I am surprised to see that what people can do for free money, the price is rising due to fork which is planned for 25th October, so the people are buying bitcoin and selling altcoins for taking a chunk of that bitgold. And I believe that after the fork is done then the price of bitcoin is gonna fall back to where it was before this pump. But this pump is gonna benefit bitcoin in the long run for sure.

I don't think now that bitcoin can break $7k before fork, it is barely staying at $5.5k and also isn't able to breach $6k now, so there is very little time for it to reach $7k. Also bitcoin is not firm at $5.5k, is fluctuating so much daily that it's become hard to predict that either will it go up or come down, but as i heard that a lot of traders are backing it to go $6k plus near the day of the fork but beyond that the support is very less and it can come down before reaching $7k.

Bitcoin passed $6k mark on a few exchanges today but then it corrected back to $5.5k but I think the average price per bitcoin of $6k will be attained before the start of November. But after the hardfork the price can come down because then the momentum will shift towards ethereum and its hardfork which has already been implemented and also to other crypto so the price beyond $6k in the near future is hardly attainable, but if any news in favor of bitcoin comes then there can again be a price rally and then bitcoin price can go higher.
