61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling : Next Generation Challenges on: March 10, 2024, 08:52:16 PM
This is a good idea and a welcome development. Gamblers can now be able to enteract with each other while gambling online with their social ID connected. However, I think it would be very risky because it would lead to gambling addiction as losing games would be the last resort of gamblers and would want to continue gambling till they win which the possibility is minuit.

Not only that, if a gambler wins big and his or her identity being revealed as it is connected to the social networks, the gambler might be at risk so therefore, gamblers should be given the option to choose if they want their social media 🆔 revealed or not so as not to put them in danger as the case may be.

I think it's a bad idea if we connect our gambling accounts to social media, because it will invade our privacy. Everyone will know when we win or lose, it looks very bad to me. Just doing KYC is annoying, especially when it comes to social media, it will make us naked and anyone can see it

I think this idea is too utopian because technically it doesn't mention how to increase sociality in gambling, how to target the right gambling users, and what breakthroughs he will make in detail.
62  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: March 10, 2024, 07:45:26 PM
I agree with you.
The live support is really something bc should put some work and resources in since it is really too slow and not really on point. As I have mentioned before it is not industry standard to wait 15-20min for a reply and then another 10-15 for every message that comes next.
At other sites I use the experience is much different, waiting like 2min max for a first response mostly. And once the conversation has started the next messages always come fast.
But hey, nobody is perfect. There is always room for improvement
BC.Game are in this industry for long to know that the cryptocurrency market and crypto gambling industry is highly competitive. They have many competitors in this industry so by going like an outlier in support procedure, longer waiting time than competitors, they self-create disadvantage for themselves.

Maybe because bc.game has so many users that live support is very busy, but it is also true that bc.game is willing to add employees in the live support section. But I'm also impressed with bc.game because it has live support for my local language (Indonesia) and not many casinos have that.

Now there is a new feature that bc.game has where when I deposit using fiat I can exchange it and withdraw it in USDT. I rarely play on bc.game and it seems like they didn't have this feature before, I don't know if this is new or old but I really like that feature.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We need more multiplayer casino games! on: March 10, 2024, 03:14:24 PM
I don't fully understand what you mean, but it seems like your idea is difficult to implement because you also allow for betting differences. If played together then the bets must be the same and the balance must also be the same, otherwise the one who runs out of balance automatically loses.

It might be more logical if players join together to beat one slot machine, the balance collected will be played on that slot machine and if it wins it will be distributed to all the gamblers who joined. I once watched a youtube channel that did this, they played at land based casinos
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling : Next Generation Challenges on: March 10, 2024, 10:02:46 AM
This was discussed in the Next.io conference held in New York. They said that online gambling will be more targeted and at the same time it become more of a social activity. Right now we see that an online gambler is gambling in solo with no social connections but this could change in future.

The online gambling companies have to reform themselves as this will be a new demand from the young generation who are coming to online gambling and they need socialization also while gambling (like we used to have in physical gambling).

Are gamblers currently not targeted? then who is the target? I think someone who decides to gamble then he is part of the right target. If they want to target a certain segmentation, there will be KYC or spying to find out the activities of gamblers

Currently there is also a chatroom available which allows gamblers to interact with other gamblers, I think that is enough, or do they have another breakthrough?
65  Economy / Reputation / Re: o_e_l_e_o Such a life you will build/Laugh at death You will cry. on: March 10, 2024, 06:57:21 AM
I think there is enough time to mourn the sad news posted by o_e_l_e_o. This is a condition that can happen to anyone and even though we know that one day we will definitely separate, often we are not ready to separate. We can't do anything and can't be sad forever, so as long as we are still given health then continue living and keep learning

Regarding the Re Farewell thread, the discussion is a little different. There was a bit of a dispute between o_e_l_e_o and someone over his statement to wassabi wallet. I don't understand the problem so I can't comment much.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: March 09, 2024, 11:43:47 PM
I find this hilarious but it's actually very true!

And I think this has everything to do with our mentality which changes when we are risky more but when it comes to small bets it's like we play with more freedom which is the reason for the wins...but if we win more with smaller bets why not stick to them as they add up in terms of ROI and it's a good risk management approach .

Btw, sometimes betting big and losing just shows how much of greed we have which could be the reason for losing...let's just find the best bet size to optimise our risk appetite.

Yes, I know this is a baseless statement but we often feel that way.

And yes once again it is greed because we want to get a bigger win so we increase the bet, and yes maybe because we have won in the previous round then when we raise the bet it is actually in that round that it is time for us to lose

I really can't speak about casino, but from my experience in sports betting when it comes having a mindset of whenever you bet big you lose and when you bet small you win, it's not because the system is rigged or manipulation the result of the sport but rather a thing with the human mind, when betting big we often tend to tilt towards taken bets with very low risk and higher chances of winning while forgetting that the odds or supposedly less risky bet are safe proof and doesn't guarantee a win, but that sentiment changes when we are betting a low amount we often go with our guts odds based or not, and that's why it could happen that we get a larger winning ratio when we stake low.

