Regarding the 10% dev bounty: The community would never accept a coin with 10% premine, because this is far too much. I can understand that you will need some compensation for your hard work. Nobody wants to work for nothing! But in my opinion 10% is a little bit too high. You should charge a more modest percentage for your development work. I guess this is the true reason for miners turning their back on you. The concept of this coin is really good. I like it and I am still mining it. But the most important thing at the moment is the reputation of this coin and not your compensation. If the reputation of this coin is ruined you will be left with empty hands. No, we plan to switch to POS after one year. really? are you aware that cryptonote isn't POS friendly? it's a good idea but i doubt that it's possible... you'll lose untraceable payments and unlinkable transactions. You really know the technology. It is easy to construct a POS transaction by one node, however, it is difficult for other nodes to check the POS transaction. (exactly, it is diffcult to check who owns DNC and who receives these DNC generated by POS) We don't have a full solution now, but we are interest at it. |

The hashrate of GPU mining declined rapidly, it is because the POW algo.
Wild Keccak uses a scratchpad to make hash operatioins.
The larger the scratchpad is, the less the hashrate is. So it is normal that the total hashrate is going down, and the harshrate of GPU goes down rapidly than CPU does.
However, because of the target time: 60 seconds (that is, block time), the hashrate of DNC decreases 4 times than BBR does. This is the main reason.
If we change block time from 60 seconds to 120 seconds, it will be ok.
Otherwise, the total hashrate will goes down, the hashrate gap between GPU and CPU will be less and less.
At last, DNC beccomes a CPU currency.

Wild keccak is a new methods of proof of work.No it isn't. This coin is a clone of Boolberry which has been around for months and is the first Cryptonote coin to change the algorithm from cryptonite. Don't clone someone else's work and then try and act like you developed something new. I will say one thing however. If you are going to clone a CryptoNote coin Boolberry is the most advanced one out of all of them. GPU mining tool will be available on lauching day. So did you just clone BBR and move the decimal a few places? How is this coin different from Boolberry? DarkNetSpace is based on BBR, however, some creative features will be released in the future not far away. We never hide the fact that DNC is based on BBR. Everything is running fine on my Nvidia card with the open_cl miner. On my AMD cards (280x and270x) the cards throttle a lot and only get about 9 kh/s whereas my Nvidia runs full throttle and gets 5,100 kh/s. Also I don't get any confirmed shares on my AMD crads but I do on my Nvidia.
I have the wxact same bat for both cards on the two seprate machines. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? They both are on Windows 7.
Generally speaking, mining on AMD work more fine than mining on Nvidia. Maybe you should update your AMD adapter driver. |
