61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BizCoin [BIZ] Long-term Projects - POW/POS - IPO - ESCROW AVAILABLE on: August 19, 2014, 09:44:06 PM
Would appreciate it if you could briefly summarise:
1) the strengths of this coin?
2) the weaknesses of this coin?
3) promises made? kept? any FUD?

Specifically to the dev(s), what will be the key original code/feature(s) in this coin?
And will you be providing "Proof of Developer"? http://cryptoasian.com/coin-list/

Thanks for your questions,

1) the strengths of this coin?

The main strength of this coin is the team behind the coin. My real life business is a firm of developers, freelancers.
As I said, the whole team is working full-time on this coin right from the start. We are trying to develop long-term businesses around this coin, thus creating a real value for the coin.
We don't want to create a coin which can be used only from day-trading.

2) the weaknesses of this coin?

Speaking from a tech perspective, there are no weaknesses. The code is already tested by many coins out there. There is no new tech implemented into the coin.
We want to develop something simple, secure and useful. Not some tech-savvy features which will never be used in real-life on a large scale.

Creating various projects for the coin, and supporting the coin for the long-term is the most important thing to boost the adoption.

3) promises made? kept? any FUD?

I kept all promises until now, on top of that, we have a project fully working and tested. I'm talking about www.cryptohire.com, an online freelancing marketplace, which from my point of view have a lot of potential.

Sorry, but I don't understand the last part of the question. "any FUD?"

No, we are not going to provide a Proof of Developer, I will not send my ID or anything related to my real life to this cryptoasian!
Yes, we are going to provide something a lot more valuable. We are going to register a firm dedicated for our projects!
I will ID this project as a FIRM, as a BUSINESS, not as an individual.

I will not make any connection to this world as an INDIVIDUAL!
I will join this world only as a LEGAL PERSON (FIRM/COMPANY)!

Yes, we received an email from cryptoasian, but I don't understand how that thing can be of any value.
He is not a developer, that is not a proof of developer, that is only a proof that somebody can fake an ID.

I already registered all the domains for this project on my name, and the firm will also be registered on my name, with an official online record.

To speak my mind, I was a bit insulted by the questions received from cryptoasian:

1. What is your name?

2. Where do you currently call home?

3. What is your IRC identity?

4. Personal contact questions:
4a. Do you have a personal social media Twitter, LinkedIn, Weibo or Facebook? If you do not want me to share it please let me know and I will keep it confidential.
4b. Do you have a Skype or another messaging program? If you do not want me to share it please let me know and I will keep it confidential.
4c. If you have a personal phone number you would like to post so I can text to you may.  This will absolutely not be shared to anyone.
4d. What is your personal email address?

5. What is your background in coding?

6. Is Crypto a full-time endeavor or do you have another source of revenue?

7. Have you created any other coins?  If so, what coins?

8. Do you have any other developers that have direct access to the GitHub source codes? If so, I will need them to also provide me with answers to these questions
8a. Also, provide a screen shot of you being logged into the Github source code.

9. Who first introduced you into Crypto?

10. Please write a paragraph you deem noteworthy in gaining the best rating possible.  Some suggestions would be a hand written note with some sort of ID next to it with personal information blocked out.  I will let you be intuitive with your paragraph.

For real?

I hope people are not taking this "proof of developer" serious.
I mean, anybody who is going to create a scam for ~100 BTC can provide all those information without problem.

I hope cryptoasian guy will change this if he want to offer a serious guidance for this.
Right now, he is only offering false "insurances"

He MUST have a VM and a very good developer, and ask the developers to code something live, on his VM through TeamViewer, to prove that their are competent to develop a coin, a service for that coin and support that.

So, as I said, having a Proof of developer is nothing serious, and I am not going to be insulted by this guy with such irrelevant question, which are not even remotely related to a TRUE Proof Of Developer.

Proof Of Developer = give me the proof that the GUY developing that coin have the skills to do what he says.

@cryptoasian, you must educate the people, not offer some useless insurance. Have a connection to the developer, talk to him at least 30 min / day, ask him TECHNICAL question, ask about his life, ask about his plans, ask him to provide REAL PROOFS that he CAN develop what he advertised, etc.

Don't ask him about twitter, facebook, or an ID.
Big deal, some dev from X country selling his IPO. You can't touch him legally. PERIOD! That's not a Proof of Developer.