I agree, maybe because our minds have started to get greedy so we think about increasing the bet with more risk. Sometimes when greed starts to come, our thoughts become illogical and hope that luck will keep coming

Maybe Miss Foxpup chose you because she saw something special in you.

Well I can almost guarrantee you that there is nothing special about me. I am an ordinary fox pup. Trying to become a proper fox.

Thanks for your kind words as well!

You are a humble person, I hope you can become a nine-tailed fox. It's a great character in the Naruto manga series, I don't know if you've read it or not, but it's one of the best manga after One Piece.

It seems like this thread has gone quite far, from meta ~ off topic ~ to Development & Technical Discussion. Lol  Cheesy

68  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your degree from a university just convinces me that you are a f@#$ing idiot. on: March 09, 2024, 06:24:18 PM
I have a Ph.D. I was a professor. And as a professor, I came to realize that universities are extremely unprofessional. Universities have promoted violence against me, and they f@#$ing refuse to apologize. This is completely unacceptable. This means that your degree is most likely worthless especially if it is anything less than a Ph.D. in the sciences. If you have a degree from a university, you are most likely uneducated as f@#$. And when I say that you are uneducated, I mean that you are f@#$ing stupid and evil. Stop being stupid. Stop being evil.

Regards,

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

If the university is not professional and your Ph.D degree is a product of the university, then the professionalism of your degree is also questionable.

If you are a competent professor then you yourself know what the solution is, otherwise there is no point in your Ph.D. Fight if you are brave and stay silent if you don't have the strength. Yelling here will do nothing for you, me, and everyone reading this forum. You are just like someone who is frustrated with your situation and doesn't know what to do, stop being a fool  Wink

Hi all.

Tomorrow, I am celebrating my 1 year anniversary in the forum. I have big plans for tonight, so I will probably not manage to post this tomorrow.

Congratulations on your achievements in the forum. I think the many merits you have prove that you are a quality member of the forum and of course have broad insight. It is very difficult to understand Bitcoin in depth in one year unless you have coding skills and look for a lot of information on forums or outside forums.

You also use a legendary avatar that is only used by certain members who are famous on the forum, that is a real proof of the quality you have. Maybe Miss Foxpup chose you because she saw something special in you.  Awesome Vile Vixen
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 09, 2024, 03:58:29 PM

What do you think?

It was because his idea wasn't that brilliant that he couldn't make it happen. If he can have a brilliant idea for business then ideally he can make it happen, if not that means there is something wrong with his idea, maybe he doesn't know how to find capital, how to manage, how to market, how to produce, etc. But if he has a genius idea then he can find people to help him. Business is something real, if a business is only stuck on an idea then it is just empty talk.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Restricted games on one casino but playable to other one on: March 09, 2024, 02:11:11 PM
I notice this after playing on Bc.co and Bk8 a Pragmatic Play games without any VPN while I can’t play games from this provider on most of the casino here in forum. Also I have games that I can play Hacksaw Gaming on the majority of the casino here but can’t play on Bc.co and Bk8.

I’m just curious how does game providers have different set of country restricted on different casino. Does it mean that I’m not really breaking the game provider ToS when playing with VPN to bypass the restrictions since I can play their games freely on other casino while they came from same provider?  Huh

You can check the license of the gambling platform, maybe they have a different license so the restrictions are different. Additionally, you can check the ToS whether your country is blocked or not, if not then you are not breaking anything even if you use VPN. My country blocks access to many gambling sites, but in the ToS gambling sites are not prohibited my country so I can gamble even though I have to use a VPN

As long as we don't violate anything and our country is not prohibited in the ToS, then using VPN is no problem, I always use VPN but never had a problem.
72  Other / Archival / Re: Just another question. on: March 08, 2024, 11:47:58 PM
Months ago I read a post that mentions the names of those profiles that is banned based on some illegal posting patterns, and not keeping the forum rules.
I just have a question and I know that with some replies on this thread others people will learn.
My reasons for creating this post is to know if an account is ban and after the same account get unbanned will the Smerits still remain on the same account or it will be removed while the account is dormant?

Today I was roming around the forum then I come across this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5144410.0 the post list names of banned profiles and I think many of them have Smerits on it, but I don't know if the Smerits will remain on the account if the profile get unbanned.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5477510.msg63309635#msg63309635 this is a thread made by Cyrus

I think a banned account will have everything he had before when the account was unbanned. As far as I know, forum moderators/administrators might ban their signature space for a while but I've never heard of any smerit being removed from a banned account.

Forum has many merit sources so there is no need to think about the smerit owned by banned accounts because we have a lot of smerit reserves owned by merit sources which will be added every month. What is more important is how to make quality posts so that we get merit shares  Cheesy
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 08, 2024, 10:48:43 PM
I always have this kind of mistake before way back when I’m still inexperienced gambler. A simple mistake such as not placing a bet on a round that result to massive win just because my screen glitch makes me tilted that resulted to lose focus and bust all my bankroll quickly due to risky bets.

There’s some instances that I’m already winning big on blackjack then one of my bet is a pair of 10 which I accidentally double down instead of stand while I place huge bet triggers me a lot that result to terrible loss.

