63  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [TENTATIVE] - Stumptown Miners - Avalon PCB Assembly - West Coast USA on: May 21, 2013, 07:07:05 PM
Also interested, but on the eastcoast. Anyone tried an eastcoast assembler? I would be interested in K16 and K1 if possible.

+1

Steamboat is in FL and working on something.

I'm fairly sure you don't have to be in his group buy.

I have been following steamboat and have been very tempted to just pull the trigger on batch 3. I guess I did not see if HE was the assembler or if he HAD an assembler. He is across the alley for me, so I'll bug him some more.

Hey,

I'm looking to get some BTC pretty fast for a purchse, but the amount is a lot. Do we get a discount as we go up the tiers? We need 10k USD in BTC...whats the rate?

Any boards scheduled for hosting will have final assembly, firmware installation, and cluster integration within 48 hours of receipt from the assembly house.

Not sure what you mean here - are you planning on offering a hosting service?

That is correct. I will be offering hosting services in addition to chip purchase and finished boards.

Do you have an idea of the cost for 'hosted' chips and/or boards? Do you also assemble the boards? Being in S. Florida along with you, I feel you are my best connection for this (instead of another country for sure!).

I was curious when you bought it as I am trying to get one more 7950, haha.

Warranty is important to me because I run my cards hard.
Actually, I did register it when I sent in for rebate Smiley Registered on their site 5/13/13. If 2.5 is too high, make me an offer, I might say yes.
71  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 7950 used for 3 weeks on: May 16, 2013, 11:51:36 PM
I'm not trying to hammer your price, but I think it might be the fact that Powercooler just had a pretty nice sale of their 7950s at $250 a piece, brand new on Newegg w/game codes. The game codes are running $25-30 on eBay.

When did your warranty start for this one?

Isn't that hammering the price? Thus the riser and game card anyway...I know about the newegg deals. This one probably started when the rebate was created (even though I did not register it then).

I didn't mean to come off the way I did. I was simply trying to state why I think you aren't getting much bite. Not trying to say your asking price was bad.
I know..and I was giving you a hard time Smiley ...I've sold here before. If someone wants it, they want it. If they do not, well, I'm still mining with it anyway  Cool

Also, right now new cards are $300. So, if someone missed that great deal, here it is again AND the card is proven. I also have a 7870 tahiti, but I fear its having issues right now, and have to RMA it out Sad

74  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official CedarTec Topic - New ASIC [Scam?] on: May 16, 2013, 10:25:38 PM
Looking at this for a total of 10 minutes, I do ask: why a scam? So, you found a pic that looks like their 'proof'...maybe it was a prototype design, since their site still shows them testing?

Either way, they did an elaborate video to show their prototype just to scam an entire forum of naturally un-trusting patrons anyway (every sale is escrow). I do not see the risk/return for this scam, and they have put a lot of work into the video itself. Even the "ooh, flashing LED" still matches their overall design on the site.

Now, I"m not buying one of these, and some of these scam points are valid, but the non-scam logic out numbers the accusations. Anyone want to buy an ASIC miner that looks like a DIMM? I replaced the ram chips w/ Avalons...I swear...

Thats as far as I would go w/ a scam Smiley

Ah cool, all of 10 minutes, eh? Why don't you read the entire thread and you'll find out.

Not quite sure what credibility you expect to provide here, when you've just turned up, admitted to a ten minute browse and then led to a conclusion based entirely on assumption!?

Or was that humour? Undecided

Its not about credibility...and in fact, it was more to point out that this is not the place to scam, as most of us are naturally skeptical anyway. Ebay would be the best spot IMO. And yes, 10 minutes to see THEIR site was all I needed. Whether its a scam or not, most on this forum would not be dupped anyway....waste of forum space. Let the market resolve itself.

I would be willing to throw in a 1x to 16x riser cable AND the free games that came with this (Bioshock/Crysis) which I have not scratched off yet...but might soon  Grin
76  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 7950 used for 3 weeks on: May 16, 2013, 09:58:58 PM
