Conference league.

As for your convictions that Tottenham will lose against Liverpool just because they have lost against Chelsea i will say it doesn’t work that way. A team can get trashed this weekend by a lower club and still go out the next match to win against the best team in the league. Check Chelsea for instance they almost did a double against city but couldn’t win against a 10 man bottom club Burnley, that’s football. I expect Tottenham to be at their best against Liverpool and possibly Manchester city to cement their position for the European football next season
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 02, 2024, 10:37:33 PM

That is an exaggeration. You could say that Leverkusen destroyed some of the top teams in the Bundesliga, but Girona didn't trash any of the teams in La Liga. They left a good impression and now it is a feeling like I had when Leicester City won the Premier League: can they win it again or will they drop to the bottom of the table because this season was just an outlier? It's not easy and the competition has them on their radar. I don't know whether they have the capacity to play a season like this again.

This Girona team achievement has been excellent this season and seriously deserved more recognition in the ideal way. They have certainly cause a great upset in the Laliga which is usually a traditional top three finish for either Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona, but this time around Girona has broken that chain and could even be higher up at second place at the end of the season.

It is all but confirmed that they will qualify, my little worry is maybe they will be allow to compete in the UCL with them having same owner as Manchester city which according to the rules before isn’t allowed. Also I doubt they will replicate same form next season with their current players almost all on the verge of signing for bigger clubs.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Making Me Wonder on: May 02, 2024, 10:25:20 PM
In this case, why are you forcing yourself to make a transaction because before starting to make a transaction, we will definitely be shown the nominal value of what we will send and the shipping costs before confirming and I think this can be minimized if you really don't force yourself to make a transaction at that time. .
Because if you previously postponed your transaction for a few days, the transaction fees will return to normal. But you really can't blame this because you may have just experienced this and experienced bad luck, not because of the halving, but because you weren't careful in looking at transaction costs, so this is unavoidable.
This could be a good lesson for you, friend, and I would like to suggest you check the transaction fees https://mempool.space/ before making the transaction you want to do so that something like this doesn't happen again.

One thing is the transaction fee sometimes for core Bitcoin enthusiasts are always a problem reason been that they usually transact in bitcoin and waiting most at times doesn’t help like them. Some of them are cross boarder transactions which the bitcoin mode of transactions are way to easy and smooth. As things stands now I will rather say they find alternative and stop using bitcoin for micro transactions.

Right now the runes are no longer available on the network but with the way the ordinals went and came back I wouldn’t rule out their return most especially with bull a round the corner they hype could grow again. Devs should find a solution permanently to it though.

As for OP it wasn’t because of halving that this happen, but because many people were making transactions and this could happen anytime most especially with the new inscription and runes too
78  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Another attempt to discourage cryptocurrency adoption. on: May 02, 2024, 09:56:22 PM

Lol, why are you running? Naija na cruise. Im just laughing at our government pointing fingers at the only one thing that has managed to keep the economy and it's people active in those few years. They are so blind that they cannot even see how youths have managed to find a way and empower themselves in this hardship. If they want us all to die I don't get it. I don't blame them though. And we have no one to blame. We are Nigerians and no matter how the country is suffering from bad leadership, there will still be some people who will support them. Everyone has to be careful with how they conduct their transactions as government are really trying to play smart . So any slight mistake now, it's  gone  Grin

They are not blind and I will tell you this they know better than you that the people are benefiting from this but as usual they don’t want it or better still they wanted to see if they could control it. The thing is the government actually looking to control everything around cryptocurrency and hopefully tax it. But when they targeted binance and saw that people weren’t touched or affected they are taking different routes since then. This doesn’t translate to cryptocurrency only even the fintechs are been stretched into compliance’s
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 01, 2024, 10:43:32 PM
Even though in the Bundesluiga, Dotmund lost 4-1 to Leipzig, but from the start many people predicted that this match would be very tough for PSG, Dortmund deserved to win this match, they played very carefully and didn't want to just defend, the goal was scored by fullkrug is also very charming.  The second leg will take place on the 8th at PSG's home ground, this is PSG's chance to win with a big score, well if they want to reach the UCL final they have to win 2-0 at least.

Never in doubt this was a thrilling game between the both teams that many had already ruled out of reaching this stage in the competition. Both Dortmund and Bayern Munich have had their worst seasons this season but both are putting in lots of effort in this champions League. The match today wasn’t only just a semi final but also fighting for next season qualification. Had Dortmund lost today the last spot for the new champions league format would have been given to the premier league but with the result today it is going to be awarded to the Bundesliga fifth place finisher which at the moment is Dortmund themselves. So even if they finish outside top 4 they will get a chance with the fifth palace to play the big game again.

To me this isn’t over yet, PSG at home will definitely frustrate this Dortmund. The two goals to qualify them is not a big deal. Dortmund with already an advantage they should be able to hold off Mbappe and CO.

Sub-boards will be created this week, I've sent the proposed sub-boards to theymos for evaluation and possible creation soon. We've grown bigger to have different topics on a single main board.

Straight to work right away, i love this idea, this simply means that your selection was definitely a right one. The single board wasn’t even my concern before, but the amount of unnecessary threads that you regularly see up instead of useful or educative threads. Right now moving those threads to off topic will actually make the board clean not just for we the community but also for visitors. This could lead to a potential approval of merit source(s).

Once again congratulations boss, this is a giant stride to the community