I’m sure many players here experience this kind of minor mistakes that resulted to terrible outcome. Share your story and let’s have fun hearing it. I hope there’s no BS story…

It was an annoying little mistake, but on the other hand sometimes I also feel lucky because I missed a round that I should have lost. The error that occurs to me is usually a network problem, my internet network is unstable so sometimes the network disconnects when I want to bet or in the middle of a game, especially when I play live casino which requires a stable network.

One of my best luck because of a mistake was when I played a crash and targeted 100x, while I was playing suddenly my network was disconnected, my network reconnected and it turned out I won 100x, if at that time the network was not disconnected then maybe I would have taken profit before reaching 100x. But of course there are more losses due to network errors but I'm too lazy to tell about it because it hurts  Cheesy

https://www.cnnindonesia.com/nasional/20240305111751-617-1070547/pks-pkb-pdip-usulkan-hak-angket-kecurangan-pemilu-di-paripurna-dpr

76  Economy / Economics / Re: When luxury becomes a necessity. on: March 07, 2024, 11:19:58 PM
Have you bought something that people feel is rather too expensive and that you could have purchased a lower version of it? What was your inexperience like after that?

I once bought a Mac but it didn't make me more productive. I didn't understand the function of the Macintosh because I was used to Windows, so I chose to sell it again and buy a regular laptop that uses Windows. Additionally, when I use a mac, many of my friends think I'm "different" because I live in the countryside, which makes me uncomfortable.

So, I don't think luxury items will make us more productive, but the items we need will make us productive, whatever the price.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto news sources on: March 07, 2024, 10:43:52 PM
Hi there!

Where do you usually read crypto news? Any good Telegram or Twitter channels worth checking? I'm open to newsletters, podcasts, traditional media or anything else actually. Primarily I’m  looking for sources with concentrated knowledge. Open for good long reads as well. Where to find out about airdrops? This would be very useful too.

OP you have found a good answer, I also agree with this:

I use Cointelgraph, Coindesk Coingecko and Coinmarketcap.

If I want to read about the latest news then I will use Cointelgraph and Coindesk, I also have a list of sites for news in my local language but it's just the same news as Cointelgraph and Coindesk so I don't think it's necessary to recommend it to you

For news about prices and historical data, of course Coinmarketcap and Coingecko

78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pattern that 99.9% Leads to Bankruptcy: High Rolling on Slots! on: March 06, 2024, 10:28:50 PM
In the past week, I've been watching confessions and sad stories of slot players on YouTube. How did they lose everything, from a motorbike, house, cars, gold, and savings, just to play slots? As a player myself, I can't fathom how this game sucks away so much money and forces people to ruin their lives in a relatively short time. I remember one of the guys got wrecked in less than a week. I thought slots would only ruin someone's life if they were a regular customer and played every day without taking a piss or something.

The reasons may vary from person to person, such as chasing losses, greed, emotions, etc., but the next step they took is all the same, i.e., betting way more than usual. It all begins with the x100 - x1,000 minimum bet that they usually do. For example, I usually bet $0.1/spin, and then x100 - x1,000 means that I bet $10 - $100/spin. That's stupid! One guy took a loan with his house as collateral for $5,000 only to lose it in a few hours.

High rolling in slots is quite dumb in my opinion, since the probability of hitting the x100+ multiplier is too low. Thus, the most feasible strategy is to maximize your number of spins instead of going for YOLO. Thus, if you REALLY need to do martingale shit or progressive betting for whatever dumb reason, 5x from your usual bet is your maximum.

As usual, the threads you create are always great

Slot machines are a source of destruction if played every day, especially with high stakes. Apart from that, Martiangel does not apply to slot machines, if it applies then I will use the formula per 100 spins, such as the first 100 spins bet 0.1/spin, the second 100 spins 0.2/spin, and the third 100 spins 0.4/spin, If we still don't get the bonus, it's better to finish the game. But usually I will convert the currency to IDR so I can bet smaller, maybe around $0.01

I think Martiangel is more suitable for table games, but use it based on feeling, when our luck is bad then using Martiangel will actually make our balance run out faster.

80  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: March 06, 2024, 04:24:16 AM
no vip or rewards programs in Metawin ? beside the competitions ?
No. Besides the competitions and referral program, MetaWin doesn't currently offer any VIP or tiered reward programs. Some casinos like to focus on running regular competitions to keep things exciting, so it's possible they'll stick with that.
VIP rewards is like a must thing to have these days. Although Metawin has regular competitions such as the raffle and the Reel Race, but having vip programs will make it more attractive and it will make metawin more competitive in the gambling industry. VIP program is like giving more incentives to active players for long term purpose which will make players stay as long as possible.

I thought it would be added later, like a payment method using bitcoin that didn't exist at first then they updated it. So far the Metawin team seems to really appreciate the suggestions from each member.

I also hope they will have a VIP program in the future because it will create loyalty for each user, especially if we already have a high VIP level, usually there are lots of bonuses given and this makes us prefer to play at casinos that already have a high VIP level.