Thank you,
Chris

Well, you can always try a coin which offers a lot on the table right from the start Smiley

ShameOnYou, thanks for finally managing to compose your own Q&As

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does XC uses multisig address and transaction? Looks like the answer is NO on: August 16, 2014, 01:07:04 AM
XC, a hot alt coin, claims that it is a trustless system and uses multisig technology to do it. See below

But I am puzzled by the fact that despite they talk like this, I don't see a single multisig address in XC nor do I see any multisig tx. As we all know, these are the central parts, if we do use this technology, we will see a lot talk about it, like in whitepaper, in thread discussions, the multisig addresses and tx are shown in the blockchain explorer etc (look at Superoicn/MammothCoin's threads, there are plenty talk on that. I can find quickly 10 multisig addresses and associated with transactions, they are currently doing alpha tests in mammothcoin network, so all the multisig addresses are for Mammothcoin, soon I expect to see for supercoinsm which is scheduled for beta tests). Can anyone show me XC's multisig addresses and their associated transactions?

This should be an easy thing to do. But since I don't see any, I doubt if the multisig is really implemented in XC. It looks more like a scam to me. Also, when I search the XC thread, I see this from someone (likely a dev of XC):

m-of-m multisig? Are you drunk? What fun will you have to have m-of-m multisig?? If one guy is bad then you want the wallet is locked forever? Do you guys understand what is a multisig address and how to use it?

It looks like this is a scam. Otherwise please show me some good examples you use in XC.

BTW, for Mammothcoin, they are testing for multisig trustless systems now, you see plenty multisig addresses and transactions there, you can even join the tests I think. There are some recordings in Mammothcoin/Supercoin's thread, for example:
http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c2j2IinsMO

and this is one of many multisig address with some transactions associated with it (there are plenty similar ones):
http://chainz.cryptoid.info/mamm/address.dws?bTz39geL1BR5UUdAciB8oh1F33eW1FXFcW.htm

Also they explained very clearly the concept and detailed workflow they use for the multisig trustless system:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=736705.msg8324932#msg8324932

Can you show me similar details in XC? If it is really there Grin

Sorry to bother but I'm just curious, you wasted that time to write all those things down, but you don't dare to do a tx yourself to test this out?

How to deal with the unsold shares?

Q. What happens if the SHARES are not sold 100%?
A. The unsold SHARES will be distributed to the investors based on the number of SHARES they've already bought;

Excited to see improvements to the three services.  Hopefully, the devs will continue their active development Smiley.

Thanks for your feedback

They have no other choice but to continue the development, otherwise I'll cut their paycheck Wink
My whole freelancing firm is working full-time at this project. I'll put a great part of my earned money as a freelancer and the whole fund from the presale into the development of this project.

We WANT to make this our main online business.

We had the unfortunate bad luck to synchronize with a pretty big downtrend on Bitcoin. Seems that almost all projects are suffering because of that. Traders are playing their bitcoins with fiat now Smiley

POW is great idea, unless it is really going to be X11. Please change algo. (scrypt,sha256)

Can you please elaborate? Why is scrypt or sha256 a better option?

Chris
x11 algo seems to be most unfair algo lately because of possible large fpga farms or unknown non GPU high hashrate selling at 1/10 price compared to GPU mining ROI.

I see, we are going to look into it.
There is not going to be an issue, algo can be switched before the POW stage begins.

We are still discussing the POW period. We are thinking that 3 months should be enough for a good distribution. After 3 months pure POS with 3,5% / year.

Thanks,
Chris
thank you for response, i don't mean to suggest you which algo to use but i would not like to see x11 destroing your effort and investors money.

Yes, I understand your concerns, don't worry and thanks for pointing out.

We changed our model of Distribution. Please check the OP

We are going to also invite miners to participate in this, for a better distribution.
We thought much about this after one member of the community suggested it.

Since we raised the total number of coins to 20.000.000, we lowered the presale limit to 60 BTC.

Your answers in the FAQ is exactly like CricCoin:

Another scam ??

No, you should ask that question in their thread, they are the ones copying the whole thread of our coin, a form of flattery for us in some way Wink

Thank you,
Chris

I just posted there the same question.
I think that you need to be aware to the fact that CricCoin dev. are copying your content. This may affect your credibility among potential investors.

Thank you very much for your concerns.
I don't know in which way that can affect my credibility.
I am an investor too, and I invested in a various coins. From my point of view, I can't take serious such an abuses (like copying somebody's thread).

Yes, I'm very curious why they are doing such things, maybe their parents did not offered them enough attention in their childhood, I don't know Smiley

Unfortunately there is not much I can do. Yes, I reported that to a moderator.
More than that, there is nothing else to do in a mature way. Starting a childish fight on a forum is not my type, I prefer to use that time for working on this coin
