67  Economy / Speculation / Re: These instant changes in price... on: October 20, 2014, 12:32:05 PM
That's a free market and no regulation. That's what you libertarians wanted, right?

Correct. It will stabilize in time without any kinds of regulations and by then the price will be much higher (and people who sold in the current price range or even lower will feel rather stupid).

So you believe bitcoin will get stable at some point just by itself? I don't think so, imagine the US gov saying "all crypto is illegal" - market will sure react to such a bomb even after 10 years of succesful adoption.

When there will be enough users it will not react much. yes it will but that will be few %. Market always react, but when is stable is barely noticed.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why are people predicting the price going down? I predict it steadily growing on: October 20, 2014, 12:30:10 PM
Yes it's getting more "used", if by used you mean people like "Overstock" accepting it, and by accepting it you mean they sell at marketprice as soon as they get them. This is a problem. We need a real economy, that isnt.

I believe most merchant sell them immediately except for overstock. The ceo seems to keep a portion of it.

Merchants just sell goods they get from manufacturers. So unless they pay them in BTC yes they exchange BTC into whatever manufacturers want. Merchants are not wizards that use magic to get goods from thin air.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy now and howl for better price? on: October 20, 2014, 12:28:26 PM

Well,i bought at that price.Let's hope the price goes UP!  Smiley

If you sell now you will profit.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing faith on: October 20, 2014, 12:26:33 PM
And now we are up to $390 already, so you shouldn't lose faith just because it drop like 15$.

now we are sub 380

Don't create expectives so you will neer be disappointed

$384 now. it seems BTC become stable.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why (and when) the next bubble start. on: October 20, 2014, 12:25:00 PM

72  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be another crypto boom similar to BTC in my lifetime? on: October 20, 2014, 12:17:20 PM
Sorry this was it. We're all millionaires, and you're not.
i love this post  Cheesy

A lot of bitcoin millionaires in end-2013 must be regretting not selling out.   Grin

There is no bitcoin millionaires, there are lots of  few 1000 BTC holders, some few 10k BTC holders and few few 100k BTC holders. No millionaires.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Not Rebounding,why? on: October 20, 2014, 12:13:42 PM
As the title says why bitcoin price is not rebounding ? It is not bouncing back to its original value. It still didn't reached the min 450$. I think now price will be steady at 380$.
Any reason why its not getting his real value after crashing?

What is the real value you mention here?

Usually value is what sellers and buyers decide on the exchanges. It seems your real value gets decided somewhere else.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Collection on: October 20, 2014, 12:05:54 PM
I hath 30 bitcoins at the moment is that a good all round figure?? I wold of liked to have around 300, however...

I'm considering dumping all that and investing in a cheaper alt coin Peercoin because of Proof of stake it operates greener than bitcoin.

I don't want to go half and half its either all or none.

Peercoin price is at 1$ I'm not sure on the math but I suspect Peercoin is better for me I already hath 800PPC right now but I'm not sure if I should go all in to 11000 PPC and if the price of PPC goes up to 50$ or more the benefits would be huge I'm torn to shreds I can't stop thinking about it.

plus I hath x2[Antminer S1] running 24/7 I can get about 2-3 PPCs a day Bitcoin isn't worth mining anymore wots the incentive?

wot should i do?Huh

You should have 41.99999999 BTC that is number you will not be officially proclaimed rich.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is a time traveler on: October 20, 2014, 12:00:56 PM
Is Satoshi Nakamoto a person? I always feel it is a group and is not Japanese. How do you think? Is there anyone who has seen him? Or does this person really exist?

She is European
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unicef donations on: October 20, 2014, 11:52:02 AM
Unicef is a subset of the United Nations and should be avoided as much as possible.

Almost anything is subet of something. If even teh devil makes good things should be applaused for them.  And if God do bad things should not be overlooked.

lol i wrote this like would be written in bible.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The name of Bitcoin on: October 20, 2014, 11:46:08 AM
Bitcoin, its a cryptocurrency and most people know what it is all about by now. Now I was wondering the following, if you could redo bitcoin, how would u have named it?
Do u think the name affects the globalization and growth? Do u agree bitcoin (bit) sounds ''geeky''? I am interested in seeing some other comments on this.

Personally I think the name is simple and smart. I do think it has to be globally reasonable (unlike ex; doge), and geeky or not, bitcoin makes sense because its an electronic currency.

CryptoCarmen is best choice.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ebola's affect on Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2014, 11:45:06 AM
Anyone from the States need Ebola Proof Hazmat suits? Can do next day delivery.

I thought this was a jokey post but then I saw your sig, that is crazy!

lol why would be crazy? What will you do with the rest of your BTC, when you will get infected? Is worth 1 btc, not only 0.25.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three Men Mine $200,000 In Bitcoin Every Month on: October 20, 2014, 11:43:27 AM
Lets hope btc will go to $100 so they will stop wasting electricity Smiley
80  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Careful with BTC loans on: October 20, 2014, 11:42:03 AM
Loans and Bitcoins go together about as well as oil and water.

Never make gambling loans. That is a important thing to learn early as well in Bitcoinland.

But, if BTC pretends to be an actual currency, how will loans work? Because loans have to exist, otherwise unless you inherit money, you are out of the game if you want to start a business and whatnot..

Loans should work normally. But in this moment you are not legally well covered in most countries. But most important are you wiling to lose 1 BTC fro lets say 10% interests and that BTC will gain 100% value in this time. On my opinion is just not worth the risk. Yes if you loan to someone that is 100% trustful. Basically is same as with loaning anything else with difference that you must not lose your BTC!!!
